The following features are copied and pasted from the Jabra site:
Faster speech channel handling – the call is transferred to the headset faster
Faster reaction on Key-presses during incoming call
The missing international prefix "+" is displayed in your caller list thus allowing you to dial out from your Jabra BT800
I confim all above is true
Hello,
Is the jabra bt 800 only display the phone number of the caller or display the contact name when the contact is register in the contact book ?

The Jabra BT 800 shows only the caller ID "the phone number of the caller" but not the contact name when the contact is registered in the contact book.
I sent an email to their technical support to ask them if we can expect any up-grade which can allow the name of the caller to appear on the screen, and I expect their reply after the Christmas holidays.
When I get any reply from them I will paste it here.
Regards,
The upgrade if worth doing. Sound reception more realistic and pick-up quality nice and loud. One obvious change to the menus - easier access to the menus.
caller ID
if stored in the phone contact is not shown with the Universal. With other phones it works great. You don't see the number, you see the name.

I'm having real trouble doing this.
As soon as I release the end button, the "DFU mode" dissapears off the screen, it seems to reboot then says charging?
And as for the upgrade thing, it won't let me press next?
BT800 upgrade buggy
Having problems with the new upgrade. Now my BT800 headset does not vibrate when I get an incoming call. Wonder if there is a way to reverse the upgrade. Anyone else having this issue as well?
Wow, I have the same issue as the setting would revert back to audio alert even after i set it to vibrate??? I have also experienced frequent static sounds and choppy reception since the upgrade...anyways to reverse it??
Thanks
I've just upgraded mine without any problems..

The DFU disappeared on mine as well and you should then see/hear the sound of a USB device being added.. once that has happened, the "upgrade thing" then recognises your BT800 and will allow you to press "Next"..

Vibration works fine on mine after the upgrade.. Don't want to appear sarcastic/rude/stating the obvious, but you DID switch Vibrate mode back on AFTER the firmware upgrade ?
(Settings > Ring Type > Silent >Vibrate Alert > ON)
HTH
My BT800 upgrade worked okay. Better voice pick-up, so looks like they have improved their DSP s/w.

Thanks for the note, Taiseer. Don't know whether it will make any difference: my BT800 was a Christmas present.
I think the missing transfer of names to the headset (instead of just numbers) is a Universal problem, not a headset problem. Hopefully future ROM upgrades by O2 or whoever will add this feature for us.

[REQ] Does anyone know if there is a way to close the dialer on call end? I always have to turn it off manually, which is a bit annoying. Thanks!
I think you might be on to something here, im having some issues with landscape mode and the dialer that only occurs when i have "non closed" dialers in the background.

+1! I'm annoyed by this too!
+1 same here, if you dont close it and just put it in your pocket, The person's name gets pushed and it calls them back, very annoying.
+1
When I press END CALL, I want it to end...I don't need to see the dialer again.
Obviously everyone has figured out you can hit the end call button twice and it retuns to the home screen but I am with you. While at some points I may be making a call and then another call and the number may not be in my phone book and I may actually need the dialer again, mostly I dont. I would much rather it just go back to home screen when the call is ended as the default action.

I usually have to hit END CALL 3 or 4 times before the stupid phone responds. But yes, I too would like the dialer to go bye bye and return to the home screen. I guess leaving it up is convenient for people that make a lot of consecutive calls, but that's a minority of users (i.e. teenage girls/hard core business users).

You know I haven't been patient enough to wait 5 secs...but if that's the case...there should be a registry key for that we can change.
confirmed ... after 5 sec it dissapear ... but i can`t find registry key to change that time :/
I wonder if it actually closes or if it goes into some sort of hidden minimized view, i will try to ul a video i captured of the behavior im having.
I need this too much too
http://www.soft.nu/~andhil/htctouchpro.wmv
3.5MB .wmv of the issue i think is related to "unclosed" dialers.

Some people would like to have the call history
Actually it is possible, if you are very careful, to press the call button to go to Dialer without redialling. Perhaps it a is sensitivity issue on the phone.

I know Sifaan,
But I erase call History, messages, mail, empty cache anyway to keep phone clean and save memory/storage space.( then use clean ram )
this is for those who find the redial issue annoying enough to sacrifice call hist.
to stop the problem. But I get your point.
I know this is an odd question but I'm trying to figure out what the button to the left of the call button in the phone is. It's a picture of a microphone with a phone.
I debloated using the toolkit (Galaxy S5 ALL-IN-ONE Toolkit v1.7) and whatever it was is now deleted. I'm going through and adding back some of the things i don't consider bloat and am just wondering what this button was supposed to do.
<edit> come on, 28 people have looked at this and no response. PLEASE just click the dang thing and tell me what it does. I'll hit the thanks button.

If you tap the button it allows you to speak the name (if in contact list) or number of a person you want to call.

thanks. taking out s-voice must be what deactivated it
I'm not sure S Voice has anything to do with it, as you can also tell the button to use Google Search as a voice dialer.
Edit: Never mind, it definitely is S Voice. You can use Google Search for a voice dialer, but you still must have S Voice installed for it to work, even if you don't use it.
