does any1 know when the update with the profile will come?
i have a BT stereo headset but it doesn't work without a2dp
please help!
SOS :?
All the rumors I've been seeing point to "second week of January" or "end of the month [January]". So hopefully soon we'll have the MSFP & digital audio over BT. I've been lamenting it in private and finally made my frustrations known over at PPCT

Hi all!
Somebody knows if there is any chance that we will get to see an A2DP Profile on the XDA2 anytime soon? This would be soo cool and the possibilities are endless!! Its so frustring having a device that "could do it all" but then its still not possible.....:?
There are a lot of interesting devices coming to the marktet now (BT Stereo Headsets, BT-Audio Transceivers and Receivers to connect to HIFI Equipment)
check it out:

and a cheap one (sold here in Switzerland)

I just wonder why there is nobody or even a company like Widcomm developing these missing profiles (like PAN Profile, BT-Network access etc..) for the XDA. I would definitly be willing to pay if you could buy them on Handango or so....
Cheers
Has anyone know A2DP on either PDA or Smartphone?
It's compatible with MDA Compact (XDAIImini) ?
RE
I tried the A2DP profile on my WM2003SE O2 XDA II with Widcomm bluetooth stack and the sound through my iPHONO bluetooth headphone was crappy. Many times there were interruptions like split second cut off and then the music would resume.
I used GSPlayer and faced some problems like the volume slider does not function, does not automatically jump to next track upon completion of the current sound track etc
BTW, you'll need to enable the Headset and the High Quality Audio profiles for the iPHONO headphone in order for it to work.
Also, Widcomm bt stack does not support headset profile
Anyone can help on this please:
Any way to listen MP3 by bluetooth handfree using mini??
Many many many thanks
Not at the moment.
The M$ stack does not support the audio gateway profile.
In fact the consensus is that the M$ stack is ****e.
There are other stacks that can be installed, bluesoil and Toshiba IIRC, but they are buggy and I dont know if they do the audio gateway profile.
let us pray that HTC see the light and release a better BT stack!
Thanks, let see anyone can break through this problem.......
Do you mean something like this :-
Media Player Headset with Bluetooth wireless technology
http://www.itechdynamic.com/html/products.htm
Yes, but I think they don't work on O2 mini, because of the microsoft BT stack...... hope some body can make the patch for this.
download bluetooth update patch for PPC, it pass test on o2 mini. for detail please check http://www.pocketpc.com.hk/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=18189
it is CHINESE web site from Hongkong.
They said it is not support on O2 mini.........
If I installed a BT dongle on a PC... it support all... including audio gateway.. I can listen mp3s via headset...
why O2 just can't do it the same way... :? since all are based on BT technology...
samsonlo, some message from that web site said: It can support O2 MINI.
I'm not sure, Maybe?
Thanks anyway, will have a try tonight.............
If O2 mini can be supported. please send some sugeestion here, thanks!
yes please keep us updated
The Hands free profile is not meant for audio streaming and i doubt that the wave output of the Magician is connected to this profile - it also isn't for the headset profile.
You need the A2DP profile, which is not included into the MS-Stack - and this has so much nothing to do with O2. It was HTCs decision to include the MS Stack into the Magician, not O2 or any other reseller. The Broadcom update is for their stack, not MS. Someone posted that some (commercial) developers are working on the A2DP profile for the Magician, which is not available yet, from what I know.
The Eten M500 (which uses the M$ Stack) has now been patched to allow Voice command over Bluetooth. People are trying to dump the rom so we can see how it has been done.
There is a threrad running on HoFo

Any one on here got an Eten?

This update is for the Widcomm stack. Not the MS stack that the JAM uses. It will NOT work on the JAM...it would be nice, but it doesn't.

Hey, that's my bluetooth headset, I-Tech Stereo Headset. It does work fine with the Magician with the headset profile. But since there is no support from MS Stack for A2DP, there is no way to listen to Media Player on it.
I do use it with my PC bluetooth dongle v1.2 (with Bluesoleil stack) with the A2DP.

Is it possible to get stereo over bluetooth? And which headset should i buy if so?
Thanks
Hi q-big,
Sorry no stereo yet on the K-Jam using a Stereo headset (bluetooth).
I use a Motorolla Bluetooth Stereo headset but the A2DP profile is not supported yet by the K-Jam. There will be an ROM upgrade coming beginning next year including this profile so not yet!
You can use mono for the headset using a tiny switch program somebody on the forum made. Then all sound will be sent to your headset in mono. It is not super but I've been enjoying it since!
Wouter
q-biG = q-biq ;P..
thanks for the answer. then i think i'm gonna wait for the upgrade, mono sucks
Hello,
Maybe you could try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532
It does work for Magician and seems that a Universal owner also installed it sucessfully.

I tried, but it does not work with my Dopod 838, aka HTC wizzard. Seems to be the restriction of WM5 and need to wait for the update from MS. Maybe you can check this post PREVIEW: Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 2 Bluetooth A2DP Profile for reference.

i just bought o2blue and very interesting when riding motorcycle with a cool mp3 songs.....but till now I still cant off it...dont know how....waaaaaaaa
motorol have a new stereo bluetooth headset, i bought it but brought it back to the shop as it was far to big, not only that bu the design also hurts your ears after a while. I've personally alway been after a stereo bluetooth headset bu all the ones i have tried in the past (yes sony did make one years ago) i've found to be bad in performance
So I have been reading many many posts about bluetooth static while on a call and the phone being very close to the headset. I have similar problems with my PDA2k.
I also carry a blackberry 7105t and the bluetooth is flawless and very clear.
With the new release of Qtek AKU2 ROM 1.30.77 1.30.176 1.09.00 WWE
Which Radio version is best for the USA and T-Mobile?
Does the Radio have "anything" to do with the Bluetooth clarity (static in the earpiece between the xda and the bt500)?
I am on the phone ALL DAY and can not hold any phone to my head so I need my bt500 to work well with whatever i buy and so this is the last thing i need to clear up before i make the purchase. Any help is appreciated. FISH
Anyone?
Seriously no one uses the Jabra bt500 - it is an AWESOME headset. You could play any sport with it in and it wont fall out and the clarity is perfect - WITH THE RIGHT PHONE.
Please someone chime in here........
FISH
The BT 500 is one of the best headsets out there, if you are getting static try re-pairing your headset.
Jabra official support will tell you that the phone should be on the same side as the headset.
If it's too bad I would try to have Jabra swap it out under warranty.
How can i repair?¿?
Thanks
You can't repair you can try to delete the partnership and then pair it again.
thanks, but it´s solved the stactic ?¿?
Regards
I get frustrated that only few Motorola BT heasets have an audible "call disconnected" tone feature. I have owned several BT headsets from Motorola and the audio degraded on all of them to the point where I have had to buy a new one. Surprise, Surprise! I really want to purchase a Plantronics Discovery 640 BT headset, but the ONLY thing I dislike is that this feature doesnt exist on it. Is there anyway that you awesome developers could come up with a tweak or app that can make a audible notification (that can be heard on the headset) right before the BT Audio Gateway closes, indicating that the call has been disconnected? I searched up and down on this awesome website and couldnt find anything about this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, you guys are the best!
