Something like plugin maybe?
Thanks!

Hi !
You can add some extra commands ((with a TRICK)), that Microsoft forgot to include (again) !
If you google the web you will find two freeware programs called "Close" and "Close All" . After you install them make sure there are shortcuts for both of them in your" \Windows\Start Menu\Programs" directory (Otherwise M. Voice command will not find them!) .
Now you have added two (actually three new commands).
For Example - you say :
"Start Pocket Excel" > Pocket Excel opens
If you want to close it you say
"Start Close"
If you have several programs running and want to close them all you say
"Start Close All" .
And finally the third command :
You have several programs open and you want to bring one (for example Pocket Word) on top.
you say "Start Pocket Word" - you have it now on top (you can use it or close it-see above).
Actually with this trick you can scroll through all open programs and close them selectively.
(THIS WORKS both with V1.0 and V1.5 of M.Voice Command - V1.5 is much better though!)
Now you have additional new essential commands to work with your PPC!
Enjoy !
Should you have problems finding these two small programs on the web - please let me know - I will upload them here if this is not against forum rules - is it? Anyway I do not have them here on this machine - ie. can not do it right now .

v1.5.
Thank you for the tips!
Anyway to read sms?

If there is an app that reads SMS (I do not know?) and produces separate files for each SMS you can try with a trick which works with situations when you want to open whatever file by issuing a Microsoft voice command "Start 'filename' ".
How you do it :
You need to copy a shortcut of a particular file you offten use to \windows\start menu\programs (otherwise MVC will not be able to locate it).
I also rename the shortcut into some english (example shortcut of an excel file xyz.xls located on \Storage Card\Excel files) like I rename this for example to "tango".
You say : "Start tango" and voila excel opens with the xyz.xls file.
If you want to shock someone just try this trick - people just stare !
Enjoy

Hi, I have not tried your sugestion, because there IS NO NEED to infest Magitian with additional programs to open folders and files.
TRY :
If you use Resco File explorer (probably works with other file managers too)
Place the cursor on whatever folder (not only My Documents, Storage, Storage Card - any folder that you would like to open with MVC) > "COPY"
then you go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs > "PASTE Shortcut".
Now you just say: Start "Folder Name".
You See, no need for extra programs ....
Cheers !

Hi there!
I tried to use the Pocket Pc File Explorer to paste a shortcut in the Start Menu,
When I try to access the folder using MS Voice Command, It pops up an error
"Cannot find 'folder name' ( or one of its components ). Make sure the path and filename are correct and all the required libraries are available"
This happens because MS V C can start an application or exe files but not folders.
For this reason, I looked for an alternative and found MortRunner. The application Mortrunner is only 33Kb and with documention the total size comes around 64 Kb.
I just installed Resco File Explorer 2003 after reading your reply, Resco File explorer is huge 244 kb plus compared to Mortrunner and not Free, costs approximately 25 dollars. But we can explore easily and do many things more. Tested it as you suggested, yeah it works fine.
I tried it with another Freeware File Explorer GSFinder, it gave the same error message.
I am looking for freeware with small install footprint. Thats where MortRunner fits me and mortrunner is like a small dos shell for the PPC. We can use it to pass additional parameters to programs too.
Anyway, the only other purchased application apart from Windows Mobile, I have, is Voice Command.

nevertheless i found one _ttp://www.s-k-tools.com/sksmgr/sksmgr.html
its almost free for ex-USSR so i`ll give it a try.
Turist: you might want to read some of OdeeanRDeathshead's posts. I don't think he was being ironic.
Frankly, I've never found it difficult to write shortcuts by hand, but the sktools app is great, as ever.

There was no irony. As I was reading your post I was coding my app to check on startup its current location then generate a new shortcut to replace its existing one in the startup folder. One reason i use a shortcut done by hand is to get the command line arguments in it. I use the command line to tell my program if it is being started after a soft reset. If it is it minimises itself after a couple of seconds. Of course I don't need to look up the icon because my shortcut is for my executable, from memory it was just trial and error getting the correct icon for things like poutlook. I think any shortcut generator would have to be able to copy the info from existing shortcuts to make it useable over different versions/os etc.

I just finished updating my file open dialog. It can now create shortcuts that have command line arguments and it can extract the icons and their id from any file that contains them (exe dll). This will be available shortly as part of my almost (really) finished project.

Great! And please notice - i`m not chraging you for this brilliant idea
will it be available as standalone utility too?
The shortcut functionality will not be limited in any way on the program, but no, it will not be stand alone. I tested on jamin today (wm2005) and the handle htc give for the port is good, unlike the atom. I spent the last week converting my lists in the file open dialog to owner drawn to try and cut the display time on the windows directory. It has 1300 items and was taking 23 seconds, I have cut that to 7 seconds. Resco take 3.

Here Check this, I just packed that into cab from my ROM's OEM Package.
It will assign the voice button to alttab
WORKING CAB
I have rebuild your cab because the link inside was corrupted.
I've tried it, and works... perhaps when you invoke the app,it switch directly to the next switch. With SPB ALT-TAB you can see all apps opened, and also select with finger what do you want to restore... It's so cool.
All the other that I've seen, switch directly to next apps like your.
Then here it is, the Spb One:
ANyway in spb plus option there is an option to remove unused component
see in start-setting-system-spb pocket plus
click tools and click uninstall component
It's just an .exe file I copied to my windows directory, created a shortcut and maped it to my ptt button. worls as a standalone app like a charm.
Yes...I have tried too and works great.
It's wonderfull
Thanks.
I've installed on my PDA, it looks very nice!
In the beginning; I couldn't found it. It doesn't make automatically a shortcut to Programs. So I made it and made a shortcut too in the Traylaunch of Battery Status and as first shortcut in START. Where did you made shortcuts to this program?
Its cool~
And how about a soft-reset short-cut??
SPB Pocket Plus Voice Command Functions
Well, this thread already solved my Alt-Tab need from SPB. Has anybody been able to get the Voice Command functions to work without SPB fully installed?
I'm a voice command fan and use it constantly with a bluetooth head set. It was great to just say: "Start - Suspend" after ending a call and the phone would go into standby or "Start - Screen saver" and the screen would turn off when I'm on WIFI downloading something and want to save some battery life. I looked for these on SPB Mobile Shell and aren't available.
Anybody solved this?
maybe this is interesting for you:
MSCEInf is a nice tool which lets you analyze every .cab file:
it shows you all files, all directories and registry entries. and you can extract single files if you want.
with it i simply extracted the alttab.exe file from pocketplus and copied it on my ppc. so i didn't need to install the app.
A little more help
Ok, I could consider myself a power user, but I'm not at that level just yet. (better said, I gotta long way to go)
I got the software, I was able to Identify the executioner which would be spbservices.exe, now, how do I pull it out? Would I need to modify any registry?
Thanks
this one is really easy:
just drag&drop the cab file into the WinCE Cabs Analyser. then go to the "files" tab (if it is named so. i use the german build) and in the list with the file id 20 there is a "alttab.exe".
one simply drag&drop and you have your file ^^
I'm getting there
Trust me, it'll be easy for me after this last question:
Where do I drag and drop it? I select it and drop it in which folder? As of yet it's not working. I tried selecting it and dropping it over any other folder in Windows and it tells me it's unable to read the file, i've tried it on a browsing folder on my PPC and it doesn't answer anything, nor do anything.
Thanks for your patience.
Thanks man!
I was looking for quick-Alt-Tab applications. wunderfull....

Can't open PWI files with Word 2007
I've got the same (or a similar) problem to others in this discussion. I've got lots of Note (PWI) files created on my XDA using Windows Mobile 2005. I want to open these with Word (or any other desktop application). I've only got Word 2007 running on Vista, which doesn't recognise these files. OneNote 2007 doesn't recognise them either. I can't believe it's a good idea to try to install a converter that was written for Word 2002 into Word 2007, as suggested here. I don't feel like taking this risk unless someone has actually done it and can say it works...
Surely there _must_ be a way of accessing these files on a Vista/Office 2007 PC?
Thanks - Rowan
how to open psi file in XP or Vista
Hey, try to use My Mobiler to open your .psi directly from your computer,
highlight the content of your whole file by selecting all,
copy n paste the text onto a new notepad.
There you are.
Above all, you need to download My Mobiler and install it. It's a freeware n has been around for quite sometime.
For details can refer to
http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=1866
or google for it.
Thanks for this idea. I've downloaded this package and it does work, as you say. But it's a very roundabout and tedious way of opening a PWI file that I have on my desktop PC. I've got to:
1. Connect my mobile up to my PC.
2. Copy the file from my PC to my mobile.
3. Open up the virtual window on my mobile using MyMobiler.
4. Open the document on my mobile, via the virtual window.
5. Select and copy the text.
6. Paste it into a document on my PC.
Why on earth can't there just be an import filter into Word 2007, or a notepad-like application that can open PWI files as text? Why, for that matter, can't I open them in OneNote 2007? Are Microsoft trying to punish me for moving to Office 2007 or something?
I know other people need to import "ink", but I hardly ever use this, so I'm just interested in text.
Thanks - Rowan
This is simple:
1. Open Word (2007)
2. look for the file pwi to open
3. open it!
If you do this just by clicking the file it won't work. Why? Because some knucklehead in Microsoft didn't think things through.

THAT DOES NOT WORK!
Not opening in word by clicking it is simple and easy to fix. It's called file association.
But Word 2007 does not recognise the pwi file format. I've recently installed both office and the converters (which do say that they are for 2007 BTW).
(edit) OK - after that I got it to work.
You HAVE to have activesync installed on the machine you are trying to open it on.
It didn't work - I installed activesync - it still didn't work.
I connected the PDA - and copied over a pwi file to the PC. I could then double-click the file, and word did recognise the file format then.

It does open but, if you are like me and use it for a mixture of diagrams and handwritten text (all 'ink') don't expect it to display as it does on your device.
Much better to open and simply take a screenshot(s) to import.

Thank you
It seems to work in OpenOffice.org Writer. I can open a .pwi file in Writer and then save it with same name and format. When I open the file on my phone it looks like the text is in another font but that's no big problem.
To sync the file via Windows Mobile Device Center (ActiveSync) I have to close OpenOffice completely.
I've searched internet during whole day for how to restore my notes from my X1 which is sold! Installed OpenOffice, Microsoft Office 2007 - nothing helped!
Nothing except one guy's little program from 4PDA.ru. This guy's name is Mike Sinkovsky, his post is here
I think he won't mind if I post his program here(sources can be obtained from the link above). Attached.
P.S.: If you have lot of pwi files, maybe the my bat-file will help you which contais this line: "PWORD.EXE %1 > %1.html". As you see you must run it and give your pwi file as a parameter to it, and it will make readable HTML file from it.
P.P.S.: Mike Sinkovsky, thank you again!
Could you explain how you're using this pword app? When I open it, I see a command screen flash up for a second then disappear. I don't see any way to use it.
Thanks!
1. Create a shortcut on desktop.
2. Open shortcut properties.
3. To the string which is specified in "Target" add name of your pwi file (assuming that it's situated in the same folder) + " > 1.html" (should look like "C:\pword.exe mynote.pwi > 1.html")
4. Press ok
5. Run the shortcut.
6. Check the newly created 1.html file in the same folder you have pword.exe
the program works like a charm, thanks! You saved me a lot of tedious copy&paste time..

[App] VJBrisk v0.4 - new and improved

Guys,
I've finally gotten around to updating VJBrisk.
See here for info about the old version.
I don't know if anyone uses VJBrisk anymore, but basically it's a small .exe file that can be used to replace another .exe.
eg, If you want to change your Stocks.exe application and make it launch VJEschaton.exe, but Stocks.exe is somehow hardcoded into a skin or application, then rename VJBrisk.exe to Stocks.exe, and drop the new Stocks.exe into the correct folder. VJBrisk will then allow you to launch whatever app you want to, instead of Stocks.exe.
Ok - what's new:
1. People used to have problems with the old VJBrisk.exe if they wanted to replace multiple target applications, as you could only have one VJBrisk per folder.
This is no longer the case.
You can rename VJBrisk.exe to anything you want, and keep multiple copies in a folder.
Eg, say you rename VJBrisk.exe to TomTom.exe.
When you launch TomTom.exe, it will search for TomTomEXE.exe or TomTomLNK.lnk in the target folder, and execute that app.
So VJBrisk will now recognise that you have renamed VJBrisk, and search for [NEW NAME]EXE.exe (for an executable file) or [NEW NAME]LNK.lnk (for a shortcut).
In this way, you can have as many VJBrisks in a folder as you want, each with a custom name and target.
2. VJBrisk will now pass the command line passed to IT, on to the target application. Eg, If Stocks.exe is launched with command line
"Stocks.exe NBC", then VJBrisk will try to launch
"VJBriskEXE.exe NBC".
Note:
To show debug info when checking command lines etc, please rename the VJBrisk.exe file VJDebug.exe. It will then show information about what program and command line parameters it is about to launch.
That's it for now I think. Let me know if it works for you.
Download from my website, or here:
http://vijay555.com/vj/releases/vjbrisk/vjbrisk0.4.cab
Version 0.42 - please replace the exe in the above cab, or just use this exe:
www.vijay555.com/vj/releases/vjbrisk/vjbrisk.exe
[EDIT]
Please remember, you will have to rename shortcuts you used to use with the OLD VJBrisk.exe to VJBriskLNK.lnk, instead of VJTarget.lnk.
Apologies, but that's the cost of the new flexibility of supporting unlimited VJBrisk redirects in the same folder.
[UPDATE]
Version v0.4 has been re-written from scratch.
It now supports a very peculiar "feature" in the OS, where if you "launch" a shortcut (.lnk) file from a shortcut, the redirected shortcut will not launch with its command line parameters. I've sidestepped around this feature so it works as it should.
It's a niche "feature", but some might be effected by this. See VJSipSwitch for details (eg launching VJSipSwitch from a shortcut with command line parameters, and launching THAT shortcut with VJBrisk now works).
As an added bonus, VJBrisk will pass parameters to a shortcut, and also merge parameters from a shortcut to a shortcut before launching the target shortcut.
Trust me, this makes sense when you're on Meth.
Eg.
Eg.
A. Make a shortcut to VJSipSwitch with the command line parameters "key", and call it VJBriskLNK.lnk (Shortcut A)
B. Make a shortcut to VJBrisk.exe with command line parameters "board" (Shortcut B)
Launching Shortcut B will launch VJBrisk, which will merge the parameters "key" and "board" to launch VJSipSwitch with the parameters "keyboard".
V
PS Once again, I repeat what I say on my website. You really don't need this app. But if you do, it might come in handy!
Version History:
v0.3: updated command line redirection and dynamic renaming
v0.4: entirely re-written; parsing of .lnk command line parameters
v0.41: fixed bug in handling of .exe in root folder
v0.42: support VJDebug debug info
It does not work for me.
I've been trying for hours to get Calendar.exe in /Windows
to redirect to PocketInformant
I used to use these instructions. Can you please modify them to fit the new version.
To launch another PIM from TouchFlo 2d from the home tab:
1. Download VJBrisk app (one of Vijay555 tools).
2. Rename VJBrisk to Calendar.exe and the shortcut to your PIM app to (ex. agendaone.lnk) to VJTarget.lnk.
3. Place these two files into \Windows folder.
Guys,
The difference (and advantage) between the old version and the new one is that the new one will (by default) search for
VJBriskEXE.exe or
VJBriskLNK.lnk (for the shortcut to pocket informant).
So rename the shortcut to VJBriskLNK.lnk, not VJTarget.lnk.
Let me know if that doesn't work.
V
No that doesn't work. I get the following error:
VJBrisk can be used to redirect hardcoded .exe and .Ink links.
Couldn't find 'calendarLNK.Ink' or 'calendarEXE.exe'
in the launch directory: '\Windows'
Command Line:
"
Can you help further? or direct me to a copy of v0.1 which did work.
Thanks.
@urbanlibrarian: can you explain exactly what you're doing?
VJBrisk is clearly working - you've renamed VJBrisk to Calendar.exe, and are launching it. The error tells you exactly what you need to do next.
VJBrisk/Calender.exe is now searching for a file called
'calendarLNK.lnk' or 'calendarEXE.exe'.
So Find PocketInformant on your system, and find the relevant .exe file you want to launch. Make a shortcut to it (eg, if it's called PocketInformant.exe, make a shortcut to it called PocketInformant.lnk).
Next rename PocketInformant.lnk to CalendarLNK.lnk, and drop that in your \windows\ folder.
Presto.
Let me know if it works ok.

Sorry, may i ask what is the function of this apps?
@bbshk - I tried to explain the first post, and it helps if you read the old VJBrisk thread.
Basically, say you've got the TouchFlo interface, and it's hard coded to launch the standard MS Calendar when you click "calendar". [I'm giving an example, because I don't use the interface, but theoretically follow my example].
Now, say you use Pocket Informant as your calendar - pressing Calendar in TouchFlo is just a pain in the ass, as it doesn't launch Pocket Informant, it launches the MS Calender.
So, you find Calendar.exe in your \windows\ folder, and replace it with VJBrisk.exe (renamed to Calendar.exe).
When you click Calender in TouchFlo, TouchFlo tried to launch the MS Calendar. But instead, it launches VJBrisk.
Now, that's helpful, but VJBrisk alone does nothing.
The next step is to tell VJBrisk to actually launch PocketInformant, achieving your primary goal.
Hence:
TouchFlo -> Press "Calendar" -> Launches Calendar.exe (actually VJBrisk) -> VJBrisk launches Pocket Informant.
So, although it has a very niche use, in some circumstances, it's the easiest way to make some software do what you want it to do.
Search for VJBrisk and get an idea of where it's used in various roms etc.
And remember what I say on my website re VJBrisk:
http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJBrisk
This is very specific in use. You don't need it, I'm sure.

Very helpful tool for me, Thank you, Vijay555.
I use VJBrisk to lunch shortcuts by gesture in UltimateLunch. UL's gesture supportes only .exe program.
@ufriendxda - glad you like it. I didn't even think of using it like that, good stuff!

GREAT APP
Thanx a million this app made me sor happy, thnx to it i could now finich my dev. of the new X1 powerbutton 12 icon Actionscreen with softreset and power off...
thanx...
Thanks for this VJ. However, I have just made an error!
I tried to replace Tasks.exe to launch the SBSHCalendarTasks.exe but it launches Resco Contact Manager.
How do I get it back to launching the basic tasks program? Or what I need to do to launch SBSHCalendarTasks?
Thanks
You should just be able to go into your \windows\ folder and delete tasks.exe (if that was the renamed VJBrisk.exe that you added).
When you "delete" files from the rom, they aren't deleted, they just get replaced with the original rom file. So if you delete the fake tasks.exe, the original tasks.exe should come back.
There's no reason it should be launching Resco unless you told it to do so. Try remove any copies of VJBrisk.exe that you added, find the program you want to launch (SPB Tasks), copy the .exe, rename to Tasks.exe and place in the \windows\ folder.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks VJ, that all worked fine.
However, it appears that I was trying to call the wrong programme!
Let me explain: I wanted to get the 'Tasks' link on the 'Today' page to link to SBSHCalendarTasks. Stupidly I had assumed that the call for the 'Tasks' on the 'Today' page is linked to Tasks.exe!
Anyone know what I should be replacing when the 'Tasks' is clicked on the 'Today' screen?

VJBrisk and VJ sipswitch won't work in combination.
Hello VJ, have a new one. I want to switch SIP by profile (using PhoneAlarm), but I have to start a.EXE and cannot pass a parameter (by using a LNK or directly at the .EXE invocation.
So VJBrisk seems to be the perfect version to invoke it. I use it already to start other Calender or Tasks (invoked by Manila2D), but it fails to invoke VJ SIPSwitch.
VJBrisk -> SPISWITCH will not work.
Exact steps, which I have done (maybe I made an error)
Created a .lnk file and named it "SipSwitchNullkbLNK.LNK" which invokes "sipswitch nullkb" (nullkb is a SIP). Invoking it directly works well. Now made a copy of VJBrisk.exe and named it SipSwitchNullkb.exe and placed it into same folder. When I start it, I get a VJ SIP messagebox: "SIP not found".
You might have a look on it?
Thank you
keep on
Dejan
Very useful, thanks a lot !
Version 0.4 released
New version:
Eg.

I'm having trouble getting this working... I'm trying to use it to redirect manilla2d to open the Google Maps exe on my strage card instead of device memory (as I have an Omnia i910 and device memory is precious!)
I put a copy of vjbrisk.exe in \Program Files\Google Maps, renamed it "GoogleMaps.exe" (which is what is hard coded in Manilla), created a shortcut to the actual GoogleMaps on the storage card, named it "GoogleMapsLNK.lnk", put it in the same directory, but every time I try to access the maps tabs I get an error from vjbrisk saying "Could't find 'GoogleMapsLNK.lnk' or 'GoogleMapsEXE.exe' in the directory '\Program Files\GoogleMaps'". BUT I KNOW THEY ARE THERE, and spelled correctly. What am I missing???
I included an attachment of a screenshot of the "\Program Files\Google Maps\" directory connected through ActiveSync to show you I am not crazy.
Help?
Thanks
@false_apology - did this issue ever get fixed?
Could you email or attach the .exe and .lnk you made so I can have a look at them.
How did you create the .lnk?

Hi Vijay, I have been using the original VJBrisk for a while now - it is a really handy tool. Shall update to the new version - looks like a great step forward!

[REQ]How to create a Quick Link to "Games"

Hi,
I'm new in Manila... and the HD2.
How to create a Quick Link to a subfolder like "Office Mobile" or "Games".
I was able to Create a Name and an Icon by changing HKLM/software/htc/manila/Home, but don't find how to create a path to a subfolder like "Office Mobile" or "Games".
I try to modify "exePath" registry key (\Windows\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\Jeux ), but it doesn't work...
any idea?
hum hum, it seems to be difficult to find a good way
Perhaps it's possible to do it using Morscript...
On my old Omnia, I created a file called Games.mscr, where we find :
Run \Windows\SamsungPrograms.exe,\Windows\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\Jeux
my problem is that I don't find the "SamsungPrograms.exe" equivalent in the new HD2 !!!
please, any idea ?
for the moment, I create a shorcut to "Games" with RescoExplorer...
but it opens with RescoExplorer
I'm sure we can find better way to open directly the "Games" (or "Office" or "Multimedia" or ...) directory with a Quicklink.
I'm sure you have the answer , please, share it
I think I found something impossible to do with Leo !!!
or you don't want to share your solution?
fredcom2 please share your solution. so Want to have this.
sorry for my bad english...
in my previous message, I'd like to say that I probably find something impossible to do with Leo.
I'd love to have a solution for a Quicklink to a folder, but I don't have...
My previous phone was an Omnia and it was possible to create a Morscript shortcut with something like that :
"Run \Windows\SamsungPrograms.exe,\Windows\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\Jeux"
but I don't find the equivalent of "SamsungPrograms.exe" in our Leo ... so no solution for the moment.
sad
This should give us a clue... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4922420&postcount=33
Another clue... seems like we need a string value saying Command http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=518217
Hi tboy2000,
thanks for your time.
you pinpoint what is NOT working for our HD2.
in "old" manila, we had to change something like "HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher\18"...
but we have no more "Manila\ProgramLauncher" key.
in fact we have something close : "HKLM\software\htc\manila\Home\18" and we have "exepath" instead of "Command"... but it's not working for me as my folder is always open by RescoExplorer or FileExplorer and NOT with the StartMenu Launcher.
I probably do something wrong, but I'm not able to find what's wrong

Hi,
any news about this subject?
I'm allready working with a shortcut opening the "Game" folder with FileExplorer (or RescoExplorer), but not directly in the StartMenu...
any idea?
I had this question too but then found an alternative solution which involves 1 extra press:
move the games folder [which you see when you press the windows hardbutton] to the top of that screen; then all you do is press windows button; press "games" and Robert is your Uncle
Hi,
many month later, same question : is there any clean solution to open a subfolder like "Office Mobile" or "Games".
It was possible with my older phone (Omnia), I saw video where it's possible with Iphone... so is there a way to do it with our HD2?

pm watcher64. maybe if you are nice to him, he will explain it to you. Yes there are ways, he made a shortcut for me for my movies folder.
edit: here is his post explaining how to do it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7276404&postcount=15
@nrfitchett4
thanks for your answer...
BUT this shortcut only opens a FileExplorer directory...
what I mean, and what I want, is to open directly the Windows Program windows in the good directory (say Multimedia or Games or Tools).
Again, it was possible with my old WM Samsung Omnia, ant it's possible with Iphone.
edit: in RescoExplorer, it's possible to create a shortcut of a directory with "Files/SendTo/asAShortcut"... but, as fileExplorer, it just open RescoExplorer and not the Windows Program windows
works for me with normal file explorer of windows.
i just make a shortcut with the file explorer and copy it to windows/startmenu.

I'm sorry for my bad english...
I know that it's possible to have a shortcut who opens FileExplorer or RescoExplorer in a directory like Windows/StartMenu/Programs/Games ... BUT it's completly different that opening the "Games" directory by Start/Games... this is not the same screen.
So my question is : is it possible to open directly the Start/Games?
on the 2 pictures below, we can see the difference between the 2 possibles open...
im not sure it does shortcuts to folders on the homescreen, if it was s simple and easy method im sure you would have been directed to it already
