Hi all,
where is stored "My documents"?
Can I configure it like my WinXP?
I'd like to use it for all my data (home dir) and "move the path" in to the SD....
Go to Programs --> File Explorer. Select My Documents from the upper left drop down menu or from the screen.

I can’t save video to the "storage card" it doesn't give me that option anymore – only options are “main memory” or “network”
I’ve seen the previous post

but this didn’t help - how do I disable network folder option. then re-enable it after.”
I don’t have Pocket LAN installed or any LAN *.* but I recently installed “Resco Explorer”
Any guidance is appreciated.
This is my premiere post on xda.
I don't seem to figure out how to access my network shares through the HD2 filemanager.
Everytime I try to go to Filemanager\Menu\GoTo\Open path\New Path ... and state something like: \\Server\Share and hit Go. I end up with a stopsign.
"It's not possible to connect" I'm then presented with 2 choices.. "Settings" and "Close"
Heading towards settings brings me to "connections", and I probably have something not quite right there.
I have two sections. My PhoneCompany Internet Settings and "My worknetwork". However I'm only able to play with Modem, VPN or Proxies there. Can't really figure out what to do here.
Anyone with the key to success willing to share this divine knowledge?
I can connect to a share using a UNC path over WIFI with no problem. I don't use the inbuilt file manager, I'm using Total Commander.
I shared a folder on my desktop PC (Windows 7) and the put the path (\\PC-Name\Share-Name\), username and password into the LAN settings in TC and it connected right away.
I use it quite a bit to transfer files to/from PC and phone.
Give TC a go. Linky
You don't need Total Commander at all.
To get File manager to connect to shares over Wifi, do this...
Go to the Settings tab, then touch MENU, All Settings
Touch CONNECTIONS
Touch CONNECTIONS
Touch the ADVANCED tab
Touch SELECT NETWORKS
You will see two separate settings, one for "Programs that connect automatically to the Internet" and one for "Programs that connect automatically to a private network".
You will probably see the top one is set up to connect to your service provider's GPRS (in my case it says "Virgin GPRS").
The bottom one is probaby set to "My Work Network". The problem is, "My Work Network" isn't set up to do anything, it's a dummy setting.
So change it to be the same as the top one, again in my case "Virgin GPRS".
Then touch OK, OK, OK, X
Now you can go into File Explorer and connect to your file shares on your PC, using...
MENU, Go To, Open Path, New Path...
Type in \\servername\sharename
and unless your security is set up wrong, it should connect.
Hope this works for everyone.
Incidentally, when you try to connect, you may find it first connects to your service provider, but then it uses the Wifi. Don't panic!

Well... not much to say...
In "My Network" click menu -> new folder, and the computers on your network that have active fileshares will be visible, press on the +, the shares will appear like on the capture below, select the one you want, press the left "Share" softkey, and you'll get a window to enter the username/password, and choose if you want automatic reconnection. Fill that up, and then you'll see your network drives in "My network", that you can browse like the local filesystem.

What ROM are you using?
We're talking about within Resco explorer here...

I just answered above, "My network" is within Resco Explorer, that the OP was asking about.

May be you need to map the drives address. Is it served our static? If served then I would think you would have to assign a static add.
Does anyone know how to fix this it pisses me off so bad i took it to a tmobile guy he fixed it like in a couple min he said he use to hack phones but then i reset the phone and the error came back and the guy dont work there anymore to help me

My sister updated her phone and I did think and it worked but I have a question, do you have to make a new APN every single time or does it stay saved

It stays saved, but a reboot or network change will revert you to the default apn. She will need to run the shortcut app and change it back to the new APN she created when that happens, but she won't need to make a new one.
???
Once it expands, select the last entry. What exactly does your last entry say that you select?

Hi- would love for this to work... I'm on CRC5 ... am I screwed? the "add" button appears grayed out... so I can't seem to add a new APN to choose... have I messed up somehow?
This does not work because the APN settings have been disabled and no such way to add a new one and if you did there is no way to select it because all the functions in the APN settings have been disabled like I said before, only way to change them after OREO is to get root and then you can edit the system telephony.db file to add DUN.
