Hi everybody,
I used to change dialer skins with DesignLab XDA Skin chooser but suddenly the skin is not changing.
Everytime I try to change it, the old one remains in use. And it's not the standard skin.
Anyone has seen this problem before?
If so how do you reset to the standard skin?
Where is it saved?
Thanks for your help
Hi Durius,
hmm, I never managed to change Dialer Skins with XDA Skin Chooser on my Himalaya Device. I rememer reading in this forum that the skin Chooser only works with XDA I Phones (but I may be mistaken). Just search the forum.
Instead I use V2R Skin Installer for Phone Skins.
You can get this at http://www.ppc-club.com
Additionally there are quite few Skins. Unfortunately you can D/L only two or three before they start charging you.
To be ahead of hshortt  , there are skins on his side too:

DOH! Pipped to the post again! hee hee
Hi,
I've used XDA skin chooser for sometime on qtek 2020 and it worked but then I could not change the phone skin anymore.
Now I've installed V2R and the question is that I want to use the t-mobile phone skin but I always get the skin previously installed.
So, what I would like to know is how to change the skin by hand...
Is there a way?
Thanks you all

Hmm,
maybe a more advanced user can point out a way to use the t-mobile customization cab located in the extended rom....
Or maybe you can use the Information provided in this thread:

Hi
I think the dialer skin is located ( at least on my O2 XDA2 ) under
windows\v2r\DialerSkins\o2_skin
I guess tmob will have something similar... so just exchanging these files should work

Thanks!
PSK Installer is free from V2R, there's also a copy hosted on my site for ease of access.

duplicate numbers in dialler drop down
Hi! First of all, thanks for this wonderful tool! Have a concern though...it seems when i press and hold the contact i need for the drop down list of numbers to appear, all the numbers have duplicates. it's not too bad except for contacts with several numbers...you can imagine how difficult it would be to choose which number... TIA!
Sorry, what about other languages? Russian for example

Hi, can someone post me the file too? thanks!
here
Thanks so much, Kropotov! Gonna install it now : )
is the the 'official' o2 phone plus that O2 released for the atom?
if so, do you know if it will work with the RW6828? I hear it is better than smart dialer..
Need the file too
How do I download the file?
Just click on "Download"
Make sure you are logged in
I have the HTC Smart Dialer Built in, is it possible for me to manually remove that and use the O2 Phone Plus? I installed it over my machine and it wouldnt work.
I tried the E-Ten smart dialers and skin but eventually, didn't like it.
The smart dialer and phoneplus from this thread works great for me, and I like the original small keys, unlike the E-Ten ones with big keys.
Only thing is, where can I find skins for this smart dialer?
I've just got an Atom Exec.
Been trying to change the default keyboard skin. I used Buzzdev.net and other skins but NONE of them work so far.
Anyone know how to work this out?
Thanks!!

Have you look at here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=48325
I have key skin of atom exec
Be careful about the Eten dailer skins!
It works alright on Atom. But when I uninstalled I ended with a white patch for dailer  The dreaded hard-reset was the only way out
Victor
I don't know why it doesn't work on my EXEC. It just turns out to be the standard White Keyboard....
still no one can get it to work?
Hi, I've created this dialer, it is tested on HTC Wizard, but it should work on other devices too. It includes my edited greenbatteryfix6 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=267321&page=5&highlight=greenbatteryfix6 ) too... Just unzip and install attached cab file...
New version: some bugs fixed, removed greenbatteryfix, so it should work on all devices now...
Looks real nice ! thanks ! Looks better than the standard dialer !
Is there a version without some battery fix malarky attatched to it? It's a very nice skin but it's a shame you made it unusable by adding this "fix".
hehe.
Looks like my old good Real Vista E-Ten Skin

Which rom do you using? It works on 2.x roms (I tested it on 2.21.2.7 and 2.26.10.2)

Nice dialer.. ..like the nice clean look of it
Will this work with WM2003se?
Jim:
Thanks for the dialer skin!! Mucho appreciated. I like the fact that it picks up my finger taps much better than the stock skin, and the whole design is very cool looking.
The only thing I noticed that was missing is the headset or 'handsfree' icon that showed up in the stock skin if your headset was connected. Is it possible to add that?
Thanks
Jeff

Unfortunatly it will not.
What you could do is search for the xPad Reflex Dialer it looks great! To bad it doesn't work on WM5.0.

I can create a version without this fix, but this fix isn't here only for changing batteryicon, but it is for changing images in call history, instead of the blue pictures, there are grey vista icons...

It should work, but the voice call button will be not there...
I've made a new version without battery fix and some other fixes, check the first post...
May I ask in which language you´ve written this? Do you use c++ or the .net compact framework?
Thank you
Dragi
I've made it by editing files from the rom and changing some values in registry. These files are not being written by me....

I am using the one off shoguns website it is great find it here at www.8525software.com
Finger Clix doesn't start up on my TyTn
After Installing Finger Clix and pressing the Imaginet Icon it doesn't start up. I have downloaded the latest version from their website.
Can someone Confirm that it really runs on a Hermes, I;m using the "RUU_Hermes_HTC_WWE_2.05.255.1_6275_1.34.00.10_108_Test.exe" firmware.
Regards Tom
FingerClix should work on all WM5 devices. I had it running on my Jasjar first and now on my Jasjam.
Regards

How much program/active memory does that dialer take up? 2MB file seems like its large-- but looks really cool.
