Hi Guys,
I wonder if it would be possible to have the Fn + (numerical key) shortcuts like on our desktop. That would really be convenient and greatly enhance the stylus free usage of the device.
What will we need to do this? Suggestions O' great minds?

Hi,
I am wondering if its possible to hack one of the key combination launchers.
On my ultimate 8502, if I press Fn and sym key, it launches wireless manager, but I want it to launch something else instead.
Does anybody know how to do this? Any advice will be much appreciated!

Or try to install HButton (from this website, or http://hbutton.pavlicek.org )
You'll be able, i think, to do whatever you want (an more )
thank you for your responses,
i tried hbutton and i liked it but just for curiousities sake does anyone no how to do it by hand through registry edits?
I know the G2 has the three hardware keyboard shortcuts, I was wondering if theres any way to make one of the(specifically the left one) another 'alt' button... seems like they put the alt button in a weird spot(to me at least, compared to older phones), and the shortcut button is always getting pressed instead of the alt button.
I looked through the menus to set the shortcut, but no 'alt' button there.. Any help would be appreciated.
Running eViL's MT4G rom, if that matters.
I don't think so. I would love to have this as well, though.
I don't like how there are configurable keys, but they can only be configured to launch apps. I would rather them be the [, ], or < key because I use those in some of my account passwords.
There is a way to remap the keyboard, so I would think would be a rather simple remap. You'll need to be rooted and all that. Check on the development subforum, it's there somewhere.
I have installed the CleanROM version 2 and included the Enable On-Screen Softkeys option. I would like to disable at minimum the hard key home button without disabling the softkey home button. The hard key home button is especially annoying in s-note or OneNote as I inadvertently activated it by my palm. I've tried to find an Xposed module or a key number/file to mod but haven't had much luck with what I have found in the forums. Can anyone give me a little help in the right direction?
I was able to figure out a way to use the convenience key as a mute key.
But you need a tinker a bit (no root).
If anyone is interested I can write up a quick tutorial
Please do!
The options for the convenience key are limited to shortcuts that are (mostly) available from the keyboard
