O2 XDA Mini II - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi Folks,
Great site.
I live in Queensland, Australia and speak English.
Just bought myself a second hand O2 XDA Mini II off Ebay. Great phone/pda with bluetooth gps setup.
Have a few questions seeing as I am very new to this and am hoping some of you guys can possibly help so I dont stuff up my phone.
What is my phone?....I see terms like symbian etc.....not sure what mine is
This is the current setup -
Windows Mobile 2003 SE
ROM version: 1.12.00 WWE (what does WWE stand for?)
ROM Date: 05/28/05
Radio Version: 1.12.00 (what is this for?)
Protocol Version: 1337.42
ExtROM version: 1.12.920 WWE (what is this for?)
I have it setup with Activesync to my laptop - both bluetooth and usb.
I have been looking at the threads and have seen that there are various upgrades that can be made.
What can I upgrade and what will the upgrades improve?
What software do you recommend for this device?
Dont forget I am a noob so advice and help is needed ...
cheers

How to upgrade ROM?

Hi all. I'm new to this world here, but have been using my Himalaya (or o2 as we know it here in Indonesia) for the past half year now, and am loving it.
The only drop of rain in my otherwise sunny day of using my o2 is that my bluetooth refuses to receive files from other mobile phones, most noticeably from Nokia phones. I understand I can upgrade the ROM of the phone, so that the bluetooth works better. Under my Device Information, the below is listed:
ROM version: 1.66.00WWE
ROM date: 02/20/04
Radio version: 1.08.00
Protocol version: 1337.18
ExtROM version: 1.66.165
I'm also using a Win XP computer, and want to learn how to upgrade my ROM. Please help me with this...
Andy

upgrading my rom

hi ive just got my xda2i and ive been told i might be able to upgrade my rom to make it faster ,any ideas ,
this is my device information,
rom version: 1.10.00 wwe
rom date: 12/24/04
radio version: 1.00.00

i'd be grateful for any information ,
if thats the o2 one it looks up to date.
There is a new firmware coming out, possibly next week for o2 devices which will include the blackberry client, and also a fix for the battery life.

Having problem changing from ROM Ver: 3.19.01 GER to English

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and would appreciate any help.
I got an O2 XDA (Wallaby...I'm learning ) from a friend, but its in German which I don't understand. How do I change it to an updated English ROM Version without killing it. Do I need to do a Radio Stack upgrade too? What will happen to the OS? Here are its details if it helps. Any suggestions and pointers would be great.
Microsoft Pocket PC version 3.0.12039 (Build 11178)
ROM Version: 3.19.01 GER
Radio Version: 4.21.00
CPU: ARM SA1110
Model: PW10A1
You do not have to upgrade the RadioStack as well. ROM is enough.
Safest way is using SD-Card for Upgrading.
Take a look at the wiki, how to flash your device.....
