How to disable the “ok” message? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi
I have a K-jam (wizard), and I want to disable that annoying “OK” message that appears in the end of a fone call.
That “ok” message deletes the information given by the operator (price and time spend in the call) .
Can some one, help me? TKS

I don't think that can be done at user end,you should ring your operator and find out how to opt out of this service.

You just get a notification when your sms is delivered to the receipient...
HTH
Stefan
it sends you a confirmation SMS when your SMS has been consigned on receiver device (if he's out of coverage or with the device turned off you will not receiive the confirmation until the receiver is became reachable).
tested on Imate JAM, works perfectly.
imate jam already has this built in? check the options out when creating a new message it will have a tick box saying: Request message delivery notification
@gazzaman: yes, but you have to check it every time. This defaults it as checked.
ah cool cheers didnt know that
i wonder to know how to read SMS from SIM card?
anyone knows?

O2 Delivery reports
I don't get delivery reports with O2; I've read about a code that you need to enter before the message but is there any other way to activate it - who watched watchdog tonight o2 got a slatting :-(
O2 Sms delivery reports
To force an SMS delivery report on the O2 UK GSM network prefix the SMS message with *0# followed by the message. Example *0#Hello......
Incidentally, there are codes which can force an SMS message to screen, etc. but it is so long since I used them I have forgotten - anybody remember?
If you use that code to get a delivery report on O2 tho, if the receiever chooses to reply to your SMS, they will not be able to send the message. Not sure why this is, but I had this problem and after a little googling discovered that it's a problem with the way that O2 implements delivery reports!
Why oh why can't O2 just do it the standard way?!? Then we could just use the delivery report check box as well instead of having to type a code!!!

My sms gone mad!

Hello all,
I have my Qtek S100 for about two weeks and now some friends have allerted me that they were receiving twice each sms i sent. I have now compared with the gsm-operator bill that came today and they are charging me twice for each sms.
How can i fix this, sending only one sms and not two??
Regards,
Antonio
Basically, don't close your messaging app before you get confirmation that the SMS is sent. I guess that you use SPB Plus and that you actually close the app instead of minimize it? Try to exclude it from the apps that SPB Plus closes by adding it to the list under the options for the close button.
do you have the habit to turn off the pda (power off) after you send an sms?
The reason being, if the sms is not sent, i.e. you don't see the "message sent" bubble, and you turn off, the next time when you turn on again, it'll resend again.
I think you are using SPB pocketplus aren't you ?
Open pocketplus, select close button. hit feature options. Add exeptions, search in the windows folder for TMAIL.EXE and add that.
Your problem will be solved !
problem solved, i think
thanks guys

ehh ive got a weird problem (arent they all )
when i sent 1 texmessage/sms the otherside receives 2 messages (2 of the same )..
any ideas ?? what dit i do wrong ?? wrong configuration ??
plz help
greetz jason
This used to happen to me before upgrading to the AUK2 firmware, I think its to do with the phone losing the UTMS signel before comfermation that the message is sent and falling back to using the 2/2.5G network.
I could be wrong but thats what I seemed to notice when it was happening to me.
shift
Yeah I used to only see one sms go but mates told me they were getting 2.
The latest rom updates (xdx exec one in my case) solved the isuse for me too!
Hi, I had the same problem with Orange UK. I've updated to their latest ROM version and it all seems fine now.
sounds about right..
this forum is just great.. you can find every awnser of every question here ..
i simunlocked my T-mobile mda pro and put in my orange sim..
and guess what i couldnt send MMS (it uses UMTS i think ?)
an my girlfriend said that she gets al my smsses double ..
so i think when my T-mobile account activates (11-july )
the probs will go away. (keeps fingers crossed )
OR ....
is there an easy an safe way to change te umts settings so my mda pro will pick up the signal and stuff..
SAFE AND EASY is the key
greetz and thanx a lot.
Dutch subroute, me dutch to.
Do you use the dutch word "wel", like "test eens of hij het nu wel doet"
On all my versions from XDA-I to qtec9090 with several roms, eacht time I type "wel", the PDA will "autocorrect" this to the english verb "we'll"
The added quotes cuts the sms message in two.
on the bottomline of your screen you can see how many characters your message is and how many messages it will send.
I'm curious if this problem happens on your device as well.
yep same here..
LOL with the word 'wel' hehe i had the same problems.
gues only english spelling check available..
but xdaradar
do you also have the double sending sms problem
i have my t-mobile mda pro but its in use with an orange sim
enlighten me.
njet, never encountered that problem, not on my old XDA-I and not on my current qtec9090 with original ROM or tuma 1.3 ROM.
i'm using vodafone GPRS with six (!) inboxes without any problem
- email inbox for exchange mail
- three pop3 email accounts
- MMS inbox
- SMS inbox
they all sync and work arround the clock sending and receiving email
so I have no idea. did you try your simcard in an normal cellphone and what happens then?
hey xdaradar do you have a work around the we'll problem..
its kinda annoying
If this is what I think it is, ensure that you turn off Unicode support in the text options of POutlook.

i don't have the double sms thing, but turning off unicode doesn't help me with the autocorrect of wel to we'll
I used to have this problem with SPB pocket. When you hit the close button the messaging application terminates.
I was advised to add "tmail.exe" to the exclusion list in the spb pocket "Close button" properties.
okay, can I start crying now...?
I got the double SMS sent issue, but I also got the latest
T-Mobile ROM... (2.21.2.108)
PANIC!
Anyone got another idea...?
Sometimes friends even tell me they got the same messag 3 times!
costing a lot... hoping for a solution !
Do you use a task closer like HTC X, MagicButton etc?
V
SMS
I had the same problem. Found it was becuase I was closing the SMS app before receiving the SMS sent confirmation...
allrighty, so being inpatient, as caused by nature, is being punished ...
hmmz...
Thanks for your reply...
Just wondering how you found thát out...

O2 Notifications

Hi,
I have a t-mobile mda (touch dual) but have it unlocked with an O2 sim in. Every time I send a text or make a call I get this annoying pay and go balance sent to my phone. Is there any way I can stop the notification or atleast prevent it from making a noise? I have tried turning of all sounds but it doesnt work .
Thanks in advance for any help
you could try search for an O2 named .exe file in \Windows\ or a .lnk in \Windows\Start Up\ and delete (or rename to be safe) them.
but you could also Hard-Reset your device (Hold both call/hangup buttons while device on and press reset with stylus).
or even HardSPL your device and install a clean ROM
NOTE: Use PIM Backup before Hard Reset/ROM change, to save all your sms, email, contacts, etc. !!!
hi
thanks for the quick reply. I want to install niki project rom v2 but apparently it still has a few bugs that need to be ironed out. Do you knoow how I can hard reset? Im a bit of a newbie with the nike - just trying it out before I properly switch from my ancient tornado loll.
Also I know this is kind of off topic but is it just me or is the internet slower on the nike? Could it just be my radio rom?
Thanks again!
This is something that happens on all o2 pay as you go sims, its not the phone.
hi,
thanks for the reply
I know its an o2 thing but is there any way to stop the phone from alerting with a noise everytime I get one - I have tried going through all the notification settings and it still happens if I turn all notifications off - so I end up with no alert for calls / texts but an alert for credit! lol
i'd like to know this too, its pretty annoying!
I cant seem to find anyway to change it :s. On my tornado and prophet the message shows up doesnt make any noise but I cant find options for disabled that tone in the nike rom :s
i found this post that gets rid of the noise, ive yet to try it though
First download totalcmd (another file browser)
Create a blank wav file.. call it notify.wav (sometimes notify.wma)
Use totalcmd to replace the one in the windows directory with the one you created..
It works with some versions of wm5 though, so good luck..

doesnt work, tried that a year ago!
My advice would be to move to a different PAYG provider - T-Mob or Three would be my first choices Get a PAC code, take your number elsewhere
Failing that, ask O2 if they can switch it off?
Cheers,
Smiffy.

O2 have that as a feature phone them up and tell them you dont ant notifications
This is def the notify.wav. We can never get rid of the message from o2 as that is a network feature as previously mentioned.
Replace notify.wav with a blank wav sound. This will make it less annoying.

Need confirmation that sms text message was sent

My original german o2 branded ROM used to pop up a window to confirm that an sms text message was sent. I flashed a non-branded german stock ROM and now the phone does not give me any confirmation after I send a message.
I tried searching the forum because I could have sworn I read about this a few weeks ago, but I can't find anything.
I would rather avoid installing tweaking programs because I had problems with them (HD Tweak as well as AutoConfig) in the past.
Is there a registry entry I can change?
EDIT: For solution, see posts 4 and 5.

Thank you, but that is still different. With your suggestion I actually end up receiving an sms from "system administrator" saying that my message was sent. BUT that is a bit annoying because it ends up being a new sms message in my inbox that I then have to delete every time.
In my o2 ROM, I had that option turned off, and the phone always popped up a little message window that said "sms was sent". It would hide automatically, and I never had to erase anything from my inbox.

Thank you!!! Yes, that was it!
I did not install your cab, but I looked inside it and found the registry key needed.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings
Change "SMSNoSentMsg" value to 0 in order to get the confirmation!
I'm sure installing the cab, would have done the job, but I was still curious about what registry key it was.
Thanks again.
there's an option it hdtweak as well (it does the same registry work)
schap's advanced config can also turn this on/off
