Hey guys. I recently got a 8125 or MDA whatever you want to call it. Anyways I unlocked it so it could be used on my tmobile sim. I cant figure out why Agile wont connect anymore. It worked the day I installed it, but then I tried to set up my connections so I could use the internet and now I dont have any connections at all and agile just says, " all connections failed, switch to contactlist?"
Im guessing I need to set up the connections but I dont know what they need to be. Ive tried the GPRS setting over on the howardforums, but nothing seems to work. If someone could get me some insight it would be appricated. Ive searched both forums through the FAQs and Stickies but I cant figure it out. Hopefully someone here can help.
Thanks
Sean
come on guys! the answers got to be floating around here somewhere.
UPDATE: Well Agile will work when connected to WiFi but as soon as WiFi is shut off Agile bites the dust. Any ideas?
I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get this to work, I was able to get the Smartphone version to work on my Dash but I cannot seem to get the PPC version to connect on the Wing.
I have the software installed on the Wing and BBconnect for AS installed on the PC.
When AS is running I can see the connect button on the BB interface but I beleive that I need to dissable AS in order to generate an encryption key.
I remember there was a way to do it with the Dash but that was several months ago and I cannot remember how to do it.
This is where I am stuck, I've searched the web but haven't found the answer. Can anyone here help?
So does BB Connect not work on the Wing/Herald?
Any update on this?
No updates, I can't get it to work, it apears to be installed properly on the phone but I cannot make the initial connection between the computer and handset because you need to disable AS.
Well, I am on a T-Mo BIS and cant get it working. I had it working fine on the Dash. No luck on the Wing though. I am surprised that nobody is using BB Connect with a Wing.

I had a hard time with this too. turned out to be an issue with the ROM I was using... here's how it should work, if you have any issues I can help you on msn just add me pete(at)peteandsteph(dot)ca
1) browse the phone from the mac, it should discover a "network access point" when it browses the phone. make sure that's ticked, you can remove the other checkmark for use the phone as a modem.
2) click the bluetooth icon at the top right of your screen on the mac, scroll down to your phone, go over to "connect to network".
3) on the phone open internet connection sharing, choose bluetooth PAN as the method, then click connect.
4) surf the net from the mac.
*note, you can connect ICS before or after you connect to the phone from the Mac, it makes no difference.
thanks evader, but thats the opposite of what im looking for...i want to get internet on my phone using the internet from my mac, i do not have the data plan so i would like to make it work by having the bluetooth on my mac supply the internet...
im gunna install bootcamp and cuz im pretty sure i can get it to work the activesync because it will connect them for you...
I dont believe this works with the Touch, I know I got it to work with the Mogul
oh sorry, I used to do that with my treo 650 through missing sync. Might be worth looking into.
Ok so...I have been trying and trying and TRYING to use this wifi prog. But it is NOT working for me...What I have noticed is that when I use the Wifi prog. the Internet sharing prog. also comes up but its in the background...now the thing is when I go to internet sharing in "PC Connection"..."USB" appears to be what is being used..but my phone is NOT connected to my laptop..why is this happening?...More so...Is this how its suppose to go?
I was on 6.0 when I notcied this. i even downloaded all this "FIX" cabs...like "ICS FIX"...and "Phone as Modem"...and also "Internet Sharing"..and with those downloaded..it still doesnt work...
I have now upgraded to 6.1 and trid to redownload the Wifi program once again..and i am still having the same prob....It wont work...I saw the YouTube video that shows you how to set everything up...I have followed it and it doesnt work...but also..I noticed that you dont even have to do anything becuz everything is already set up for u...So I dont understand why it doesnt work...Can anyone shed some light as to what I am NOT doing right? Please..I would really like to use this prog...if only I can get it to work..
Are you talking about WMWiFiRouter application? Or just using the WiFi to connect to a wireless router to get to the internet that way?
Just read this in the manual .....
"When your MDA Compact IV is connected via ActiveSync and your PC is connected tothe Internet, you can browse the Internet, retrieve Outlook emails and also use or update some of the applications that require an Internet connection - and all of it straight from your phone (e.g. you can update Weather or QuickGPS, or use Google Maps)"
Anyone know how I do this - have been trying to figure it out ... but in vain
Just worked it out ....

Hi guys,
first off - sorry I didn't post my solution earlier - and thanks to jackwidu for pointing out the error of my ways
I connect to my pc using Activesync Version 4.5.0. When connected through activesync, I was unable to (and also unaware that I could) connect my diamond to the pc's internet connection. I recent read that this was possible in the user manual and at first despite trying all different settings, still failed to do so.
Eventually, as in many microsoft cases, I uninstalled activesync and reinstalled and hey presto, was able to access the internet through my pc
Not sure if this will work for everyone but interested to find out if it does ....
good luck guys
