My Qtek s100 has gone faulty. The sound from the earpice has become erratic, seems like a dodgy connection inside.
In order to return it I wish to reset all the call timers to zero on it. I can reset the recent calls but not all calls. Help please !

please help, i'm going mad!
when an incoming call comes in on my MDA Vario with QTEK rom and I press ignore (or the red hang up key), it does not hang up the call and divert through to voicemail......it just silences the ring tone.....but the incoming call keeps ringing until it finaly diverts through to voicemail (via the 25 seconds I have set in the call forwarding options)
I have tried the same thing with my SP5m and also my Universal and they all instantly divert the call to voicemail when hitting ignore or the red hang up key
is it a QTEK Rom issue or a Wizard issue????
I am on the QTEK rom as it seems the most stable........I tried the imate Rom but a real weird thing kept happening.......text messages were deleted after a soft reset......anyone know what caused that one?
cheers for any help
just tried it on my qtek and hangup and ignore both work... time for a hard reset?
yep... did that and now all ok....
I think it was something to do with a call filter program I had installed but didn't work.....must have altered the registry settings affecting hangups (the program alleged to filter and hang up automatically but I couldn't get it to work!)
it did also keep dropping the phone ring volume to zero as well but a soft reset after uninstall cured that one....
just thought it might have been the rom....glad it was more simple!
cheers
This now happens on my HTC Wizard (8125) and I've traced it down to an active GPRS connection. If I'm on GPRS pressing the soft key to ignore or pressing the hang up button silences the ringer but does not divert the call to voicemail. Once I disconnect the GPRS connection I can once again ignore calls using this feature.
Since directpush needs a constant GPRS connection, I am pretty upset that I have to sacrifice this functionality. Is there no solution?
Hi!
One of our TyTNs has just stopped making noise. Or more specifically no matter what I do I can't get it to make any sound in respnse to screen taps, incoming calls etc.
However there IS audio present when a call is answered (i.e; you can have a conversation). Do I understand it correctly that the TyTN has a speaker for calls and a speaker for system sounds / ringtones etc? I read somewhere that potentially the "system sounds / ringtones" speaker may have become disconnected?
I've tried a adjusting volume preferences, doing a soft reset, hard reset and for good measure re-applying the WM6 firmware. No change.
Any thoughts most welcome!
Thanks in advance.

Audio Issue.
Not sure if the TyTNs is a similar model to my MDA Vario II but I had the same problem. Just had to return it to The Carphone Warehouse where I purchased it from, and evan their engineers couldn`t do the job. Instead it got shipped back to the Manufacturers and took a month. If yours is still in warrenty, then best do the same. Regards.....Randsman

This problem has been dealt with a few times. The first step having checked sound settings (as you have I believe) is to do a soft reset and if no joy a hard reset. (for general guidance - I know you have already done this!)
If the problem remains and you get sound in calls (front speaker) then it is likely the connector for the rear speaker has popped off (not uncommon).
Rather than describe it all here, please see:

The fix is relatively easy remove back cover and re-seat the connector. It does depend on the warranty situation though, as removing the back cover will void it.

Wonder anyone got this problem, make outgoing call or incoming call, no voice from internal speaker. But if I press "Speaker On" during call I can hear the voice of the other party.
Playing music song playback sound ok, only during call conversations , both outgoing & incoming, I can't hear any sound unless I turn the speaker-phone on.
seems there is a problem in the phone speaker, though the main speaker is working properly.
Tried hard reset and also changed the SIM, but to no avail.
Any advice? Thanks.

My problem has been solved. I had created a backup of my system with SPB backup and it restored my phone back.
I think the problem arose after installing oldSAP speaker phone, which routed the incoming and outgoing call audio via speakerphone.
However, I cant understand that if it was a software problem, why could'nt it be solved by Hard reset.
Any suggestions ?

My problem with the phone speakers resurfaced, sometimes they behaved and sometimes did'nt, thereby forcing me to turn the speakerphone on for listening to calls.
I finally took my phone to a nearby Mobile Repair Shop. The mechanic told me that it was a common problem in most phones and the only way out was to change the phone speakers. The speakers available were Chinese ones for Rs 150 and what he called original ones for Rs 300. I opted for the latter and he replaced the speakers within 5 minutes, whether he changed the speakers or just refittted the Originals after cleaning? I do'nt know. However, problem solved since then.
I have same problem for about 5months which was described in the first post, and can't solve this problem...any help?
I am also facing the exact problem!!! It was working fine until I accidently did the factory reset... now I have installlllled OS many times with diff vrs. & from stock to diff customized roms but the problem still persists!!!! wondering wat happened!!
Straight out of the box I've been having trouble. If I call someone, more often than not the dial tone and the voices sound like a robotic chipmunk, all distorted and squelchy. Other times it works perfectly fine. When the chipmunks come out to play (including the distorted dial tone) I can continue the inaudible call for as long as I want, but once I end call, the phone becomes non-responsive and I have to do a soft reset.
I've tried a hard reset on the phone twice in the past few days, turned off all non-criticals (eg. wifi, data, etc) and the issue still occurs. I've also tried both Optus and Vodafone in a vein hope this issue was SIM or carrier related. The problem occurs on both.
If I do a soft reset, I can use all other functions on the phone without issue.
Am I looking at a brick that needs returning?

Yes, it sounds like you need a replacement, that's obviously not normal behaviour and if hard resets don't fix it as you say (and you're not installing anything(!) just to make sure) it's a clear hardware fault.
(Either that or try cybernetic pest control)
hello,
can someone tell me how (like registry-way) i can reset the call time of incoming and outgoing calls?
best regards, giRaM
I may be wrong, but I've had WM devices before where these timers somehow survived a hard reset. I'm not sure it is possible to reset these.
hard reset doesn't work. and thats why i'm asking for other ways, like reg-edit or others.
best regards,
giRaM
