Please help! lost my programs folder in windows folder

I deleted mywindows/ programs folder...
I wanted to delete 1 bad folder in it, and it removed completely...
All my shortcuts and programs(links) are gone, I can't start any.
Is there a trash where I can pick it out?
Also setting back my rom (that I made luckely 1 week ago) don't work.
It says it can't find program A or needs to --register?
via XDA rom image tools
Please help, I'm in pain!

Which Ext Rom Files can I delete

I have an Orange SPV5000 and have recently unlocked the Ext Rom using Buzz's Tool (Cheers Buzz)
but now I am not sure what files I ought to keep and which are just the normal pile of crap that get installed by the company.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Look into the Config.txt & Autoconfig.txt and see what files are there. This are the files that is needed. The rest is not needed.
BUT, it case you need to sell the phone, you need to restore them all just to be fair to your next customer.
So just copy out everything into your harddisk before you delete, just in case you also delete wrongly, especially during the sleepy nights.

Prog to work on read / hidden only files

Guys
Really basic software problem .
I want to work on / delete/ rename a couple of files that are in the windows dir of wm2003.
each time I go to them, I am told that they are read only or may be in use by other programmes so all choices are blanked out .
Wont even let me re name them.
What programme can I use to let me play with these ?
Astro1
yeah i totally agree with you and cannot find a software to do so. there's a lot of useless files (mostly images that i do not need!) in my 'windows' directory which if i delete or remove will free up a lot of memory.
I think Total Commander can edit/overwrite file properties including system, hidden, read only and so on...
but not if they are in the rom
and if are only way is to make a new rom from scratch
and even then making a rom which dont fill out all the rom space
dont give any memory to storage or apps or anything

You need to ask the people that developed the games. There's hundreds of games available, and they all store scores etc. in whatever way they want. This question has nothing to do with the Leo other than, I assume, you have one.
The two games are experiment13 and teeter.
any help where these savegame files are would be appreciated

I'll have a play and see if I can find anything for you. No promises though
Okay - 1 down.
The teeter game save is in \Windows\userdata.dat
You can simply use file explorer (or resco explorer, total commander, or similar) to copy the file. Just make sure you close teeter before you either backup or restore the file.
I'll have a look at experiment13 now.
Experiment13 game saves are in a file located at:
\Program Files\Ganondolf\Experiment13\user.sav
If you have it installed on your storage card, it will be at:
\Storage Card\Program Files\Ganondolf\Experiment13\user.sav
Just copy the 2 save files from the 2 games and keep them somewhere safe. You can then copy them back at a later date, if you need to.
Good luck
wow, thanks for your help, I will investigate and report back

what I would be grateful of is a savegame file for experiment13, could someone share theirs as I was upto world 8/9 and the save game file must have re-installed a blank one over the older one after I reinstalled the game.
i've just found an older savegame file for experiment13, have used that many thanks
Here is a savegame with all GOLDS, save for one...

File deletion problem

Sorry to bug everyone with another problem - I don't really have all that many and love my HD2 to bits!
Due to stupidity, I had my phone connected to my PC running XP, and in File Explorer accidentally deleted some folders in My Documents in the main memory (not the storage card).
I tried to recover them, but no luck. They are not in the PC's Recycle Bin, and they are not in any Recycle Bin on the phone. I have no idea where they are and would love to recover them.
Surely when you use your PC to delete files from your phone they are not purged without going somewhere??
If so, then am I out of luck?
And if so, would someone be kind enough to tell me what folders I ought to have in My Documents in my main memory?
I still have:
My Pictures
My POI
My Wallpapers
Templates
but I know I did delete some other folders. Any ideas what should be there? I have installed in my main memory the programs in the attached jpg.
Sorry to bother you all, but I'm annoyed with myself and would love some help.
Thanks,
David

Hi, ever try this one?
"Mobiletimes RestoreUs" (somekind of recovery software for WinMo, just google it - sorry as a new user I'm not allowed to post outside links )
Said it could recover files from both memory card and main memory as well.
I don't wanna think I'll need this software later, but who knows
Hope it can help, let me know the result!!
Cheers,
Jekul
you could always hard reset. It will bring the proper folders back to My Documents though what is lost will stay lost.
I'm guessing if any programs are pointed to the My Documents area, they will create a folder if needed.
My Documents (phone):
1. Business
2. Data
3. My Music
4. My Pictures
5. My Ringtones
6. My Videos
7. My Wallpapers
8. Personal
9. SwypeData
10. Templates
11. Videos
