I'm now using O2 IIi. After connecting to the internet using WIFI for about 4 or 5 minutes, there is a part of the screen that I cannot tap anymore. I tried to soft-reset it, but the problem can't be solved. Yesterday I had to hard reset it so many times and now I don't dare to connect WIFE at all. Is there anyone having the same problem with me? Is there anything I can do to solve that problem? Thanks a lot!
Try flashing a new rom.

hi, my xda2 sunddenly restarts from time to time. dnt know the problem.
can you help me on this???
thanks
Hmm mine has started doing the same thing in the last 48 hours or so.
I'm running the latest official O2 ROM although for a while i was running WM2003SE too.
It's been randomly hard resetting and soft resetting all the time. 3 Hard resets and 4 soft resets today alone and I cant work out why. It does it even before I've installed any applications or anything.
Is it dead? Or does anyone know what might be causing it and have a potential fix? I was hoping it would last out till O2 released the XDA Exec....
I just got this phone a week ago, and its been working perfectly fine other than the Wi-Fi. Every time I try to connect the phone just jams, I have to take the battery out to restart it. It takes me up to the available wireless connections, asks me for the password, and once I've entered in the password its stuck.
Anyone else come across a problem like this? Or does anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong?
Thanks in advance!

With this type of problem, ie one that is not meant to happen - it should not freeze, then I would normally suggest a soft reset (as you have tried). I would now carry out a hard reset. (Get yourself a good full backup programme like SPB so when you hard reset you can get backup up with all your applications and settings in around 10 minutes).

Hey, I just got a new AT&T 8525 about 4 or 5 days ago and I've been having a lot of problems with it, actually. Sometimes, when I'm using it the touch screen will just stop responding. I would just press the power button so the display goes away but then when I try to turn it back on, it just doesn't do anything at all! The led's still flash and everything.
To get it working again, I just take the battery out and then it works for maybe a couple hours until it happens again. I tried to look up the problem and I think I remember seeing that it could be from having a program that is constantly using data connections such as a weather program or an rss feed program.
I'm using WM5.
Can anyone please help me??
Thank you!
Anyone at all? It would be great if someone could help me.
Hi all.
I've had my Trinity for 3 years now, and all of a sudden, the phone keeps doind hard resets without notice.
I tried to install a different ROM, even a 6.5 one, but this problems keep happening.
Any idea what's the problem??
Thanks in advance.
Anyone??? no one had a problem like this before?
me too
OK,
now I have the same problem.
Screen suddenly get black with backlight on. Only option then is taking the battery out or wait until it's out of power. When this happens, Trinity will start fully reseted next time with every data on on it loss.
And yes, this happens over and over again, so you can really call it some kind of loop.
Good news however, that flashing new ROM would be almost wasted time.
Then it would be even dangerous whilest this happens on flashing.
Also I feel that it does not happen when all automatic power saving options are deactivated. Maybe it happens while switching the backlight off?!
Do you have SIM-Lock? Because I still have and GPS also not installed with oldest Win5 Rom ever (caught on ebay )
Any solution?
Thanks for every idea.
EDIT: I found also this threat beneath. This problems might be of same value.:

Thank you. I'll try it and I'll let you know.
It's been so long since I started this thread. After all this time I have just found what it was causing my phone to shut down. for some reason it is the wifi. after I bought a tablet I had no further use for my phone's wifi so I turned it off and it's been almost a month and my phone never closed yet. one of this days I'll try a custom rom I have found here and I'll see if it was a software problem or hardware.
