de-install spb and find another tool to do the functions you need.
had the same thing in several program-combi's and install-order
that bad huh.. i looked around and found Spb connected issues..
thanks
I use all pda soft by spb, I find it great. the problem you mentioned used to afflict also my 9000, but it has been 99% solved after installing the last pocketplus version (should be 3.1.2) which fixes the memory leak and looks like its a lot faster than the others. on the other hand, it is slow while loading the today plugin only after a soft reset or when you modify it, since it has to cache again all the icons, tabs and so on. apart from those events in my 9000 its rare delays are fairly acceptable if compared to an absolutely stable software, which is perfect in my opinion!
My MDA pro was very slow when I had the battery indicator used on my today screen. Removing it solved my problem. Maybe yours too...???
I also use the latest versions of SPB and of course the speed of your Universal will be slightly reduced. You are running some extra programs, but I find it working relativly quick. I still have 22mb of working memory left after a soft reset with all the SPB apps opened. Only SPB diary can take some seconds to load when you haven't used it for a while.
Simple question - What's around the lowest program memory that you can have on the wizard before it 1) becomes sluggish 2) shuts down?
My 8125 seems to get really sluggish at aroun 5 - 6 MB, but I start getting the "critically low memory" error messages at about 2 - 3 MB, depending on what I'm trying to do at the time. It shuts itself off when it gets lower than 1MB. It's only shut itself off once since I've had it.
After that, I started looking at why the system resources were so low. I replaced programs that were "memory hogs" with similar programs that left less of a footprint. I now run Magic Button to make sure programs CLOSE, rather than using up memory resources in the background.
At this point, i average between 15MB - 18MB free Program Memory at all times, and 12 - 15 MB Storage Memory free . . . just about where I want it.
That low, eh? I don't think I've gone lower than 10 and that was before vbar (then the logical switch - Magic Button). I've started using WAd and it does to program memory what a girlfriend does to my wallet.
Ditto that on WAD!!
I had also tried the Spb products and also Resco. Finally gave them up for Sbsh iLauncher, Pocket Breeze and Pocket Weather (which I have integrated into Pocket Breeze as a custom tab). I keep iLauncher on my Today Screen, but keep Pocket Breeze minimized until I need to see my agenda or check the weather forecast.
Replaced Resco Editor with Total Commander and run PHM tray launch with just the psShutSP shortcut and the command center icons for iLauncher and PocketBreeze. Couldn't use Batti -- it crashed my unit; same thing with RhinoStats. I now use ResInfo150, which also puts the battery and memory meters in PHM launch tray.
Spent almost 4 months trying out different things -- installing and uninstalling, hard resets, soft resets, etc. etc. Last night, I downloaded and installed a couple of skins for WMP -- a Windows Vista theme and uPod (makes it look like an Ipod). I am now happy with what I'm running and the way my 8125 performs. (But, that doesn't mean I won't keep looking for "new" things, some "new" tweaks, and DEFINITELY some upgraded ROM's!!)
I was wondering who out here is using WAD on there wizard. I ran it for a few days but I was constantly having system lock ups I think cause it was hogging so much memory.
My desktop was 3 pages, main page runing phone alarm. Second page with Pocket breeze and weather. And a final page with pocketrss and soem photo speed dials. I also run Verichat and photocontact pro in the background continously.
What is everyone experiences using WAD. I really want a Tytn. Anyone know how much memory it has verse the wizard?
WAD can be memory consuming. I gave it up after it got too addicting and I need to speed more than the look. I just stick to wisbar advance. I suggest OC' your Wizard.
I bet WAD will run better with tytn, processor much fast. But I'm still debating after reading to many complaints about the tytn.
I am overclocked at 228.
so what do yall think about the two programs... what's the pros and cons between the two..
right now im running htc home and its okay so far but im not sure if I want to install pocket plus 4 on my wing... im testing pplus 4 on my mda...
I like the htc home plus screen is because the large clock, lol, and nothing else. I like the pocket plus 4 because I can tweak the icons, auto hide, minimize it/auto-hide, has the smart scroll thingie, and have today plug-ins as well. I read that Spb Pocket Plus 4.0.1 beta 2 is out, so it's getting even better. In a nutshell, for me, both apps compliment the other. But I'm leaning towards using the Alexk's Alldate app and the SPC pocket plus beta 2 simultaneously.
I use RLCalendar for a large clock and date display. It would be nicer if it had centering and font selection, but it's good enough for me.

I have noticed severe battery drain since installing PDAVIET.
SPB Pocketplus 4 + SPB Mobileshell + HTCHome
I have installed both trial verisons and guess what... they become one!
Spb pocketplus integrates into the mobileshell, or the mobileshell integrates into pocketplus. Whatever.
The union rocks and loads you of several useful features without loosing any, but, HTCHome is a must on the today screen because of the clock (puma white downloaded) and the quick acces to SMS and e-mail.
I have left the HTCHome with only 4 tabs (Home, weather, Apps and Profiles) and that makes it much comfortable to use. Now the profiles (Normal/Vibrator/Silence) are also accessible from the mobilshell today screen.
The only thing that I would add is the (must have) batterystatus (added the Reduser skin), which shows GSM Signal strength, powerdrain and, of course, the battery level.
Regards,
I changed my home screen, thus losing the HTC Home Plus screen in favor of installing Alexk's Alldate app (which you can see) that displays the time and date in big letters and numbers, and keeping the Spb Pocket Plus 4.0.1 beta 2 in auto hide mode.. I like simplicity.
how do u add the htc weather.exe to the pocket plus???
Iam trying to add the weather here
Hello @ all,
I´m using Pocket plus 4, Mobile Shell, Phone Suite, GPRS Monitor, Insight, Traveler, Finance, Resco Explorer in the Tabs.
All in Auto Hide mode, so Resco Today don´t needs the Memory all the time. All apps are running on my SD-Card.

Rom-Date: 03/19/07
Radio: 02.85.90
Protokoll-Version: 4.1.13.39
For 4 weeks now, and no problems, till of the Slow Bootup aprox. 1:10 min
This might be of the 2MB PagePool.

for the Reboot Problem, use an Fileexplorer as TC or Resco and rename the File omap850_sdhc.dll in Windows to omap850_sdhc.old and softreset.

hope it help't.
hello!
i would like to use GSPlayer in HTC Home plugin at the music tab.
i like this player because it has equalizer and it is simple etc etc..
and wmp or htc audio has not got
(bassboost.cab not working on htc herald- i have htc herald )
so my question is: is it possible to use this app in place of wmplayer or htc audio?
thanks,
pulyka
i just say no to pocket plus
I had no choice but to do a hard reset on both my wing and mda.. kept having the same problem with the reboots, and random resets on its own... I might try resco file explorer instead... the smart scroll feature was cool but not that serious for me... and pocket plus was preventing my mda from charging aslo.
I liked lite but when I tried to use pocket plus with the cube....all went to hell. I just reflashed the orig rom. got battery...and added pocket plus. i am very, very happy. I loved the cube, but is seemed mostly for show. i do miss the phone contacts page from the cube though

The battery on HTC Touch Elfin deplete very fast with SPB mobile. Never have the issue with TouchFlo, and TouchOne I changed it yesterday and now it is left 53%. With Touch Flo or TouchOne, I can get the battery to last for 2 days plus. Anyone with there with same issue? Any recommendation beside not using SPB Mobile.
I want to use it because I like to switch Today screen once in a while.
update:
Using stock ROM on HTC Touch Elfin.
SPB Mobile 3.5.3.
Well thats how things are, i dont think there are many ways to make SPB mobile
battery efficient
not sure if this is too much help - but when I had an omnia, i found the battery drained quicker when I had it installed to the SD card apposed to the actual memory.
Also, have you tried with playing around with the layout etc? Do you have more widgets then you can shake a stick at, or just time phone e-mail and voicemail etc?
Probably it is caused by the default SPB Mobile shell animation. I scrolled to left right a lot on this shell. However when I install WP7 theme from MSkip, the battery don't drain so fast compare to the original SPB Mobile shell.
Anyway, I have hard reset my Elfin few days ago, need to reinstall SPB Mobile shell back to see if it is really the case.
