After two weeks of having my Exec running in Basic Mode, I decided to try out Corporate mode as I had read that it would be faster. I hard reset and immediately noticed a massive speed difference. However, after I soft reset the device after entering Mobile web and wap settings for O2, the MMS account disappeared- all the settings were there in MMS configuration but the account was nowhere to be seen. Has anybody else encountered this or do people not bother with MMS? I think in the meantime, until I can find a solution I will have to go back to Basic mode which is defintely slower
Very grateful for any help,
Fin
This is the best news I have heard, I never use MMS, in Australia if your MMS get delivered your really lucky so I never use it.
I am going to change to corporate O2 Rom.
Well at least some good came out of me swearing at my phone for an hour!

Probably related to the WM5 'feature' where settings changes are lost if you soft reset within a few minutes of making the change.
I had exactly the same problem in corporate mode.
So I reinstalled ArcSoft MMS Composer, and then followed the same procedure required for installing MMS on Himalaya WM5.0.
I've detailed the relevant instructions after re-installing the MMS Composer:
1. Soft-reset
2. After this , go the messaging application. click on Inbox you should see a new account there called MMS.
If not click on Menu>Tools>New Account
Create a dummy email account (it doesn't matter what info you fill in, just make it up) but at the Account information select MMS as the account type and click next.
Then finish going through the account creation, again for the server information making anything up.
3. Once that is completed clock on Menu>MMS Configuration then click the servers tab.
I suspect, however, that re-installing the composer may not be nessesary, as it may be just the registry settings for the MMS composer which were lost, so I've attached the registry entry I think might get it back (MMS-part.reg) - when followed by the steps above and also the full registry entry (MMS.reg)...but this is just a thought - re-installing the program worked for me
Which of the CAB files on the Extended Rom will reinstall the Arcsoft MMS Composer. I am in the same boat, have hard reset to Coporate Mode but MMS is not setup. In the Messages section, I have MMS Configuration option under Menu, and the registry settings all look OK, but I can't seem to find the MMS Composer software anywhere on the EXEC.
TIA

Hello,
I have this weird problem.
Hardresetted my device to make sure only the nice programs get installed. Installed the Orange.cab too, to make sure all the settings for orange netherlands will be used.
GPRS works good and so on.
Only problem is that i dont see the mms inbox icon in Messaging. Weird thing is that when i go to mms settings in the inbox all settings are shown as they suppose to be.
Anyone know whats up ?
I installed only the following cab's from ext rom :
Default_cdl_wwe_version.cab
Default_ie_view.sa.cab
Default_Imate_PPC_SA_V5.5.03.cab
I dont see info about the other cabs that need to be installed to make mms work, but i could be wrong. Any help is welcome !
Thanks !
Jeroen
This happened to me as well. I'm not sure I want to do another hard reset right now to try to get it back though.
I got my device running nice and fast now, even skype works perfect with nearly no delay so i dont want to hard reset again either.
But i would like to use mms lol
It's good to hear im not the only one with this issue.
By default (after a hard reset), there is no MMS account configured in messaging. Are you sure you have populated your provider's server info and set it as default (in mms configuration -> servers tab)? I believe after that was completed, that is when MMS showed up as an acct. in messaging.

Yes, it is configured there. I even created a new server, and then deleted the old one. Still no MMS account folders.
Same here.. all mms settings are configured, but still no mms inbox..
Hmm...couple more things to check (whether or not these affect the creation of an MMS acct. in messaging):
- Make MMS server connect via "the WAP network".
- Provide a valid WAP address/port in your proxy settings for WAP access.
(These are addt'l things that I had setup and I am getting MMS in my messaging app)
I think you need the cab file: Default_CAB-shortcut-CDL-08Sep05.CAB...that has the MMS app in it...
i flashed a new rom today for the first time.. Windows Mobile 6 Professional Tri-Syndicate Edition by Antc and i have two questions.
One is when i try to compose new mms ,the windows ppc hour glass (colored circle) icon keeps going around like it is searching but never stops and i have to reset my phone. is there settings or something i have to alter to be able to send mms again.
Also , I am having a prob configuring my email... you know how on an official tmobile rom they have the set-up email cab and you can just click download settings for email and just select which ones you have and they will automatically add... how can i do this on this rom .. i dont know all the exact settings for my emails (aol and one for my college) is there a way to get the settings to automatically configure
Please help .. thanks very much!
use this cab it sets all the settings for mms that you need.
go to the mms settings and in the severs make tmobile mms the default
if you cant find the mms settings easily you may have the new mms composer so fallow these instructions
after you install make a new mms message and choose custom and go to menu> options > MMS options> servers> And make t-moble mms to default > ok> cancel message> and you are done
this will fix your mms problem
thanks a whole lot i mgonna try this now.. but i just realized my internet isnt workig eihter do you know the correct settings for the gprs?
Edit: nevermind after searching some more i found my answer just hoping the mms thing will work now
I've searched all over but can't see a reference to this, so I suspect I'm missing something basic - sorry if that's the case!
I have an (ex) O2 XDA Mini S that has been unlocked and is running on Orange UK. This worked OK, but was slow and had all the O2 settings, customisation etc.
I followed the steps to hard reset and then stop any customisation and that worked fine. The unit now performs (and looks IMO) much better. I have set the Orange GPRS and MMS settings and (GPRS anyway) works fine.
Everything is synced up etc, but the one thing that is missing is an MMS "Account" - i.e. if I go into Messaging and choose "Switch Accounts", there is no MMS option (I get Hotmail, Outlook and Text Messages). I do have the MMS configuration option which I have gone through and set up.
I went to the ROM and ran the SmartDialing_enable_0915_signed and CAB-Shortcut-MMS1-JAVA5XX-VOICE-O2-31Oct05 cab files. This seems to have worked because I get the quick dialling and the Midlet manager has appeared, but still no MMS composer.
I don't want to run the full O2 customisation as I have no interest in running this with O2 and would have to change all the settings anyway.
Can anyone help with info or pointers as to what I may have missed to get the MMS option please?
TIA

Thanks - do you mean this thread?
If so then that seems to relate to settings, which is not my issue - I have the settings and have configured the MMS server, but can't see the MMS "account" in the messaging menu.
try to search MMS_Composer_Z.cab file on forum....i downloaded it from xda-developers but i cannot remember where...
Ive never used MMS before now but i have 2 in my inbox and when i select to download them nothing seems to happen.
Somebody suggested requesting O2 to send the settings down but that doesnt seem to have worked.
Any suggestions?

Whereabouts are you from? (TIP:: edit your profile to show the country and mobile carrier so we know )
Best thing to do is to install the HTC connection setup wizard (attached) , soft reset your device and if it doesnt load automatically then go into settings and load it manually. It will set up the device with the correct settings for MMS and GPRS so you can get the messages downloaded.
When were the messages sent? If your device isnt set to retrieve automatically the validity period may have expired!
I've spent quite a few hours scouring Google to try to find an answer to this and not a thing has worked. I cannot send nor receive any kind of MMS message. I've tried installing all different types of Arcsoft .cab's as well as changing the registry, etc. The closest I've gotten is a message saying "Message will download next time you connect and receive e-mail"
My phone was able to do this before when I first bought it (used) but has not been able to since performing a hard reset. Obviously the previous owner had something going on which I did not. Is there anyone who can point me in the direction to a solution?
The "other" is that the MusicID program does not work. It likewise worked prior to the hard reset, so obviously these two are missing something similar.
Please let me know and thanks for any insight =)
Can you get online at all with internet explorer? It could be that you have lost your network connection settings. What network are you with, in what country - someone may be able to point you in the right direction.
connecting with I.E. is no problem. I'm with Verizon and I'm in the U.S.
Have you set the MMS server settings? Open Text messages (or email should work), select 'Menu' (right soft key), select 'MMS Options', choose the 'Servers' tab and then select the MMS profile you want and choose 'set as default'.
I'm not sure if this setting is part of ArcSoft MMS (I have this installed), but my MMS problems were resolved by doing this.
If you need to know how to set up the GPRS profile for MMS you should be able to find how to do that via Google.
Good luck.
the only GPRS profile i'm finding is for nokia and sony ericson phones. i found the menu you were talking about but i'm not exactly sure what to do with it.
i don't have a data plan so i'm not exactly sure what to set as my internet connection.
sorry for being such a noob but i do not have much knowledge about phones.
