I am new to xda phone...
pls explain me… Is it possible to upgrade this phone...
ROM VERSSION: 1.66.00WWE
ROMDATE: 02/02/04
Radio version: 1.08.00
Protocol version: 1337.18
Ext ROM version 1.66.234
...pls tell me how to upgrade this phone if possible...
I have usb cable.... only...

sure it is you can upgrade it to
rom 1.72
or 2003SE translated from chinese to english but have some issues i believe
or 2005 which also have some issues

Xda IIi Rom

Hello All ,
Just bought a new Xda IIi (Rom ver 1.10.00 WWE Rom Date 12/24/04 , Radio version 1.00.00 , Protocol Version 1337.39 ExtRom version 1.10.124 WWE) Can someone Please tell me if it is possible to copy this exactly as it is on my Xda II running WM5 , I know it's like down-grading but i'd like to try it . . . any help would be appreciated. Thanx

xdaII and xdaIIi cant use the same rom
people may think they are alike because they look alike but they are
far from the device device

I'm a newbie in here and I'm in Indonesia, My O2 Xda mini S cannot detect and even cannot connected to Wifi in here. I have the new version rom and I really dont know what can I do to fix this problem, please anyone I need help

Provide more information. What ROM are you using? IPL/SPL? What happens when you try to connect exactly?

rom ver : 2.21.4.1 wme
radio : 02.47.11
ipl/SPL : 2.21
protocol ver : 4.1.13.24
extended rom : 2.21.4.101
It cannot detect any wifi connection, I'm also using nokia e90, but it working very well trully dont know can you give me some solution and also I.m new using a Ppc

O2 XDA Mini II

Hi Folks,
Great site.
I live in Queensland, Australia and speak English.
Just bought myself a second hand O2 XDA Mini II off Ebay. Great phone/pda with bluetooth gps setup.
Have a few questions seeing as I am very new to this and am hoping some of you guys can possibly help so I dont stuff up my phone.
What is my phone?....I see terms like symbian etc.....not sure what mine is
This is the current setup -
Windows Mobile 2003 SE
ROM version: 1.12.00 WWE (what does WWE stand for?)
ROM Date: 05/28/05
Radio Version: 1.12.00 (what is this for?)
Protocol Version: 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.12.920 WWE (what is this for?)
I have it setup with Activesync to my laptop - both bluetooth and usb.
I have been looking at the threads and have seen that there are various upgrades that can be made.
What can I upgrade and what will the upgrades improve?
What software do you recommend for this device?
Dont forget I am a noob so advice and help is needed ...

um.. I really don't know much. but I can give you my magician currently roms and spec so you can have an idea on what's others are using.
I have mine with
ROM version: 1.13.00WWE
ROM Date: 08/18/05
Radio version: 1.13.00
Protocol version: 1337.43
With big storage you can have your storage drive bigger (for mine, it's now 26mb).
For instructions of upgrade, check them out in the Magician Upgrade forum.

Yours is not symbian they are ,nokia,palm etc, are symbian along with a few more, its a Windows Mobile 2003SE(second edition) phone
ROM version: 1.12.00 WWE (what does WWE stand for?) World Wide English
Radio Version: 1.12.00 (what is this for?) It Is the GSM Rom for the Phone part of your PDA
ExtROM version: 1.12.920 WWE (what is this for?)
Extended rom is where your device installs Provider Specific Software such as settings for MMS and internet and programs for when you hard reset the device

It all depends on what you want to use the device for, so that is up to you

Need help for O2 XDA II Mini

I have a O2 XDA II Mini with following specifications:
ROM version: 1.11.00 WWE
ROM date: 03/14/2005
Radio Version: 1.12.00
Protocol version: 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.11.922 WWE
Can you please suggest me with some useful upgrades(ROM or some sort of skins) to get a better look and feel.

tthe 2.03 TX Rom... be careful with that - apparently you can't flash back from it...
