I attempted to connect PPTP to my VPN router through XDAIIi in vain although it is NO PROBLEM when I used my laptop, Ipaq 4700 & Acer N50. Is it the bugs of XDAIIi or my Vigor 2300 VPN router problem.

Hi,
can O2 ATOM use WPA-PSK ?
I am setting my AP and my atom - and no packets are seen on the AP !
("control" laptop connects fine)
ugilad,
Yes the Atom uses WPA-PSK. I am running WPA-PSK at home and it works perfectly.
i also have a wireless network running WPA-PSK encryption and i can connect without any problems. upgrade to the latest firmware for the atom if you haven't already as it has a better wireless manager. another thing to note is whether you have mac address filtering on your network in which case you would need to add the mac address of your atom to the wireless router's list.
WRT54GX v2
does anyone have any success using WPA-PSK with Atom Exec on Linksys WRT54GX v2?
I know quite a lot of you guys are/were having the same problem since the 2.xx Rom. I can connect to open networks just fine but the Wizard doesn't connect to encrypted networks. Has anybody found a solution to this problem yet?
Any help is much appreciated.
Regards,
Alex
You've got to be more specific. I have no problems connecting to secure wifi. What authentification type, WPA, Shared, WPA-PSK??
I've tried WPA-PSK and TKIP so far.
TKIP at a friend's house who owns the O2 xda mini s (O2 branded Wizard) and he could connect just fine. My QTEK 9100 couldn't.
WPA-PSK at my parents'. My dad connects to the network with Nintendo DS but again, my QTEK wouldn't.
seems like they had the same problem:

Hi,
i have strange problem with my htc 3600 and siemens wifi dsl router se568. My ppc connects to router but i can't ping router or access internet or any other computer on network. Strange thing is that my ppc connects to other wireless networks without problems. I tried 2-3 laptops and they connect to siemens router. Also i tried some other pocket pcs and they connect also to my siemens router. only combination that doesn't work is my htc 3600 and router.
Anyone has any suggestion how to solve it?
One more thing i use WPA-PSK TKIP encryption.

Ok found solution. For some strange reason when I put wifi preferences fon pda Best Performance it connects and works fine. When i return it to Best Battery it will not connect. Strange. Probably it is something with my wifi router.

I have several imate Jamin and SP5 (HTC Prophet, Tornado), and i've used them without much trouble for the last coupe of years. We used a Linksys router to connect via wifi and it worked well, but know we bought a Cisco 851w router and the devices don't connect to it. They receive the SSID, but if we try to connect to the router, it just doesn't happen.
The devices are flashed with an official i-mate WM5 ROM.
Does anyone has any idea what the problem maybe? I've read that the CCX Cisco extension has caused some problems with others HTC devices, but i don't knonw if this router uses CCX and if it does how to disable it.
Any help is welcomed.
Hi everybody.
May anyone help me to set my WM6.1 device (HTC Tynt II) working properly via VPN with my Netgear FVG318 router???
I tried many times, also searching info on the board, but I have never been successful.
The main problem (I believe) is that the Netgear VPN router has so many options compared to the VPN client in WM6(.1), so I do not know what to do.
If you are men of good will, you can have info on the router looking at: http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/FVG318v1.asp
Many thanX
