Magician ROM 1.12 from clubimate Arabic,French,Portugese,WWE

This new rom 1.12 files was found on club imate FTP.

Notice that these maybe newer than QTEK 1.12 ROM
iMate 1.12 ROM has Radio 1.12.1 whereas
QTEK 1.12 ROM has Radio 1.12.0
Im not sure whats the difference in the performance tho.. maybe someone can point it out.. thanks

damn! just installed the qtek rom yesterday! o well :roll:

And I JUST installed (and hacked to bid storage) the qTek rom yesterday.

I did not install the Qtek ROM..
I knew i-mate would eventually update their website with the new one...
so why the rush...

Yes I tested it today and it worked

Did anybody find a german version ? I have some trouble with my "bluetooth-hardware" (sometimes "not installed" ) and want to change to a hopefully better version...

ROM builds with radio versions 1.05.00 and 1.10.00 all include audio enhancements for voice calls. Radio build 1.11.00 includes improved support for Cell Broadcast and SIM Toolkit applications. With radio 1.12.10 we have improved the settings for the echo cancellation to remove the phenomenon of "double talk", where a person calling a JAM customer will experience a minor echo if the other person is also talking at the same time.
All new builds contain the improved camera driver and fix for "No Bluetooth Hardware" bug. ROM builds 1.11.00 also includes a new MMS client for improved network compatability and an upgrade to the Operating System. 1.12.00 ROM builds should also reduce the "Cannot Connect" problem experienced by some customers.

TO BIG STORAGE owners
You can upgrade just a Radio stack, if you extract update files, delete all .nbf files EXCEPT radio.nbf. Run update, restart. Done

will upgrading only the radio stack leave any bigstorage patches intact?

Just run MaUpgradeUt.exe (patched already) to update the ROM.

Yes you can. Read on http://buzzdev.net more about. But the upgrade to WM5 is quiet difficult to a newbie. Read carefuly about DOC_Tools,RAMdisk,Memory organisation etc. While in 2003(se)ROM image is everything already prepared,in WM5 you need to install some features additionaly. I am ready to help you with upgrade. Just ask.

I'm about to do the same thing. I have two units to try it on. One is 1.66wwe, 1.10 radio and the other 1.72wwe and 1.14 radio. Should I use one of these units for WM2005 over the other or does it matter?

You can use the Radio stack with WM5. But if you've got a Wallaby device(is in your profile Rustyrake),that is no WM5 ROM released. 1.66wwe and 1.72wwe are WM2003 ROMs. The latest ROM release of WM5 is 1.60c(and its RAMdisk variations). Most recommended radio for this ROM is 1.08.
I need to warn of few problems in this upgrade:
1. Activesync must be at least v4.0 and for USB connection is needed SP2(for XP).
2. I have still problems with radio and phone. (But other people didn't complain).
3. The speed of this system is a little bit lower than 2003(se).
4. Some of the software must be in latest version for WM5 support.
5. IA Camera interface is a history(pity). It is available only built-in Microsoft camera interface without any adjustments and functions.

i checked in the about and it says windows mobile verion 5.0 OS 5.1.1700 (build 14354.0.1.1)

Based from what you posted, your AKU version is 1.1 found at the very end of the "BUILD" numbers. I think it is time for you to upgrade soon or you will be left alone in the stone age. LOL

One clarification though, you can't upgrade just the AKU version. You have to upgrade the entire ROM. Unless you know how to dissect the package ROMs.
The AKU version is the last 2 digits. So it is definitely time for you to upgrade.
I think O2 only released an updated ROM with only AKU2 support the last time I tried it. All I can remember was it has radio 1.11.00 (which sucks here in New Jersey) so I used Orange's Radio 1.13.00 which is newer and definitely better. O2's official release has no A2DP stereo support, so I did not use this ROM.
I already tried all the ROMs that are available here in this forum, if you want speed and stability with the latest AKU 3.2 and A2DP support. Try JWright's Modified ROM. You won't be disappointed.

If you are just going to upgrade the radio then you won't loose your installed applications. But always perform a backup to be safe.
I don't know how he manage to add the new features. You will have to ask him for that.

No JWright's ROM installer is designed to be directly installed on an IMate Universal. That is why I posted the instructions on how to upgrade, so you have to extract the files from the .exe file provided by JWright, then use the MaUpgradeNOID Tool to install it in a non IMate device.
My instructions from the above link is complete. 3 files you have to know (.nbf files), are listed there. Taking one off the list will retain whatever ROM version you currently have on your device.

Latest ROM???

I know no one really uses this device anymore.. In fact, neither do I! haha,, but I want to dust off my SMT5600 and load it up with whatever is the latest ROM is. Whether it be official or custom, I just want to try it and see if it fixes certain usability issues i've heard it does.
Any info would be great!

the latest are sda 2.6.x and some maybe czech 2.7.x. if you use feeler rom, replace keybddr.dll

I've done the whole WM5 deal and I didn't like it. too buggy and much slower...
I'm looking for the most recent WM2003 rom. Hopefully the one where I can voicedial while keylocked and where bluetooth headset will trigger the headset profile.

I want A2DP support but....

Guys, I have read thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263745 which provides great info on how to enable stereo Bluetooth support and therefore A2DP but I still have a novice question which I am sure can be answered easily.
Step 1 says: 'The ROM should be updated as latest AKU2 ROM'
Well, my Orange SPV M600 (S200, 818Pro etc) has build OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0) which I assume means AKU 2.0 so, am I meeting the requirement of step 1?
Secondly, if I need to upgrade, what do I upgrade to?
Other info which may help.
Rom version 2.10.1.22 WWE (date 2/16/2006)
Radio version 02.07.20
I need to be careful with what I do here as my M600 is used at work and has company specific software loaded to enable push email and associated security wrappers.

it is wokring for me succesfully and i also use my mobile for business purpose.

Thanks for the reply but I have already downloaded the files and updated the registry entries but it made no difference.
I thought that I needed to have a later RadioRom to enable Bluetooth stereo support and A2DP but I don't want to try it unnecessarily as it means removing my works installation because Active sync over USB is disabled. I don't know another way of upgrading the RadioRom without Active sync.
