Bluetake i-PHONO mini BT Stereo Headphones - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Saw these BT headphones/headset on PocketPCThoughts today and they look ideal for using with the Universal...
http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=44479
I know that currently the Universal doesn't support A2DP, what do people think the chances are of it supporting it in the furture?
Would I still be able to use them for Mono music and voice calls at the moment?
Thanks for any advice![/url]

How do I listen to Mp3's from my bluetooth headset?

Dear All,
I've been searching to find a solution to this for 2 weeks now, there are some posts i have read whole forum almost, nothing seems to work.
I think it has nothing to do with what kind of bluetooth headset you have, there should be a program which should transfer audio from sound card of the Mda to the integrated phone inside this device.
Could someone describe how can we achieve this? It is very convenient to listen to audiobooks (if you think why would someone need mono listening)
I'm also willing to pay for this help.
Greetings,
Devrim
my config: MDA (Dutch) wMobileSE 2.06 4.21.1088 with Jabra BT250
i tried to install widcomm, but it doesn't work.
Unfortunately we were the recipients of a beautiful piece of hardware that was released with a "non standard" bluetooth implementation. I have read peoples claims that this is possible, but, I am yet to experience a working solution.

Hi!
Widcomm does not support bluetooth headset at the moment although the headset can be paired with your PPC ie. no sound recieved from your headset.
One way out is to listen MP3 from your PC/laptop which is possible through your headset, however, you'll have to get thre right dongle.
As for listening MP3 from my O2 XDA II through my iPHONO bluetooth headphone I had Widcomm + the High Quality Audio Profile installed. The sound was crappy with occasional split second interruption to the sound playback.
So much so for the current bluetooth technology for listening to MP3 playback on my O2 XDA II
how did you install widcomm and deactivated ms stack?
plus, iphono thingie has no microphone, hence i'll have to have two bluetooth headsets... not convenient...
thanks,
RE
Well, if you make a search for Widcomm there're many threads on this subject.
Read all of them and you'll be able to find your answers
Even the new Broadcom stack Build 3500 for XDA IIs does not support the mp3 playback on BT headsets.
The unofficial upgrade which adds hi quality BT headset profile, I still doubt it can do it coz the Audio Gateway preference is not listed. Damn

I had install the Widcomm BT stack, it is not working. There was no sound in the bt earpiece (mine is HBH-65) although it was paired with xdaII. The worst is it mess up the function for normal phone talking. I can listern the voice from caller but they cannot listern to my voice during phone call.
the xdaII can't get back to normal until a hard reset. Would you please tell me how to get the earpiece work ?
Hi,
the unofficial upgrade is working, I just got a pair of HP headphones, it's awesome. Just be sure your headphones support A2DP, regular headsets won't do it.

Nice one Mp3's over blue tooth. Any chance of a simple walk through on how to do it and the files needed?
cheers

try search for this little software call BTAudio to turn on/off the audio from mp3 to your headset

Can Bluetooth v 1.1 be upgraded to v 1.2 on XDA II

Can anyone tell me if the XDA II can be upgraded regarding the version of Bluetooth ie. spec states ver 1.1 can this be upgraded to ver 1.2 which allows for the use of stereo bluetooth headsets etc.
Thanks
Mike Simmonds
i think bluetooth revision and profiles supported are 2 different things
you may want to look into bluetooth stacks insted of revisions because i think thats hardware related
I guess from this then, my original question should now be,"Can I use/upgrade my XDA II with bluetooth stereo headset (rated bluetooth v1.2)"
Thanks for the reply

AFAIK, Bluetooth v1.2 is backward compatible with v1.1. Besides the same basic technical stuff, the 1.2 adds Advance Frequency Hopping so it can connect better in a crowded wireless radio area and faster connection between Bluetooth devices... And the v1.2 compatible Bluetooth devices can still connect until 100 metres.
So basically yes, you can use a device/headset rated Bluetooth v1.2 with your XDA.
I once tested a v1.2 Bluetooth headset from Billionton to connect with an XDA II Mini, I can still communicate with the Mini and me are roughly 80 metres apart, although the sound quality was horrendous, it's mostly because of the headset itself, not the connection fault.
Just to be sure, try pairing it first if you want to buy a v1.2 Bluetooth headset with your XDA.
Can I assume also, that I would be able to stream stereo audio via the XDA II to the stereo bluetooth headset, & would a headset mic also function?
Thanks for your reply

As far as I understand, both Himalaya and Blue Angel are equipped with Bluetooth version 1.1.
I've done some research on this, since I wanted to connect stereo headsets to my MDA III just like you apparently. The 1.2 standard is downwards compatible and apparently it will work to connect a 1.2 "stereo" headset to your device. BUT you will not be able to enjoy stereo.
Headset and device can connect, but since your device uses 1.1, it won't be able to broadcast stereo.
(I haven't tried all this, but it's what I found out during extensive research).
Apparently, Bluetooth 1.2 requires a new chip. So unfortunately it isn't that easy to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2.
the ms bluetooth stack and also the vidcomm i believe dont support A2DP
which is required to get stereo audio to a headset
you can use this though

Which Stereo Bluetooth Headset to buy?

Hi,
I want to buy Stereo Bluetooth Headset. I have read not all of them are compatible with all phones. I am considering getting either Samsung SBH100, Plantronics Pulsar 590a or Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970. I want to know if anyone has used these with Magician and what their experience is? My priority is for HBH-DS970 as I have read on this forum some users have been able to get the LCD to display contact name using JETware Mobile Software rather then number.
Which other decent Stereo Headset are compatible with Magician?
Thanks!
I use motorola HT820 and sound great

I have the iTech R35 and it works brilliantly with the Magician (provided you use the bluetooth stack update in the other thread).
It doesn't have a LCD screen, but you can use whatever earphones you like as it has a 3.5" jack.
i'm use HT820 and great sound and working all buttons

BLUETOOTH - T-Mobile Vario II

Hi guys
I know this has probably been asked before and I have searched the forum and read many threads - some of them get very technical!
Basically, what I want to know is, is it possible to have the other sounds the MDA Vario II makes output on bluetooth?
I'm a biker and have a BT equipped Helmet (Nolan N-102). I use TomTom Navigator 6, Windows Media Player and sometimes listen to the radio via 3GPRS internet connection. I'd love to be able to hear all this audio in addition to the mobile phone!
I'm sorry if this is rather 'old' for many of you!
JC
If your helmet has stereo bluetooth (A2DP) than it does so by default.
There is somewhere a tread here about the option to also output all sounds to a mono bluetooth headset. I didn't try that myself.
Look at this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=278778
I use it and it works great.
Thanks guys
Still struggling with this one but hopefully crack it someday!
Just had a reply from Nolan, the manufacturer of my bluetooth helmet:
'As per your request, please note that our N-Com system does not support the A2DP profile for listening to music via Bluetooth.'
I guess this maybe a reason why I can't get BT comms from the Vario except for phone
If you read this post

It will tel you how to get all sounds to your Bluetooth headset. I use it to listen to music in mono on my headset while walking. I use the Mort Script. It's the bomb.

A2DP With non stereo headset??????????

I recently got rid of the Motorola Q and no matter which bluetooth I used I had music playback over my headset. I used this with my Jawbone and my Jabra JX10 all the time. Is there anyway to enable that feature on the Verizon xv6800?
It's not A2DP, it just routes audio over bluetooth headset profile. Try something like this:
http://teksoftco.com/index.php?section=bluemusic
A2DP only works on an A2DP compatible headset.
Thank you so much with your help I found this http://www.freewareppc.com/communication/bluetoothaudio.shtml
Works perfect and its free....

That is the same program I used before purchasing my BT8010 w/ A2DP. It was handy and used MANY times while travelling.
My BT8010 will not play music when paired with my 8925 and the other program mentioned here works but it crackles and is scratchy at times. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
