I am able to connect to PC but I am unable to receive any data.
when I see the status of my bluetooth link, it is actively receiving data.
Can anybody help me in this.
Is there any specific format of char that O2 understands, becoz I am havbing problems with printing characters on Screen as well.
below is my code listing, so if anyone can guide me a solution, that will be gr8.

Does anyone have the code to invoke the send and recive command from the messaging. ie force the GPRS to re-connect. I have set the auto download emails every 1 minute but this is not reliable. I need to call re-connect as and when I send data.
XDA2 and XDA2i UK O2 connections.
Any help pointer etc appreciated.
would this work? i have lots of problems getting gprs to re-connect after its dis-connected sometimes. It really bugs me because this is the only phone ive ever had that can't always connect to gprs when its blatently available!
Hi,
I' am trying to connect two Smartphones over GPRS. At first I used TAPI to establish a connection between the two devices, but I don't want to use a CSD-connection. Then I took a look at the Connection Manager from EVC++, but I think with the Connecttion Manager you are not able to connect the two phones by there phonenumbers, like with modems or tapi.
Is it even possible to do a data call over GPRS? Or is GPRS just used to connect to the internet?
thx foobar
I had an audiovox rtm8000 and I put my home phone number into the gprs connection settings. I was able to log in with terminal services client. I don't know how it could be done using a normal phone hardware.
Thanx, for your post. Could you describe a little more what you did? Which APIs did you use?
I did not do it myself. It was a tool that came with the audiovox phone card. It only works with that card.
Hi...
i am a newbie in this PPC...
i want to use my PPC to remote access my server using RAS, is it possible?
if possible, is there any guidance on how to configure it?
Thx in advance...
btw, I'm using O2 mini.

thanks...
I'll try it...
//www.pocketlance.com/ is not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a method/tools so that I can work directly on my ppc to access RAS. Pocketlance on the other hand using PPC as a modem for our PC/Notebook to access RAS.
anyway, thank you for your help.
is there anybody can point me out how to do RAS directly on PPC?
umm... first of all, your phone service provider must allow Data transmission.
Then you need to set Settings->CSD Line Type to 9600 bps(v.110)... at least for me i need to do so cuz v.32 doesn't work with mine.
Then add your network in Settings->Connection to dial to your RAS server with the cellular line modem. Connect it using the new network connection. It should work.
If you get an error message saying there's no modem or the modem isn't responding in less than 1 second after trying to connect, most probably your line hasn't activated for data transmission.
That's all... my provider cut my Data communication so i can't really test it out again.
vmirage, thank you...
I'll try it A.S.A.P
Hi,
got a little problem, here in germany we've got flatrates for calls to the landline (<- hope this is correct). And there it is possible to to connect to an internetprovider wich uses such a number. At my SonyEricsson K610i it wasn't a problem to set it the way that everytime I opened the internet explorer it connected automaticaly with this number insted of the gprs connection.
Now my question is, could I set it the same way on my Thyphoon with WM06? I tried to creat a dial-up connection but I don't know which connection he choose, because there is only the connected symbol in at the taskbar!
Could someone help me?
Tanks a lot!
Hi,
in my car VW Passat + RNS510 + bluetooth premium
This basically is a cellphone included in the car and uses the rSAP protocol to get control of my cell phone (HTC touch pro 2 WM 6.5).
So far so good.
It pairs fine.
shutdown the phone connection and take full control of the SIM card
BUT
The cell phone also loose the data connection. No more internet access on the phone. No mails, no exchange server access....
This is not only anoying for the internet and mails. It is also blocking any WM application to get data access. In other words, I'm using an application called MOBBYWAY (http://www.mobbyway.com) to get the speed cam, radars and other troubles on the road informations. Now the application is useless
Does anyone knows if there is a workaround to get back the data without removing bluetooth connection?
???
HELP ...
Which brand is your phone and do you have data plan
Yes, I have un unlimited data plan for the cell phone. (Orange)
As I wrote, it is an HTC touch pro 2
bump.
would like to know the answer to this question too...

Hi,
it seems no one has informations on this.
Just to make some additional data in the game.
The car is able to provide the internet connection through the 3G connection of my data plan.
So far so good.
My laptop can use the internet connection of my simcard.
But this support exclusively support Bluetooth Dial-Up Networking profile.
The touch pro2 is not able to get the internet access through this path. No support of the Dial-Up networking.
who has any idea?
The equipment is working as follow
1/ Touch Pro2 contains the sim card with my Orange cell phone account + data plan
2/ The car contains a so called VW bluetooth premium 2. Which is in fact a cell phone
3/ The bluetooth premium pack takes control of the SIM card and shutdown the TP2 phone access as well as the data plan
4/ The bluetooth premium pack act as a phone AND provide my data access via bluetooth Dial-Up Networking
5/ Any device that support this profile is able to get access to internet. This is the case of my laptop
BUT I WANT TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET WITH MY TP 2 cellphone.
This one is not able to do so. The current reason seems to be the TP2 does not support bluetooth DUN access for getting connected to internet....
HELP
I am not sure of the protocols of each of the tech's however if it is not conflicting etc. wouldn't a simple reg edit change the shutting down of the phone dataplan etc???? Is there another way to add another protocol that will work? with the TP2? I know lil naive but I am still learning all this stuff and my brain is aboutr fried. not sure if configuring a MS SBS 2003 for the first time is harder or all of these things you have to remember LOL
I have the same problem with the Galaxy S II.
When i'm connected in RSAP with my VW's car data connection don't work, and so all the app cannot access at internet.
RSAP (Remote Sim Access Protocol) move the line from the phone to the car's nav kit (RNS510).
