Apparently (according to the registers review) the Orange M500 has voice dial over bluetooth (although it does not relay the confirmation though the headset, only the speaker). Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have a M500 that they could dump the rom from?

Just got a new Bluetooth headset (I-Tech Clip on) to go with my Qtek 2020i and can't get any voice through it either way. I can hear the various bleeps and some connection noise but I cannot hear anyones voice and they can't hear me.
I've also tried another Bluetooth headset with my Qtek 2020i and get the same problem.
Bluetooth works fine with my Fortuna GPS.
I have tried the headset on a SPV M1000 and it works fine.
My friend has a Qtek 2020i with I-Tech clip on and that works fine.
Something is beginning to tell me that the Bluetooth in my Qtek 2020i is faulty unless someone out there knows different.
Installed software on my Qtek 2020i is

Only Batterypro is running when I try the headset.

When I answer a call using the button on the phone and the wired headset is connected, it seems to be that it's trying to use both phone and headset speaker & mic, the result it a very distorted call, unless I then unplug and reconnect the headset. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I have exactly the same problem. I have now tried three TyTNs (well, vodafone v1605s) and all have exactly the same problem.
Unplugging and plugging the wired headset back in resolves the issue, but is not great when it is illegal to do this when driving...

I've tried three headsets, also tried these headsets on an Orange SPV, a E650 I think, and they work fine.
Must either be a hardware fault with the TyTN or a software issue that has not been spotted yet (1.23.61.4 -> 2.04.161.2)... hasn't it??
I am sending the TyTN back and getting a TyTN II, hope this hasn't inherited the same problem.

Hi, I've read some post on BT and alternative Bluetooth drivers, but I don't understand if something can help me. Here is my problem:
I have an SPV M500 with latest Italian ROM. Then I have a Bluetooth handsfree car kit (Parrot Evolution). I have installed VITO voice dialer on my SPV, and assigned an hardware button to initiate voice recognition for calling.
When in car, with SPV and CAR Kit connected via BT, If I press the PARROT button for Initiate call, nothing happens (I also have an SPV C550 and it works).
So I have to press the assigned button on the SPV, but since it is quite far from my mouth, recognition always fails. With the SPV C550 I thing that my voice is heard from PARROT microphone, and it pass the voice to the phone via BT.
Is there a way to have my M500 working like the C550 ??
I think that any BT headset has the same problem (starting a voice call via headset button) so if anyone solved it I will be happiest man on heart !
Maybe simply an alternative to VITO voice dialer ? Someone tried Microsoft Voice command 1.6 ?

I have an original i-mate JAM and one of my frustrations is that it does not support making voice activated calls over bluetooth.
Is anyone able to confirm that this is possible with the JAMin?

Yes it is.
The Jamin (at least with official i-mate ROM) has built in "voice speed dial" (cut down version of Cyberon voice commander) and it works fine over BT.
Tried with Motorola H350 and Scala 500.

Related question: has anybody been able to use a Jamin with Ford's in-car audio system? I can't get it to connect but, even more annoying, my daughters £50 phone connected first time!!!
