SMS from PC

Nokia provides software which sends SMS from a connected pc through the mobile.
How do I send an SMS through the mda2/xda2?
Thanks

You could try smssender from MS (free!). I have not tested it yet, but it should communicate over bluetooth correctly and use the XDA to send SMS!

PPC Send Contact 2004

reposting this because the original thread was truncated,
this program will send contact mobile number info thru SMS.
i will be releasing it soon.
Are you trying to say that this can send a vcard (more or less standard way of putting contacts-info in one file, can be read by ie. Nokia phones) via sms just like it allready works with BT?
Should be a Contacts-add-on instead of an extra piece of software.
@edsub
there is already a plugin that can do that but the problem is, its not compatible sending vcard to some of the phones (nokia,moto..etc)

my application will send the mobile number info with some short note using SMS so the nokia phones or any other type of phone that can send/recieve sms can have it. Ive got Tired of cut&pasting contact info and sending it.
No offense, but next to the fact I think your app really is very useful (for me too!!) I still think it should be a plugin for the contacts app. Can you make the app to behave like a plugin (or am I asking something weird now)?

Wow! This is great Pare!
In relation to this, shall we also expect that thru this app we too can receive Vcards from Nokias? The reason why I'm asking this is because my PPC device can't seem to receive Business Cards from Nokia phones.
My sincerest thanks!
hi guys
i found a app that sens vcards on the net but i cant remember where it was on one of the free ware sites.

SMS via bluetooth?

I've seen people send and receive messages via bluetooth with regular phones like Nokia, and I was wondering whether this is possible with a T-Mobile Vario (Windows Mobile 5). Would I need to install any application for this? Thanks.
Well i think theyre not really sending SMS Messages.. these are actually Notes. You donĀ“t need a programm for it. Just create a new Note/Text-File and send it via Bluetooth! ;-)
Vielen Dank!!!

Can I send SMS from Desktop via Wizard

Try the PocketSMS
Thanks - i'll give it a try!
pocketsms doesn't work for some.. you can try Jeyo Mobile as well.
as far as i heard sending sms from the internet have become possible / easy once more so that would be a cheaper path in general
well.. you can use ICQ to SMS for free.. works in most countries and if my brain doesn't mislead me you can a decent amount of free sms's to start with. also if you receive an SMS to ICQ you get 8 more sms's to send.. quite a dispenser.
