grps orange dutch - Networking

i have a QTEK 9090 HOW CAN I GET TE GPRS SERVICE ON MY MOBILE

You need the correct Orange GPRS settings. I have a .cab file with those settings, which I atached in this post. It works on my Magician, I hope it works on your 9090, but I cannot gurantee it. Just copy it to your 9090, then install it and the correct settings should be in place. Then to get going, tap and hold the GPRS symbol next to the network signal symbol in the upper taskbar ( next to start button) and click on the connection you want to make. It should work.

GPRS Settings Orange NL

Hi there,
Is there any one that can help me with Orange GPRS NL settings?
- I have unlocked my XDA
- Have the GPRS function (SHARE) activated
- Tried just about all the settings I found on this site
- Called Orange several times (no help)
I'm sure I just need a few DNS's
Thanks.
Best regards,

Orange GPRS
You may want to try the config I used for Orange CH:
Create a connection, select GPRS, and the only thing I had to enter is the access point name: internet...
And it works... (the set-up might be the same, except the access point name...

GPRS Shortcut on the top bar

Previously when I click on the GPRS icon ( square with "G" ) and it will show me the GPRS connection option for me to click and connect to GPRS. However starting WM5, I found it shows only "To connect to either the Internet or work, set up a new connection in Settings".
May I know how to get back the shortcut thing ?

Where is my GPRS Connection?? Disappeared...

Hello all
You all know that once we set our GPRS connection in our PPC's then it appears when we press the G button on the top of our Pocket PC's. If we want to turn it on manually we press the underlined link with its name and it connects OK? ok.
I have made the same settings in my qtek 9000, I have a valid GPRS Connection in my Internet Connection Settings that works. Even Pocket IE uses it to connect to the Internet.
But when I am in my Today Screen and just want to set it on, I press the G button and my connection is not there. So I cannot manually turn it on, unless I go to Connection - Settings and Choose Connect etc...
All I want is a way to make my GPRS Conenction appear when I press the G button Is there a registry way around it? Thank you all...
P.S. I know about the permanent GPRS on hack, but it wont do me any good. I have a limit of 40MB a month so I want to choose when to use it.

connect gprs

hi
with mda2 at wm2003 I had after click at G (or signal strange button) posibility to connect to gprs, at wm5 this option is gone, it only show settings link. Should it be changed?
I've the same question.
thanks
Why? The wizard connects when you start any application that requires gprs access and keep the connection as long as you don't end it. What would be the value of connecting when it isn't used anyway?

pleas help who knows

I'v got Cingular 8525 unlocked from USA. I connected it to Orange in Israel.
Device shows that he connected to UMTS (U) and calls are ok but I am unable to conect to Internet or send mail SMS and MMS. What should I do?
Is that related to ROM version
call your telco service department and ask them for the operator settings. you will have to configure your device network settings for MMS, internet access etc.
I too use my TyTN on Orange in Israel.
Go to [Start] [Settings] [Connections]
Click on add a new modem connection in MY ISP
Name it something like "Orange"
chooseCellular Line (GPRS, 3G) under select a modem.
click next
under acces point name type "internet" with no quotes.
leave user name password etc. blank
click on finish
i dont know if this is necessary, but mine is set up this way.
Go to [Start] [Settings] [Connections]
click on advanced tab
click on select networks
i choose My ISP under both boxes
click ok.
I think for sms you go to
cGo to [Start] [Settings]
click on phone
highlight voicemail and text messages click on get settings and it will automatically configure from the orane network.
What is amazing to me is that I uses a Moto Q on Verizon EVDO in the states and the TyTN on Orange Israel is faster and more stable in terms of holding the internet connection. I am trying to cancel my verizon plan so i can use the TyTN in the states on Cingular as well.

Most operators require independent activation of voice/SMS/data services while Roaming abroad.
SMS by themselves use to be activated by default, since most providers do not charge for "incoming" SMS while Roaming.
Data is a more complex issue, since this may require adjusting settings.
Hope it helps.
