"V2R O2 Active UI" message on bootup, how to get r - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Got an exec, installed in Basic Mode, and evey time I reboot, I get the above mesage.. any thoughts?

You need to remove three files from the "\Windows\Startup" folder.
Active.lnk - causing the message you mentioned
Connections.exe.lnk
BatteryNFO.lnk - if you don't want the O2 battery icon on the top bar. If you take out o2 battery Icon, you can re-activate the standard battery icon (in the bottom right corner) with the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power]
"ShowIcon"=dword:00000001
If set to "0", this icon is disabled - for use when the o2 one is active.

Cheers - trying all that now....
~EDIT: Worked an absolute treat, thanks!

Screen Rotation Icon - How to enable it ?

Is it possible to enable the screen rotation icon similar to the one on the Universal. I've tried the following:-
The setting is at 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\ROTATION'
The 'HideOrientationUI' DWORD value can be set to '1' to hide the icon or '0' to show the icon
For example, to hide the screen rotation icon
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\ROTATION\HideOrientationUI = 1
Any other ideas?
Cheers
so......did you do that on the Wizard ? Did it work ?
There's no "HideOrientationUI" value!
Made a little more progress, and now about 90% sorted, I've duplicated the \services\ScreenRotate registry settings from my Exec, initially the icon didn't appear. Then I noticed that there's two ScreenRotate_Service.dll files in the Windows directory on the Exec that do not exist on the Wizard. I've copied these across, and reset the unit, I now have the icon and it nearly works. It switches the screen from portrait to landscape, but does not switch back to portrait, I have to select the system\display option as normal to switch back.....
Hice work,
Please, keep us informed about the progres you make.
I do not know if this helps but I do this via SPB Pocket Plus. Add an icon from the 'System' drop down menu ... options are 'rotate left' and 'rotate right'.
Hope that this helps.

Hi, can you please attach the registry file with just those strings in that are required, and the DLLs so others can benefit from this please.
Did you get it working 100% in the end?
maybe someone who has had the magician can have a play around as well as there was the icon on the system tray as well

Getting the OS icon back on the Taskbar

I have the O2 Exec and wanted to get the battery icon back in the taskbar, but without going in to the Extended ROM and removing the o2 program that gets rid of it and do a Hard Reset.
Is there anyway (perhaps a registry editing) that allows this to work?

Hi,i think you must keep all theses files because if you have a little problem with your spv, Orange doesn't take guarantee on devices modified.
Most files already show what they do:
Extended_ROM\MP-Shortcut-MMS1-JAVA5XX-CV-VOICE-PVPLAYER-Orange-WWE-051208.CAB
Adds MMS, Java and PVPlayer
Extended_ROM\MP_Customization_OrangeUK_Prophet_060119.CAB
Orange customizations for the Prophet
Extended_ROM\MP_SmartDialing_enable_050915_signed.CAB
Enables smart dialing on the dial pad
Extended_ROM\PP_Certificate_OR_Jan23_Wizard.cab
Trusted certificats according to Orange
Extended_ROM\PP_DisconnectButton_8.CAB
When holding the red button it disconnects the GPRS connection
Extended_ROM\PP_EnableEdgeIcon_1_PRO.CAB
Enables Edge Icon, like the icon indicator on the htc wizard when you use symbols or caps
Extended_ROM\PP_GPRS_CSD_type.CAB
GPRS settings
Extended_ROM\PP_OrangeTSK_ORA_PRO_21001103.CAB
Orange theme settings, I think
Extended_ROM\PP_ORUK_pIE_Setting_21001107.CAB
Internet settings for Orange UK
Extended_ROM\PP_ORUK_RingTone.CAB
installes Orange ringtones
Extended_ROM\PT_RemoveHTCBatteryIcon_PRO.CAB
removes the battery from the system tray, not the taskbar!
Extended_ROM\PT_ScreenRotate_2.13_PRO_20501101.CAB
places the screen rotation icon on the system tray
EXEC:\Extended_ROM\cusTSK.exe \Windows\Orange2006.tsk
installes the Orange theme
These are a few I know...
If you don't want to use the extended ROM you can perform a hard reset. After that you have to follow the welcome wizard. after finnishing this it wil show you that it will start customizing your device, this is the point where you have to soft reset you Prophet. Now the Extended ROM won't be installed.
-=-=HARD RESET EREASES ALL DATA!!! So backup first!=-=-
How does one view andmodify the extended rom? I have used theabove method to have it not install on the system, is there a way however to install individual items from the ext rom?
You can use Total Commander to view the extenden ROM and install each file seperatly. Just type: "Extended_ROM" in the address bar.
When you want to edit the Extended ROM I advise you to use the search. There is enough information in the Wizard section about this.

Can you please get me This Theme with the side bar option which can be installed on WM-5 or WM-6 on hermes. I think it is in this file.
Extended_ROM\PP_OrangeTSK_ORA_PRO_21001103.CAB
I shall upload it now. Do you want any of the other cabs?
The side bar is not part of that cab (as far as I can tell)

I want the sidebar which I know is part of this file which is "...UK_BUILD_..._CLOCK.CAB"
It is always there in other ROM. I installed it but it is not for hermes so it is a bit different and also sometimes the sidebar works well sometimes not.
Thanks for the Quick response. Please also give me the latest "...OrangeTSK....CAB"

[SOLVED] How To remove annoying bar on today screen?

Hello everybody!
This is the first thread I open myself, and i'm kind of excited!
Okay, as you can see on the attached image,
on my today-screen, there is some kind of bar that indicates some kind of statuses.
How can I remove this?
It's my TyTN with the original HTC WM6 (due to the lack of a german 6.1..).
Any ideas?
// Sorry for the *.gif's quality, but I'm not used to match the filesize!
I believe you must remove the icons one by one and then the bar will disappear when they are all gone.
From the left:
1) Looks like MyMobiler. Tap that icon and there should be a way to turn off that icon
2) The Activesync connected icon. Go into Settings>Connections>USB to PC and check use advanced functionality and it should go away.
3 and 4) Battery and CommManager icons. Use Schap's advanced config to get rid of those.
this is called "Tray" search for remove Tray or something.
here is an app that will hide those Icons, a simple search of xda took me here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=248968
If this one won't work for you, there are more to choose from, just search "Hide Tray" or "Remove Tray"
Okay,
thanks!
Battery and CommManager have gone away!
But as I'm using WinXP, the advanced netwok features do not work for me!
Try searching now..
I'm sorry, but i thought the upper bar was called the tray; so i didn't try searching for tray.!
