The last owner put a version off
Windows mobile version 5.0 OS 05.5.1.1700 on this Qtek 2020.
Befor he did this there was a other version on it.
Can i change it back?

Which french or english ROM DOES have for sure that update? It's never specified in the name of the ROM file!

The word "Latest" is not very explaining. Do you know any version number that has AKU2 for sure?
I've tried the famous Tornado_AD2P update (without knowing if i have AKU2), i see now Wireless Stereo as it should when i pait with my headphone but i can't make it route the audio to the headset.

Well, if you mean the ROM installed on your PDA then there is no need for guessing. Go to Settings->System->About. The build is in the form nnnnn.x.y.z. The "x.y.z" indicates AKU level.
Right now I am running the WM5 emulator and it shows this in the About screen:
Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ Version 5.0
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0)
So the emulator is running AKU 2.0.
Mobile-review.com has a nice review of WM5 AKU levels.

It was simple, but if don't know, it's not that obvious.
Nonetheless, i now know that i have AKU2 in my Prophet. I can now search why i can't activate AD2P and other can on their units.

1. i have read that xda2i cant be upgrated to windows 2005 is it true?
2.what is the latest version for xda2i and where i can downloaded it.
3. i have seen many people using radio verion 1.18,1.19 but i am using 1.00 can i upgrade my ROM version of my xda2i and which is the best radio version for xda2i keeping in mind signal reception,battery,voice clarity,bluetooth speed etc

Here ya go....
1) Correct. You can't upgrade your 2i to WM5.
2) I would recommend downloading one of pug's ROMs. You can find them here: ftp://xda:[email protected]/Alpine/O2_Roms_Camera_Fixed_Bug/
If you hate the o2 active stuff, then download the one marked "o2stripped" (I would recommend this one). If you like the o2 active stuff, then download the other.
3) The latest Radio ROM available for the 2i is version 1.04. If you upgrade your ROM using one of pug's rom, then your radio will automatically be updated to version 1.04.

Got a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with.
I was updating my rom and it all went wrong. When I turn my xda2i on now I get the normal setup then its goes to a black screen with serial written on it (or usb if it is in the cradle), and apart from that it does nothing.
My laptop no longer recorgnises the device so I can't restore the old rom or restart the process????
Can anyone help please?

You're in what is called "Bootloader". You're OK. You can do one of two things:
1) Simply re-attempt to "reflash your ROM" with one of the ROMs you downloaded.
2) Reflash your ROM with a ROM update provided your manufacturer. I couldn't get my device to update with one of pug's rom (it go stuck around 18%) so I had to reflash my Alpine with an original ROM released from a manufacturer.

I know no one really uses this device anymore.. In fact, neither do I! haha,, but I want to dust off my SMT5600 and load it up with whatever is the latest ROM is. Whether it be official or custom, I just want to try it and see if it fixes certain usability issues i've heard it does.

the latest are sda 2.6.x and some maybe czech 2.7.x. if you use feeler rom, replace keybddr.dll

I've done the whole WM5 deal and I didn't like it. too buggy and much slower...
I'm looking for the most recent WM2003 rom. Hopefully the one where I can voicedial while keylocked and where bluetooth headset will trigger the headset profile.
