When moving from my old phone to Universal, I saved the SMS in the old phone memory to the SIM memory. I have then put the SIM into the new Universal.
How do I view and/or extraxt the SMS in the SIM into the Universal?
Go to Buzzdev.net. There is an application in the download section that allows you to do that.
Tried "SIM Messaging" and it wokrs great to read the SMS messages stored on the SIM and to back them up to a text file.
However, is there a way/software to transfer them from the SIM card memory to the phone memory pertaining to SIM messages?

Hi,
I've transferred all my contacts on my SIM into pOutlook contacts. The direct consequence of this is redundant entry when i use the smart dialing. To avoid this, i'm looking for a way to disable the SIM phone list access. Disable doesn't mean deleting all entry on my SIM because i switch my SIM regularly from one phone to another so i need to keep them on the SIM.
Anyone has got an idea ?
regards
Cedric
I have 2 sets of contacts, 1 from the sim card and 1 set copied from the sim card.
How do I turn off the set form the sim card?
I have look for the option in the sim manager but cant find it
Thanks
Danny
As far as i know it's not possible to hide your SIM-contacts
Why?? Nobody knows, you could hide contacts on the smartphone, so why not on this device
ok thanks anyway
Danny
I have one question. If I copy contact from phone to SIM card then I see names from phon and names from SIM card together. I don't like to see in that way but I also want to have backup of contact on my SIM card.
Could someone help me?
Bye

hi borut
download and install TrinityHacks
launch it
go to Phone tab
tick 'Hide Sim Contacts'
close TrinityHacks
you may/may not need to soft-reset before it takes effect
Hi there.
I don't understand this.
I have a lot of stored SMS in my Leo. When I browse them, the name of the person which is displayed is always the name stored in the the SIM contact, and not in the Device Contacts.
To make it easier, just an example:
In my SIM device I have this contact: Julian Oppenh?
In my device I also have this contact: Julian Oppenheimer (Shop)
If he sends me an SMS, it always shows "Julian Oppenh?"
If I remove this contact from my SIM card, then the name will be properly displayed ["Julian Oppenheimer (Shop)"]...but I don't like the idea of removing it from my SIM card!
If I receive an SMS from someone who exists in my device contacts but not in my SIM card directory, then the name is displayed as it should (obviously).
Anyone else had this issue? Hox can this be fixed? Is there a way to tell my Leo that information in device must prevail over information in SIM card?
Thanks in advance.
No one else has this problem??
I don't use SIM contacts ever, just sync your phone to your PC and delete the SIM contacts as they're backed up - end of issue
I found a way to solve this issue. I'll leave the method here just in case someone else has this problem.
I removed the SIM card, backed up my contacts & messages with PIMBackup, inserted the SIM card again, restored copy with PIMBackup and voila!
EddyOS, thanks for the tip, but the thing is that I wanted to keep these contacts in my SIM card, you never know.
Cheers,
Hi
I've a noob question:
Is there a way (maybe an app) to add more than one number, Group numbers, attach an image to a contact I saved on my sim card? I'm able to set these actions on my Gmail or phone contacts but not on my sim contacts.

Click to collapse
SIM cards were never designed for those extra features, specially photos.
there's no easy way to save all the extra numbers and pictures of a contact into a SIM card, to use it on different phones, because every phone reads the data differently.
SIM cards only store contact names per single phone number, and your own phone number along with the carrier.
Thanks, lucky there is a copy sim to phone option.
