Has anyone gotten the T-Mobile USA Email Triggers software to work correctly on Windows Mobile 5? I'm talking about the software that came with the iPAQ phone they've got.
It runs on my old imate JAM, but I'm wondering if anyone got it to work on Windows Mobile 5. I installed it on a Himalaya running the WM5 beta, and the email triggers do seem to initiate a send/recieve, but then no new email messages are downloaded. I wonder if that's a bug in WM5 beta or what. Can anyone confirm that it works correctly on the latest WM5?
Yes I have it working!
Yes I have it working but have not made a cab installer for it yet. I will put one together for you and post it later today. Do you want the IM programs too?

I have the version that was posted here:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=45599&highlight=email+triggers
And that's the one that seems to have issues on the Himalaya WM5 beta. I have pre-ordered the HTC Wizard, so I was wondering if anyone got it working on a "Real" WM5 Pocket PC phone (as it appears you did!)
So yeah, if your version is better/newer than the one above, I'd love to try it. I don't think I really need the IM SMS programs, but maybe others would? Thanks!
Hey Sallala!
Your software is exactly what I've been looking for. It looks great but it didn't work for my Dopod 818 running the new Windows Mobile 5. The installation went fine, but when I try to select Blimkeys to type, nothing happens. I wonder is this a problem for me device or there isn't support for WM5 yet. It'll be great if you can get it to work on WM5!! I'll definitely make donations to you!
Hi all,
Is anybody has news about the upgrade to WM6 for the IPAQ 6915 (official or not)?
The main feature I would like is the sip integration.
i am intested also
So am I. I would be quite happy to see WM6 on my ipaq. Come on, developers!
i am intested also
as far as i see, most hardware and memory map are the same as universal. try to take xip from universal and build imgfs using sable drivers and any wm6 rom

It would be great cuz Im not so happy with WM5
typical, get shafted by HP again.... shell out close to half a grand on a device you expect that youll get some decent support with it and not for it to become obsolete quite this quickly....
Hp need to stop doing things like this, if the upgrade doesnt come about for the hw6915 its twice that they have done me soon after buying a new device from them.
Whats the score on an unoffical upgrade? The SIP/VoIP functionality for this device is just too good not to have (being a fully paid up vonage /vonage softphone user)

Saw the thread,
I've got the 6925 series, and the Universal WM6 rom. I'd be interested in any unofficial way to upgrade as well. Can someone PM me the info please? Thanks!

I have a HW6945, so I am interest in how you do it and if this worked for you, please feel free to PM me too
=It cannot be done.
it has to be done or i'll trow away this piece of cr*p so called HP 6915.
Cheap plastic covers, lots of scatches.... the only thing that will make me keep it is an rom for WM6.
or i'll try the new blackberry. at least it looks better.
All the best from romania...

Well, dont agree here...
6915 is far best pda i owned... stable, works nice, keyboard is great, everything works as it should just need to customise it...
the plastic is ok until you start to drop it on the floor...
official WM6 will never be on this phone, wait for another 6XXX release with WM6 if you want it so badly...
P.
don't want to star a flame but...
the diference between a Palm operating system and a similar win is huge. never have to close manually aplications that use memory for nothing, avery couples of days i have to reset it. i admint i use it a lot, because is my phone, my navigation, my agenda, my everything. but is not an escuse...
i'll wait for a release ...
are you sure that you know how to use a winmo phone? if you like palm os that much, why dont you get a treo? LOL
well because the only gps software who has good coverage of romania is i-go, and the only version it has it's a win mobile version.
i have a win mobile pda phone and that's it ... i have to use it.
by the way, does anybody tried gps software like igo, tomtom, etc, with wm6?
how it's like?

Sorry but maybe I didn’t get you right
My English is so so
You are saying that you find WM unreliable due to the fact you are not familiar with a 3prt app to close running program when tapping on the O.K. (try SPB PLUS it will fill like palm)
WM by default enable you to minimize and you can run thins in the background
Let's say you want to copy/compare info from a note to your contacts list
You just SW between the apps (there are a lot of uses for running things in background)
Maybe you prefer learning every time a new OS when there is a new device?
The grate thing with WM is that all the things you are used to on your home pc you perform on mobile with the same approach
You just need to replace the mouse right click with tap & hold and left click with a tap
Remember that the default is minimize and if you want to close app you tap on your virtual keyboard CTL then tap on Q
Good luck
Hope I helped
I tried every single realease i could found but no one of them works on my ETEN X500 .
Is there any registry hack or tip to make it work ?
Is there any other version for non htc devices
The thing about windows mobile is that everything is standardized.
Any application, unless it makes changes to device specific settings, should work with every other device.
That said, it's probably not your phone, but more likely your OS. Are you WM6 or WM5 or whatever. I know it works in 6.
work on all devices as he says
Hello
I know, it is not the correct tread but perhaps somebody can help me. I'm using the PDA Viet Touch FLO Rom on my Herald and dont like the color of the Audio Manager. Does exsist somewhere a differen color skin for it? And is there a pssibility to show the cover of the song, which is playing.
Thanks in advance for your help
Regards, Tommy

I have WM6 , after installing i get the same message '' The file 'Audio Manager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate , or one of its componets cannot be found . ''
Hi,
sorry if this has been asked before, i searched but found nothing specific so here goes.
i have been asked by my bro-in-law to downgrade his t-mobile mda compact v to wm5 so he can use the apps he needs to use for his job as a sky satellite engineer.
apart from ruining a perfectly good phone, i'm afraid that it will run like poo and crash often.
so, is there a way to install a wm5 rom to this handset and where do i find a compatible rom?
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks
ave'
i dont think thats possible, but the apps he use should work in wm6 too.
i use apps from wm2003 and wm5 in wm6 so that wouldn't be a problem i think
cheers mate,
i will try that route and see how it goes.
ever tried looking for an old phone that still running wm5 at ebay?
