Bluetooth woes on i-mate

I been having the following problems with using bluetooth on my imate. I have version 1.66 rom.
1. I would manually turn bluetooth on. A few minutes later, I notice that the i-mate automatically change the bluetooth mode to 'Discoverable'. It will remain in 'Discoverable' until I manually click the 'On' button.
2. I am having a problem using my i-mate as a bluetooth GPRS modem for my bluetooth-enabled laptop. I am able to get it connected successfully, but when I get an incoming call, the connection is lost. I have to do a soft reset on the i-mate in order to establish a connection between my laptop and the i-mate again.
Any help would be appreciate.
Thanks.

Use XDAII as a modem when there is no GPRS

Hi!
Thanks to all of your help I have finally been able to config my XDAII to work as a modem and connect to GPRS network both through IR and USB!
But last night there was a problem with the network which admitted that GPRS was down for an indefinite amount of time... so I need to connect using my XDAII as a "normal" non GPRS phone to connect to an ISP...
Has anyone done it and can tell me how to change the setting or how to set up a new connection to use XDAII as a modem?
Thank you,
Chris

gprs auto connects after wifi turned off

how do i stop this from happening? i'm thinking i should just remove my gprs settings so it can't connect but then i can't use MMS. it happens when i'm using messenger. i'll turn wifi off and then it will say connecting to gprs.. i click cancel but it doesn't register some times and goezs ahead and connects. any suggestions?
Same problem here ... I want my Qtek 9100 to always use my WLAN network if available. If not available it can use EDGE/GPRS.
Seems like the device turns of WLAN in standby mode and use GPRS in such cases.

Why it connects to my WiFi network?

Hello peeps,
I've got the following issue with my Atom.
When i remove it from the usb cable (Activesync) it connects automatically to my wireless router.
What is going on?
PS: The Atom has the latest official rom (not the Exec's one).
if you have WIFI turned on, it try to connect to all networks, that it can find.
turn off wifi.
Thanks for the reply.
The WiFi is off, i've double checked it.
bro, if wifi is turned off, it can't connect to any network
I know it sounds weird, but that's the truth!
I have turned off the WiFi and i'm attaching the device to the usb cable. Open ActiveSync, make a backup of my contacts for example. I remove the Atom off the cable and the WiFi turn on alone and connect to my USR9106 wireless router.
yes. it happens to me on my hp6828 as well:
wifi is turned off for sure.
dock to the usb for async wit outlook.
after sync, unplug the usb.
then the wifi starts searching for network and evetually gets connected to my home network.
btw bill, can i chck wit u wat is ur async setting? u can go to start>settings, click on connections tab then active sync mode. u hv 2 settings there: RNDIS sync mode and USB serial, which one is ur setting?
kjskho1 there isn't this option on my Atom.
ok... i suspect it's not device- or manufacturer-specific problem but active sync problem... if i found any result when i google around, will let u know then...

WiFi Autoconnect - not

I have an Orange SPV-M3000 with the original Orange WM5 ROMs (German, Switzerland) and want to use it only in my WEP WiFi network at home (I have removed the SIM card). When I turn it on, WiFi is disabled, regardless of the condition it was in at power off. Other communication settings are restored to their previous condition at power on. How can I get this to work for my WEP connection?
I have the same problem. I removed GPRS conection and i try to conect the hi-fi conection the IE search frist GPRS conection. I need to resolve this problem.
