Device: Qtek 9000 - straight from Dangaard with no operator personalisation.
Started out with the USB connection problem. Solved that according to descriptions in previous threads.
Flashing stopped due to it not being an O2 device.
Extracted files from the Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v113188.exe.
Tried to download /Uploads/Universal/MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, but exactly that file could not be downloaded (I can download the other files - ????). Found another file called MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe linked from this forum. It is from 16/3-2005 and illustrates an S100.
Flashing seems to go OK. PC and Qtek says 100% complete after the 3 stages.
Hard reset gives the option of 0 for Factory reset or X for reset
Hard reset results (either 0 or X) in dark screen saying "Serial", "v1.00" (Bootloader?). I have now flashed 4 times with the same results :x
Can the cause of my problems be the "MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe" from March? If so, can someone give a working link for the right version of the file - please
If not - please help - I am in deep troubles
Best Regards
Steen
You have to upgrade the Radio ROM separately. Look for posts in here or Universal Upgrading for "unbricking your Universal" or something to that effect.
I have been looking and searching, but I’m unable to sort out of the abundance of information what should be done in my situation.
The installation information is blank for all the 3 groups displayed under “From version”, so I guess the device is totally blank – under these circumstances I can’t see why the radio Radio ROM should be updated separately.

IT'S ALIVE
Installed the seperate Radio ROM on top of the previous installations. It has now booted and I'm setting it up.
Thank's for the advice BeyondtheTech
... it was worth alot, all though I in my panic could not se the light at the end of the tunnel

Hi all
I've got a problem... I haven't been able to send MMS for a couple of days. I haven't touched anything (!! ) but suddenly it doesn't work.
I get an error:
2509: Invalid originator data
after my Qtek 9100 have been trying to send for some time.
My settings are the same as ever, so...I haven't got any idea what-so-ever in regard to this, but I hope one of you guys might have a solution.
Wrong MMSC-URL causing error 2509: Invalid originator data
You have most probably wrong info set in the MMSC-URL of your device. On Wizard go to: Start->Messaging->Menu->MMS configuration->Servers->*servername with arrow*->Serveraddress or MMSC-URL
For instance, if this has http://mms/ and it should be http://mmsc/ you will get 2509: Invalid originator data when trying to send an MMS. Synching e-mail etc. will ofcourse work (GPRS)
Maybe this error occured after you running an .CAB for "automatic" GPRS/MMS configuration or if you did something manually but don't remember ? ;-)
If you want more help/tips - PM me Torben - I am norwegian (you danish) so I can help you out further if you have trouble with this device (i-mate K-JAM/Qtek 9100)
Knocksock

Hi there,
I'm a SE X1i for a week and I have a problem. I wanted to install TomTom 7v but it keeps asking for a
"Device ID".
-I have tried so many things that i can't even remember them. But i still couldn't get the Devicename.
One was telling me that i must install TomTom V7 on the X1 and after that i could find a file called ttnavigator.bif of so
that i can open in Word.
But i couln't get the file :S:S
-The other one told me to look it up in the propertys of the bluetooth device.
but there is nottin to look at because my pc is making connection by USB
-And the other one has made a application that can track my "Device ID".
this one gave a error so I still could not have a "Device ID"
So i was thinking maybe by flashing the ROM gives other programs more information about the "Device ID".
Then I noticed there are 2 ways for flashing your phone. one is by PC and the other way is by MicroSD.
Then I wanted to use my PC.
For this I used this post and the PDF Files that were attached. But i could nog find the application called EMMA.
Then on another post it told me that that can't be done because it's Tmobile branded
So now i'm at my final stage. So i tried to do it by SD card. then I came to this post:
*** Flash X1 without PC - Micro SD Method ***
0. Make sure x1 is hard-spl first
And now i just don't know what "hard-spl first" means :S:S
I'm a little bit f*cked up. I have tried so many things even look it up on youtube. But i didn't come far.
So i only need a Device ID. That's all ... now no one can tell me i didn't do my homework first
Can someone help me out plz
your help will be appreciated
Many Greetz
PeteyB
p.s sorry about my english
TomTom7 doesn't ask for Device ID, cracks and hacks for TomTom7 do.
This is a no Warez forum.
yeah, and tomtom always lets you download 1 region map for free.
Hi,
I've been using my HD2 for some weeks now and yesterday it out of a sudden started bursting error messages one after another.
First at startup i get:
- "A problem has occured with ConnectionSetupAuto.exe" Please tell Microsoft about this.... Don't Send/Send
I get similiar messages whenever I try opening my Messages:
- "A problem has occured with Messaging_Client.exe" and i can't access them.
Same goes on and on with Comms Manager etc..Tried a Soft Reset but it did not help.
My question is if something could be done before I go for a Hard Reset?
Searched the forum but didn't find such a topic so I post this one.
Thanks in advance.
Just disable the error reporting It doesn't actually solve the problem but i found out that whenever i get an error it still works.

Click to collapse
Where disable that?
Disabling the error reporting wouldn't have fixed it as most of the applications weren't running due to these err messages - couldn't open messages, comms manager, system settings etc...so i went for a hard reset and everything's fine now.
Thanks.
