For Wizard 100, just press and hold down com. manager button for 2-3 sec. It will be toggle from sound mode to silent mode. If you want to change to former mode just press and hold down again.
Does anyone try with wizard 200?

Works on any wizard as this is an built-in feature. Nice enhanchement IMHO

Here's another tip! Press and hold the power button and you can turn the Wizard completely off!
Amazing isn't it!

Here's another tip! Press and hold the power button and you can turn the Wizard completely off!

In my humble opinion, I do respect all the post. I did search in all forum before I post my comment. I read all the regulations before I do it.
In some place outside your world, it may be no user manual or quick smart guide or sometimes you forgot it.

I understand your enthusiasm because you thought you were sharing an "undocumented" feature. Do you not have a copy of the manual then?
Anyone who has bought a Wizard from a legitimate source should have access to the manual, either in the box or on the CD. Even if they haven't, they can get it from the manufacturer's web site. In my book, anyone who can't be bothered to RTFM, or even the "Idiots Guide", to get the best out of such an expensive device is just a time waster. Surely finding out what all the buttons do should be one of the first things to do? (The relevant bit is in "Getting Started" on Page 11).
You've only got to see the number of people in these forums who can't work out how to do a hard reset, or even turn a PPC phone on and off, to wonder how they managed to open the box in the first place :twisted:
But hey, I know your intentions were good - so thanks anyway!
FYI hard resetting wasn't so easy for me - as the manual doesn't explain the process completely. It doesn't say to keep the buttons held down for around 5 seconds. So don't be so quick to jump on someone who's only trying to help others.

I agree with the hard reset one, however after searching around here i found that the clear storage icon in settings did it for me, to save any fannying around with the buttons

My Magician is now protected inside a nice plastic case. I've managed to use MortButtons to make it mostly usable without opening the lid but...
I would like to have the system password protected. Does anyone know of a replacement password entry program please or, failing that, a SIP (keyboard) which can respond to the d-pad?

Unfortunately, after instaling the trial I've found that after maybe 5 turn off/ons I get a white screen and the only way out is a soft reset.
Maybe I need a different version of it.
try picture pasword you have to tap on the screen is a set secret loaction set by yourself,using finger or stylus

jaceuk: picture password would be no use to me unfortunately as I would still have to open the lid. People may be asking, how lazy can you be, not wanting to open the lid, but this plastic sleeve I'm using has one mother of a locking mechanism - I may need to file some of the plastic down to be honest so its less of a struggle.
mate i forgot to say picture password also has the option,to unlock the screen/device by button applicationusing the main ,four buttons
you can have 1 to 3 press of 1-4 buttons in any set paterrn you like
so that you can have a simple one button press or a code like tap of several buttons

Thanks very much for that mate - seems to work a treat! No need for any soft resets so far. Current version seems to allow up to 5 presses and also works with d-pad button presses!

Hi guys, just wondering. Can anyone tell me how i can get commmanager on a button like on my hermes. Obviously there is no dedicated button but i would like to use the voice dial button when held down instead or recording notes.
On my hermes the commanager is in the list but the trinity it isnt so i dont know how i can set this.

Yes, he would have found that, but then, when he tried the method suggested, he would have asked again anyway as it doesnt work! I copied the shortcut to the right place and selected it in buttons but the button now simply does nothing!

There is a program called iLauncher that will allow you to assign the ComManager to "quick launch" you can then assign the quick launch to a hardware button. I use the voicedial button.

Hi again Warny, people must be getting sick of us. lol
Mine worked ok. I set it to launch on holding the voice command button. I did what they said. copied the shortcut in.
Have you tested your shortcut directly buy checking that it launches from the program menu. At least that will tell us whether it is the shortcut not working or the button talking to the shortcut that is not.

Sorry but it sill doesnt work for me. Firstly the file I see is connmgr.exe is this the right file?
If so Ive tried several times and pressing the button does nothing

OK I fixed it the real file is in the windows\AppButtons folder not the windows\ dir on my spv.
Ok so here's the problem:
Whenever i want to go to my contact list, either by pressing the contact button, or going to my contact list via, Phone or "Contacts" on the start menu, it just flashes "contacts" at the top, doesn't display my contacts, and then just goes back to the today screen.
Is there a fix for this?

as soon as you push power&reset, you now press the camera&record buttons simultaneously. three lines will come up, and you use both camera & record buttons to navigate and toggle from no to yes to no... so at the end you'll get no/yes/yes (1st line/2nd line/3rd line)
the mail button is the 2nd button from the left (the one with the envelope icon).
all of these are in the wiki, which you're supposed to read before you attempt to upgrade. it appears you haven't done any reading yet, hehe...
Lool ok , now the mail button is the SECOND BUTTON BELOW THE SCREEN , with the Mailbox icon, next to Start up menu button on the left and the IE button on the right , to be more specific , the one with the set of 4 buttons . U can easily find it by look at the FRONT SIDE of the device . In Any case , you DID NOT find it , ill post you a Screenshot . cheersss

I got a backup sitting somewhere.
I'm not too fussed though that i've lost it, cause this device serves me alot more than just a games device.
(Jawbreaker is a time waster enough)
Re-Set button for HTC Mogul 6800, I have seen people with a program on there phone when they go to it its the exact program look of when you'r shutting down your computer, like could be an off button on my phone and it will soft-reset it instead of me taking out my pen and hitting the button? any help apreciated..

Today I was holding my phone when i was at work and i dont know what i preseed and a menu apeared. I couldnt even look at it real good couse my boss was comming towards me. it was like a service menu.
i klicked on accelerometed button (there was more buttons, accelerometer is the 2nd button i think) and then there was choosen 270 degrese option witch means left sided landscape and there was XYZ coordinates wich changed when i was moveing the phone and some other options.
i couldnt looked up the whole menu couse my boss was there and was asking me something just a second afther that. It must be a testing menue or something.
I remember i was pressing the front buttons but cant recall the combination and i think it was the end call and the OK buttons that i was pressing.
But there is a menu and i want to get to it again. does anyone know this combination od buttons. the menue is only in black and white, no icons no colors...

abouth the ><>><>< ofcorse it isnt true that was the combination on the t610 and k 700 k750 phones. on the windows mobiole this isnt the combination.
abouth the service menue yes it is true i just need to figure out the combination.
maybe its supposed to be hidden and with help from some bug it popped up I dont know. But it is there.
I saw some forums when i was searcinh the web to fond this menu that some folks have reporting thair phones have secret menues just for fun (scams, hoaxes) but i have seen it. Im so interested in looking on it and go trough the whole menu.

Nice, it works. And you can disable accelerometer, which I find is useless and drains battery thanks heaaps =)
UPDATE: Can also edit ILLUMINATION Settings!

This is handy to check if your screen is actually calibrated properly.
Doesnt work on my X1 either.
