Reset not working

Hi,
I can't hard reset my device???
It just operates as a soft reset, I hold in Comms Button / Voice button together and press reset with stylus and all I get is a reboot????

You have to press 3 buttons in addition to the reset button with the stylus.
The 3rd button is the power button.

You have the correct buttons. Just hold the Comm and Voice buttons. Place the stylus in the hole and release. Keep hold of the Comms and Voice button then you will get a message on the screen. Hit the send key. I.E green talk key.

Regarding the HARD RESET.
a) I unlocked my MDA Vario with the unlock software from here. After the Hard reset , is the telephone then again locked.
b) There is a new update from TMobile for the MDA Vario.If I update it , is the unlock tool still working.
c) What is a good backup program ?

Hard Reset

i have a 12 key dual and tried to reset by holding down the green, red button and reset buttons. it asks me to press enter but unlike the 16 key version, my keypad doesnt have an enter button. so what button do i press?

hi i have a i mate jaq asking password i try to reset but fail plz help me how to hard reset .....
here i read the procissor but fail to reset plz help
1) Turn Phone Off.
2) Press and hold the two soft Keys at the same time.
3) Turn the phone on (dont let go of the soft keys.
4) When the screen turns on, immediately release the soft keys.
5) A black screen should come up with white text stating to press 0 to reset device. Any other key to exit.
The key to the hard reset using the softkeys is to only press the end/power button for a short time. Then a black screen will come up. Press 0 and the phone will do a hard reset.

If it is the i-mate jam you need to hold in the power button & press the reset button using the stylus.
If you need more info do a search, we have loads of threads on this.

I believe for the i-mate Jaq the hard reset is as instructions below:
note: all three buttons are to be pressed at the same time
1)push stylus into soft reset hole + press FN key + press right soft key.
2) phone will restart to factory settings

erm ... izzit like tht hard reset?
1. Pull out the stylus
2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the RESET button with the stylus tip.
3. Release the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons when Hard Reset message appears, then press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the hard reset.

To do a hard reset.
Press both soft keys and insert stylus into soft reset button and press.
Release the soft reset button and keep pressing the soft keys.
When the "This operation will delete all your personal data, to manufacturer default" appears on screen.
Press Green call button to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.
The bootloader is invoked by pressing down the Power and Voicedialer buttons simultaneously, and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side. Continue pressing the two buttons for a few seconds after pressing and releasing the reset button until the bootloader screen appears.
but where is the SOFT RESET BUTTON? I'm from czech rep. thanks

Softresetbutton is the small hole on the left side of your device. On the top on the left side youve got voice command, under this the volume and down at the botton youve got the softresetbutton.
take the stylus to use it.
