Autocomplete / Remembering passwords? - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi everyone,
I've got a problem: I have to Log-on on several websites for work. It takes a lot of time to type usernames and passwords everytime... Is it somehow possible to have IE "auto-complete" and remeber my passwords? (Just like on my Desktop at work?)

"not patience whatsoever...."

Still can't paste into password fields in WM5

Hi mates,
When I first got me PDA2k I was pretty dissapointed that I wasn't able to paste copied passwords into password fields of system applications as well on pocket IE websites.
Just a few days ago I got PDA Universal and was very unhappy to realize I can't do that still.
Is there any hack/fix to help with this problem?
Thank you.
It's is actually not meant to be possible. Copying and pasting a password means that you risk that someone recalls the last entry in your clipboard buffer, and discovers your password.
So Microsoft is again thinking for me. Thanks, but I can clean my buffer with copying couple of spaces afterwards in this case.
Anyone has tried to hack this restriction?

TyTN "forgets" personal certificate

I try to get my mails pushed to my TyTN. Thus I enabled the appropriate services on my Exchange 2003 SP2 server, set the user permissioning and so on. I generated an P12 cert with my CA and imported it using p12import.exe on my tytn. I also installed .cer for the domain and for the CA on the mobile device. Thus I was able to sync and push. Now I am facing the following issue:
After successfully syncronizing and pushing for some hours, I regularely get an 0x85030027. Checking my certificate I can see that my p12 is gone. After reimporting it using p12import, i can change the server settings the following way to force an "reinitialisation" of the link between user settings and cert: I delete the "m" in "blabla.dynaccess.com", go forward to login information - the password is gone then - go back to the server, add the "m", go forward adding the password. Sometimes I am than able to sync again, sometimes I get an 0x85010004. In the latter case I must delete the whole server setting - loosing all my mails - and have set it once again.
Dealing with this issue now for several days and beeing unable to find any description or solution in this forum and the web, I kindly ask for any idea which could be considered beeing helpful...
PS.: Sorry for my English - it is not my native tongue ;-)
I use CACert certificate for my email and have imported it using smartphoneaddcert utiltity from Micro$oft.
Copy your certificate into \Storage\root.cer (has to be named like this) and run SPAddCert.exe, hopefully that should work
thanks for the immediate answer. i already installed my root-certificate with no probs. The issue I have is related to the individual cert for the device, generated and signed by my ca, which is trusted by the tytn. This individual one disappears after some syncs?!
I don't experience the same problem ...
I think your method is ok (Jacco in DDSL.NL) have a nice tools to import personal certificate to device...
You may also look : http://www.httpsync.net
Cheers

Now I can describe the problem more precise: the personal certificate disappears after every soft reset?!
I have the exact same problem !!!!
When you do a soft reset the personal Certificate disappears.
I can reimport it directly, but I need to hook it up to a PC in order to validate the Certificate.
Is there no other way. This is really annoying when i'm on a trip, and I have to soft reset the device.
Does anyone know hpw this can be done differently.
Thanks
Micman

WPA Enterprise not working

At work we have a WPA network, And ever time i try to connect to it with my x1 it asks me for my username and password a few times then shows a error message saying i don't have a personal cert. Are network does not require a personal cert. We do have a signed cert from thawte. Are ssid is hidden and the network settings are "WPA, TKIP, PEAP"
same problem here too.
WPA (not WPA2), TKIP with PEAP. I do have the university certificate, but no personal one.
It just keeps asking the password and username, but never connects.
Pretty damn frustrating, as the network works perfectly on Mac, Windows, Linux and even iPhone. But not on Windows Mobile...??
.............................bump.............................
My company apparently had some odd version of WPA enterprise, so I had to use the following hack on my X1 (as well as any other WinMo phone) to get it to work:
1. Get PHMRegEdit: http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/
2. Add a key to the registry: \HKLM\Comm\EAP\Extension\25\ValidateServerCert= dword:00000000
3. Connect to your network. For mine, I used the settings: WPA, TKIP, hidden network checked, PEAP.
4. After connecting, enter user/pass. I left domain blank on mine.
After following these steps, it seems to work just fine for me, but YMMV.
Type PEAP into the search engine at the top of the forum and try one of the many answers.
The top one gives you an option to connect without checking for any certificates..
does that sound like the solution you need?
I keep repeating this, as do the moderators and the other more experienced members but the search is an incredibly useful feature on this site !
PLEASE SEARCH BEFORE POSTING
blackax in the 24hours since you first posted you could have tried millions of different searches, PEAP was the first one I tried.
EDIT : bah you gave them the answer from the first post!
@brikis98
Thank you for the post. But i have already tryed that with not it working :-(
@fards
I posted because i couldnt find the answer that worked for me. I should of made that more clear in my first post.
It seems that im not even getting to the Radius server. There is no error in the Log around the time i tryed to access WPA. grrrrr This is driveing me nuts
First, you got to figure out what kind of authentication method yr company used.
For me, my company use Cisco EAP-Fast and my only option is install Juniper's Odyssey Client for WM. It's not free but you can try it for 30 days and it works for me.
download "securew2" and follow the directions here: http://askageek.blogspot.com/2008/09/concordia-wireless-using-windows-mobile.html and you should be able to get WPA enterprise to work. I'm a med school student so we have a pretty encrypted system and the tech there didnt' know if anything would work, but I got this to work. Did a bunch of searches before I found something that worked. I've had no problem connecting since this. Hope this helps!

Well, it's really depends as I said before. This one only support the following:
EAP-TTLS
EAP-GTC
EAP-PEAP
EAP-SIM
My company only support EAP-FAST and only Odyssey can handle so many different protocols (all of the above and a lot more).

Remote Desktop: Saving multiple connections

Hello all,
I use the remote desktop on my HD2 to connect to different servers/PCs for clients that I support, but it appears that it only saves the last used connection details so I have to enter the 'computer' name and login details fresh each time I want to connect to another system...
The computer entry box appears like a combo box with the drop down arrow but I have not found a way of making it store multiple entries... I've searched the forums and elsewhere but have not found the same question asked (and therefore answered) so figure either most people only ever connect to the one system or I am missing something so blindingly obvious that no-one else has needed to ask so I must be an idiot...
Anyone know how to save multiple remote desktop connection entries? Thanks in advance for any pointers.
Rocky.

[Q] no imap-connection to private mailserver - help! [WP7]

hey mates,
got a little problem with extended mailconfiguration. I filled in all the required informations for the account (its a communigate pro-mailserver), tried the dns-name and the IP for the in- and outboxserver, no change.
tried with and without SSL, also no change.
I always get the error-code: 80004005
the connection via IMAP works on android and every iPhone, also on android-builds on that same HD2.
my googlemail and facebook-connect are working, I can also access the internet, so there's no connection-issue.
did I miss anything or why I couldnt connect to IMAP-mail?
push!
this is important. any ideas on that?
