Hi,
I am trying to unlock my T-Mobile Vario (UK) and i've downloaded the solution from Ricardo the 'lokiwiz - HTC Wizard Unlocker v0.2a' (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33796&highlight=vario)
But when I follow the steps he sets out in his post see below, it doesn't work?
1 - Unzip lokiwiz.zip to somewhere in your computer
2 - Copy EnableRapi.cab to your Wizard
3 - Execute the EnableRapi.cab in your phone. Wait for it to finish
4 - Guarantee that your phone is connected via ActiveSync with the computer
5 - Execute lokiwiz.bat and follow the instructions on your screen...
After step 2, I save the EnableRapi.cab file in one of my folders on the vario. I run the file and it unpacks itself but after that what do I do next? After unpacking itself I can't find an executable file to run? And when I run step 5 nothing happens?
Help?
strange, i've just done this a few minutes ago on my MDA Vario and it all worked.
Unpack Zipfile, copy the cab file to the Vario and run it thats all, then run the *.bat file from the computer withthe Vario connected via activesync. It should open in a command prompt window and give you 4 options.
U - Unlock Phone
L - Lock Phone
and two others that i cannot remember!!
hmmmmm...
In step 5 provideing that your phone is connected.
Excecute batch file.
Then remeber to type in U.
I just typed u first time, you need to place a full stop then hit return.
You will then see a list of executuion on your command screen. It will also drop a file on your desktop, keep this for future purposes.
Voila, your handset will then be unlocked.

hi have u tried that method, i have but i dont kno where am goin wrong
i have installed the cab file on my fone but when i run the bat file, n press u for unlock the window just shut downs and nothing happens? can u help me out here
Follow the instructions on the thread, it works perfectly. If you have a problem, post on that thread with details of exactly what you did and what went wrong - cutting and pasting would be good.
Run the batch file from a command line and that'll stop the window disappearing - click start, then "run", then type "CMD" (no quotes). Navigate to the right directory where you extracted the unlock stuff to, and run the batch file.

gonna tell u what i did
installed the the cab file on my phone
connect my phone to pc
double clicked on the bat file to run it, ms dos windows appears with three options , then i chose the option U for unlock, n it just closes the window...
am not very aware of using the ms dos windows help me out on this how do i ""Navigate to the right directory where you extracted the unlock stuff to, and run the batch file"".
i did as u told me to to run type cmd but dont know how to navigate to find the file
by typing c: and pressing enter you go to the root of your C drive. By typing d: you go to d drive etc. For getting into a directory type cd\directory name and press enter. You can navigate to the directory you unzipped the file in like that. Then type the file name (including the .bat) and press enter. The file should run then.

Try this : (probably been posted before...)
STEP 1: Save all your files/contacts. Save your storage and SD card files, just
in case.... STEP 2: We need a .BMP or .JPG image of size 320x240.You need only one image for JAM But TWO images for the PDA2k, They could be
same or different but of same size. STEP 3: Install comdlg32_901.exe in your PC.
This is the runtime for the image converter. Without it the Converter wont work.
STEP 4: Run nb_image_converter_859_418.exe, Load the .bmp/.jpg image you've
created or downloaded and save it as Splash2.nb for the JAM. FOR PDA2K, you need
to save the two files as Splash1.nb and Splash2.nb. STEP 5: Copy Splash2.nb file
to /windows/ on your JAM or PDA2K, From your PC, ACTIVESYNC > EXPLORE > MY
POCKET PC > WINDOWS ....incase of PDA2K copy both Splash1.nb and Splash2.nb.
STEP 6: Now copy MDA3_bootimage_changer2.CAB and paste it to your JAM or PDA2K
From your PC,ACTIVESYNC > EXPLORE and paste it and run it from your JAM or PDA2K
by tapping on it. From your JAM, START > PROGRAMS > FILE EXPLORER > MY DOCUMENTS
tap to install it. STEP 7: After running MDA3_bootimage_changer2.CAB, you will
find two files in root dir From your PC,ACTIVESYNC > EXPLORE > MY POCKET PC
Splash1.nb and Splash2.nb. Delete both the files, yeah I am sure you can delete
them safely...... STEP 8: Soft Reset your device. Your new splash screen will
display

Pretty simple really.
Connect your X1 to your pc via microsofts activesync. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/activesync45.mspx#download
Use the explore button on activesync and click on my windows mobile based device (once inside you can access the root of the phone or the storage card if you have one)
Drag and drop the required .cab to either the root of the storage card or a folder of your choice on the phone (for ease of access)
Go back to your X1 and use the file explorer to navigate to the .cab file, tap it and it will execute.
Follow the instructions given by the installation wizard.
Your application is now installed........enjoy

1. First of all, you want a good brush ROM。
2，ORANGE registered the orange_ppc_certs.cab and gps_reg.cab。
3，The computer to create a new folder, and place the procedures and GPS firmware upgrade。(file is HtcGpsUpdate and HtcGpsUpdate.exe and HtcGpsUpdate.s)
4。HtcGpsUpdate and HtcGpsUpdate.exe and HtcGpsUpdate.s
5.copy HtcGpsUpdate and HtcGpsUpdate.exe to you mobile（My equipment）
6。HtcGpsUpdate.s must be placed under WINDOWS
7。By HtcGpsUpdate.exe to upgrade your GPS

exe doesn't execute
copied all files on my mobile as per instructions, but when trying to execute the exe, nothing happens - can you pls confirm that the exe has been properly compiled ? thx in advance
