hi Is there anyway to specify an alternative connetion port when connecting to a ts server from the client on the wm2003se?
i want to be able to specify the following:
123.112.123.50:2424
instead of:
123.112.123.50
any ideas? or any hacks in the registry for this?
thanks

Hi all,
is there anybody who can tell me how i can test my pocket pc application which is a simple webserver, through activesync??
i can get it's IP address (192.168.55.101) but i can't reach it from my workstation, also i have no idea how to change it.
when connect through GPRS all works fine , simply would like to test it from my workstation.
After some research i noticed that it is a pass-through connection and that it uses TCP to do this.
anybody an idea on how to use it so that i can use my workstations IE to show the pocket pc's page on the little webserver i wrote.
greetz,
Marc

Folks, please do follow my articles. I've published several articles on the networking model of ActiveSync, particularly under WM5.
See http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=555&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
Under WM5 / WM6, as long as you don't disable the new AS networking model (it's enabled by default), your IP is 169.254.2.1
How can I use Terminal services client to connect to XP remote desktop not using port 3389 ???
since i have change the default port 3389 to 4489, but the Terminal services client on the Qtek 9100 canot input ports, any tweak ? Thanks
You should be able to input the port by a : after the address.
e.g. 127.127.127.127:1234

Click to collapse
on a PC-yes, however on PPC this doesn't work as the initial question also states
Tweaks2k2 .Net has the option to change the TS Client Port. Unfortunatly I don't know the registry hack.

that is none standard port (3389)

How to change the Terminal Services Remote listening port
Hello,
THis page may help you:

The idea is to create a registry value that corresponds to the port 8888 in your example).
Hope this helps.
Hallo!
has anyone managed to run PocketPuTTY (http://www.pocketputty.net/) on the Tytn? I would like to connect using a non-standard port and did not manage to get it work. Do you know any other good ssh/telnet solution for Tytn?
TYIA
PocketPutty works fine on my TyTN, however I haven't tried to connect to a non standard port.
Other telnet/ssh client i like more than PocketPutty is mtoken: http://www.choung.net/mToken/
I use pocket putty on my M3100 to connect to my router at home. It works fine on the standard SSH port, not sure about other ports though.
I use PockeTTY, it lets me configure each session and specify the port...but I have never tried on a non standard port, so I'm not sure...but check it out.

I'm dyin for a sftp client myself.
same here... I found a non-free one called zaSFTP at http://www.zatelnet.com/zasftp/main.php
I really wish someone would make a F/OSS sftp client. Ideally, a port of filezilla would be sweet. There seems to be very little demand for SFTP on pocketpc's and smartphones and really zasftp is the only program I have found (free or otherwise).
Solved
I found the solution here:

Hi,
I want to use PPTP or any else integrated or freeware VPN software but not on standard TCP/UDP ports. Can somebody help me ? Is it in register or do I need a patch? If it is not possible with M$ client software exist some free alternative ?
I will explain later, when it works, why I need this.
Thanx
