update radio module separately? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I own a German HTC Wizard and I don't want to update to the latest English ROM due to the peculiar German keyboard layout, which would be lost.
Since I see some of you guys have newer radio versions, I would like to know if I can update the radio module separately.

I report:
ROM v3.14.02
Radio T310 (4.14 now, though )
add it to yout database, Ihaven't seen it there
the Language extender you mention is a userland program similiar tu PiLoc, not a part of ROM
can somebody recommend me an update for this? my radio rom is from O2 now, I plan flashing whole O2 Ireland image in it as I haven't found a more recent 900/1800 ENG version. is it ok?
Why do you wan to flash installed version of T-Mobile Czech?
Have you done localization into Czech language? I had a trouble after doing that, no task reminder was shown on TODAY's screen. Did it happend to you as well?
I had to change to original English version to have it in operation.
I have flashed the GSM Radio part only, the OS remains intact.
I don't care about localisation as it generally sux
The version I have has one important feature miissing - the GPRS Always On function...
Where did you take the ROM from? I haven't found a more recent ENG version which would flash into this one ;(
I report:
T-Mobile Czech works with O2 Ireland OS+GSM version for XDA it just needs some handy work with hexadecimal editor convincing updater to do it
new xda2 user
ahoj, im new XDA2 user, do you have some usefull programs for change ? (auto on/off radio) etc ? bye Tom

ROm Update, Radio Update, OS Update..?????

I am a little confused on the various types of updates that are avaible.
Does the Rom update contain a Radio Update??
IS the GSM update the same as a Radio Update...is the ROM update include the OS???
thanks...
The Radio unit Update (RUU or Program A) is the OS ( PPC2002)
The radio stack upgrade (RSU or Program B) updates the phone part.
Be very careful with the RSU upgrade. Only do it if you have problems.
regards,
silver
and to confuse matters, RUUv1.09_CEv4.00.05wwe_o2_Ozone.exe contains a rsu-4.21 update
another way to distinguish them:
- wince os updates are usually about 15M
- radio stack updates are usually about 2M

Several upgrading questions

Hello,
I have a Qtek 2020i which has an english ROM (the details are at the bottom).
This was bought in Portugal.
Where can I find compatible ROM, Radio, Protocol and ExtRom upgrades?
Thx
JM
ftp://xda:[email protected]_Ext-1.11.162_Radio-1.04_O2stuffstripped.rar
with Radio versoin 1.04
Hello,
How do you know it is compatible with Portugal's mobile operators?
Does this upgrade include the Protocol version 1337.42?
Where can I find the changes between my current version and this one?
Something like a ChangeLog (if you know the terminology).
Thx
JM
Essential, each of the devices from different suppliers is the same, apart from maybe the casing.
The operator settings are stored in the extended rom (search the forum for instructuions on how to access this), and these are what you are likely to need to get it working properly.

Radio firmware to 614c?

Hello
I'm reading a lot in this forum, but I can't really understand all the updates, firmwares and stuff.
I have a iPAQ 614c (bought in Sweden) and flashed it with WM6.5 (21232 Beta 6 WWE). It works great, so far better than the 6.1 beta (thanks keyx!)
Since I got this phone I've some problem with the calls, sometimes it's bad sound quality, sometimes people try to call me, but the phone don't ring.
1. Does a newer radio firmware solves these kind of problems?
2. Is it possible to flash back a radio firmware if a newer doesn't help?
3. Which radio firmware is the best and compatible with my Ipaq?
4. I've tried flash to v.0.89 but the update program says my phone is not compatible (Product IDs: FA988AA#ABB, FA988AT#ABB, FA992AA#ABB, FB136AA#ABB, and FA992AT#ABB is supported), mine is called A992AT#ABS. Where do I find one for my phone?
5. On hp.com says modem fw, is it the same as radio fw?
Very thankful for all answers!
Sry for my bad english.

HTC HD mini Radio rom?

Hi,
Look's like I made problem at start, I have Spanish vodafone version of Mini and I wanted to change language to English and I made mistake, I flashed factory radio with official (you can see that on htc web page) radio rom, but I didn't see this radio is for every version except this one I have. Is there any solution to downgrade-change radio to some working one again with SSPL_mini without HSPL?
Now I don't have GSM signal on phone at all, wifi is ok. Or is there any other radio rom to download because I can't find any.
