Hi there. I was frustrated for using two SIM cards in my 2020. Then my collegue found local provider that can add up to 10 different operators to 1 SIM card. Now I can change the operator just by clicking the SIM tool kit menu and pick up the operator I want to use from the menu. Works pretty fine, but with the Finnish operator Radiolinja I need to manually input the SMS message center number when I am in Finland. Otherwise it's a major relief for those who have more than 1 SIM cards and travel a lot. Check out the russian provider here: http://multisim.by.ru/
They are also selling the needed hardware and software if you want to program your own SIM card.
I have a TYTN II on the Orange UK network (Pay Monthly). The phone is unlocked and works with a O2 (Pay as you GO) SIM on the network.
I recently bought the following Dual SIM Adaptor :-
http://www.m-99.co.uk/Mobile_Phone_Twin_SIM_Adapters/mobile_phone_twin_sim_adapters.html
I cut both my SIMS and tested them on a Nokia. The SIMS work fine in the Nokia, I can select SIM 1 or SIM 2.
On plugging the adaptor into my TYTN, the O2 network works fine.
On switching to the Orange UK network the phone shows signal, but after approx 15 seconds the network shows no signal.
When trying to access the SIM Manager during this 15 seconds it does state that the SIM is initialising.
The Adaptor works fine on a Nokia but not a TYTN II. Any Ideas ??
Perhaps it requires different hardware? On the site you have to choose the model ..
Bought one from another site and same problem.
I chose the TYTN adaptor.
I'll try a different ROM.

Maybe you have to turn the radio off before switching from one sim to another.
Have you set it to GSM network type ?
Go to: Settings>Phone>Band (you will need a working sim installed to enter phone options)
I had a bunch of dual sims that worked great on WM PDAs, sold um all.
Your problem sounds like the Orange SIM is not connecting well.
One trick that can work well is to place the Dual sim adaptor (SIMs loaded in adaptor) on a flat surface PCB side down & apply even preassure over the top with your thumb (Give it a good hard squash)
This normally cures it.
Another option is to swap the sim positions & see if Orange works in the O2 slot (this will prove sim terminal connection problem)
Thanks Mister B,
Went to Settings>Phone>Band and switched from Auto to GSM. All works fine.
Cheers
DUAL SIM Not working on Treo 750 WM 6.1 GSM phone
The Dual SIM Adapter boasts of not needing to switch off to switch between SIMS. But it shows only default SIM 1 and not the second SIM. My Treo 750 is a unlocked WM 6.1 GSM type. Can anyone help pls?
No 1: follow tip in post #5
No 2: remove sim adaptor from phone place it on a flat hard surface with the PCB board facing down & roll your thumb over the back of it with reasonable pressure & then retry it in your device.
Some of these adaptors need a lot of patience to get working due to poor contacts between sim cards & adaptor.
You can also swap position of your 2 SIMs which will help fault diagnose the issue.

In samsung'sweb site says that first sim slot supports 3G cdma and 3G UMTS..WHat does it mean? Umts is supported network in europe?
network info
Found G9009D's chinese manual at http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/c...inaTelecom_China_Kitkat_Chi_Rev1.0_140514.pdf
I dont know chinese but on page# 13 it shows that SIM1 needs micro-UIM and SIM2 needs micro-SIM.
I thought I could use but slots with GSM-SIM but I was wrong. Now I know that if I want to use Slot1 then I need to get UIM card (if my carrier has CDMA network and can give me UIM card) or else I cannot use Slot1 (only Slot2 with any GSM SIM).
Although my seller claims that both slots are unlocked I cannot test Slot1 until I can get a UIM card (to confirm if it is not network-locked on China telecom).
@rankoradza
Why did you go back and delete all of your posts in this thread? That just devalues the thread for anyone who has similar questions and bothers to make a search.

I unlocked my s5 sm-g9009d
Here is the solution
1- In the dial pad, enter "* # 0011 #", will enter ServiceMode interface (if no response, just wait a while and try again)
2- Click on the top right corner of the three-point menu, press Click "Back", then click on menu, select "Key Input", enter a capital Q, point "OK", and then point to the menu, select "Key Input", enter "000000", click "OK".
3- patiently waiting for 5-10 seconds, will enter the "Main Menu" menu, click "[2] UE SETTINGS & INFO", "[1] SETTING", "[1] PROTOCOL", "[3] CDMA" , "[9] CTC SIM LOCK", "[1] SIM Lock", "[2] Disable SIM Lock is"
4- when you see the future "SIM Lock is Disabled", turn off the phone, insert your UIM in slot one.
It should work now

Hey there
I have the following situation and basically this is the reason why I've bought a dual SIM
SIM 1 - Vodafone Italy
SIM 2 - Yallo Switzerland
SIM 1 is used ONLY for receiving phone calls and I want to have it 24/7
SIM 2 is more a working SIM, I am using it for phone and internet
Evening I want to switch off SIM 2, don't want to be bothered with calls nor I care for internet.
First problem when I try to "disable" SIM 2 I got the message that the SIM is set as primary (whatever it means) so I cannot disable it (why ????????????)
Trying to findo out what is the reason I have discovered that if I select data on SIM 1, then I can switch off SIM 2 (whaaaaat ?????)
Seems that I am not free to do it
The other thing is ... to "disable" the SIM, I have to go to Settings | SIM and mobile network click on SIM 2 and disable
This is not what you want to do just before going to sleep, I expected something very easy to switch off SIM 1 or 2 based on needs
How can I solve the problem ?
Cheers
Steve
Hello,
I bought X Compact (F5321), I inserted a nano sim card (let's call it "A") and it was working fine
So then I tried to insert a (cut down to nano) standard sim (let's call it "B") and it cannot register to the network (though it's being recognized).
This same sim card (B) is working perfectly on a lumia, an iphone 4s and a couple of other smartphones (wiko sunny, and energy lite).
The contract of A and B is both on bmobile Japan, but B is on a voice-only contract (no internet option).
I installed a custom rom and rooted the phone following this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...oot-automatic-repack-stock-kernel-dm-t3301605
I then added some other bands working for Japan (all the bands correctly showing in the "Configuration" screen) and I was able to select [JAPAN BAND] without any error whatsoever, and still no signal at all..
Any idea why card B isn't working?
Many thanks in advance for any suggestion
