I found that SIM Manager of the Everex E900 is much better than the one in i-mate devices. It can read SMSs from the SIM card which is missing in all i-mte devices... I was able to get the exe file "see attached file", but it is not working, can some body help?
Thanks a lot in advance...
Best regards,,,
I dunno why it doesn't run, but here is an app that will let you see the sms's on the SIM.

Is there a way of reading the contacts from the sim card on the Tytyn, without using sim manager and uploading into the phone.
I have recently upgraded from a KJam, and found this facility very useful, it would automatically read the contacts from the sim, and show a little sim card icon next to each name.
Furthermore, there was also another very useful option, which would allow you to create an additional sim contact. This feature only seems to be available on the Vodafone V1605 rom, but as I have previously mentioned in another post I have changed the rom to the Imate JasJam, and for the time being at least have no way of reinstalling the original Vodafone rom.
Maybe there is a third party piece of software, or a registry trick, any info would be greatfully appreciated.

I call'd customer service and they tolld-me that Qtek Roms don't assume that function. I also try'd the *123# and don't work.
Even *123# works on my jj with imate rom.

What are the radio versions that you are using?
Radio version is 1.13.00
The problem is generated by your SIM card, it's mailbox is full. Try to put the SIM card in another phone and clear inbox and then try again.

In my humble opinion this thing is not at all related to the mailbox getting full AFAIK this thing is controlled by the network operater .
Yes, you're right, but if your version of windows doesn't read and delete those sms (like it happened to me) you're cost control messages will stack up on your sim and nobody will delete them, unless you put your card into a phone and delete them.
I've had ROM 1.30.77 from Q-tek and had that problem, after upgrading to AKU 3.2 i can delete them from sim card and everything it's OK.
i get a 'command not supported' message from my phone.
Try wakko's method to delete them.
I understand that with Qtek 9100 you cannot copy ALL contact to the SIM card all in once, but there is a way to get round that and get it done. Now, I have the same problem with my Qtek 9600 and I really want to copy ALL contact details to my SIM card without the need of copying one contact at a time.
BTW, I have no problem copying all contact details from my computer to the PPC via Active Sync.
Can anyone out there be kind enough to guide me through this, if this can be done at all?
Thanks.
Check out the SIM Manager utility. It has a "contacts to SIM" menu option...
Keep in mind that SIMs have limited space. Depending on how many contacts you have, you may not be able to get them all loaded...

Hey guys,
I need some help, just got the HTC Touch and I'm using a 3G sim card with it. Problem is, when I go to contacts, I can only see up to 200+ contacts in my SIM Card. I've downloaded asukal SIM Manager and it still showed around 200+ contacts. Now I know I have more than this, I plugged my SIM card into another phone and it showed my contacts no problem so my contacts aren't lost.
If it helps, the SIM Manager says in SIM information;
Total phonebook size: 250
Phone book entries: 206
etc..
And the funny thing is, when I create a new contact it will be saved in the SIM Card contacts.
Anybody can help?
Thanks in advance
Can anybody help? I like this phone but I'll sell it if I can't solve this problem.
The SIM CARD has a limit for contacts: up to 250.
But maybe, there is a limitation from viewing it.
Have you tried the "Advanced Config" application? You can download it from www.pocketpcfreeware.mobi .
It a great program to manage the cellphone.
Hello guys, I'm new to X1.
I put in my old SIM card and when I click Contacts, no numbers there. Tried pulling out the card and insert back in, no luck.
I went into SIM manager, it loads for 10 seconds then an error message pops up saying Undetermined Error... what gives?
Please help, I have some important numbers that I doubt I can get them back.
Bump... Please help guys... I tried google and search but no answers...
Hi there,
Having the exact same problem.
All the more strange, since I put my card in another X1 and there everything works fine.
I think this is a bug in the SIM manager version.
Did not find any solution, but I came up with this workaround:
I downloaded SIm Manager v1.4, copied the cab file to the X1 and installeded it. Your X1 SIM Manager is then replaced.
Start the SIm Manager and you will find it opens without the error.
Choose copy from SIM to phone and you can actually see your contacts.
I then copied all my contacts to the phone and I have now full acces.
In fact, it is more convenient, since managing the contacts in the phones memory gives you more possibilities, adding exttra info, using longer names, etc.
Hope this helps.
Ben
speaking of sim manager, does anyone know why it wont let me delete my contact on the sim card?
When I try pulling up peoples names when typing messages etc, I will always get two of each, because they are also stored on the sim card with "name /m, or/w" or whatever.
I try to do select all...delete, but no such luck
