i read that it only accepts branded memory and Im looking to put in a 1GB SD card

I use a mobymemory card and works well in my qtek.
This thread should help some users found success with unbranded in their vario - but personally would stick to branded. - some reports mainly of the cheaper cards of people losing data etc..

I use a 2 gig Sandisk. Works like a charm in my Orange M3000 with the Qteck test ROM (that includes Stereo BT and Pushmail)
