Can someone please extract wmvdecoder.dll from WM 9 - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

BetaPlayer currently doesn't support WMV because it rely on wmvdecoder.dll from Windows Media 9. Anyone can extract this file out from the rom? Thanks.

Does anyone know where to download WMP 10 for PPC????

If anyone knows where to download the WMP 10 for PPC plz plz urgently reply? I have win 2003 SE and would like to have WMP 10??
Thanks
I'm pretty sure that there isn't a stand-alone version of WMP10 but all the latest ROMs for WM2003SE contain it.
Dear,
do you have the latest ROM or know how i can get my paws on it???
Thanks
Wiki, baby, wiki.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/
What device do you have? I noticed that you posted elsewhere that you wanted to install a BlueAngel ROM. If so, the latest ROM can be found at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_1.42.00_Upgrade
ok, no cab, no official upgrade. But if. some rom have wmp10 compatible with WM2003se I am sure that we can find files to copy somewhere and registry settings to change. Does somebody have already done this job ?

Black WMP Crossbow skin

Hi,
I just re-flashed mu Universal to the original Windows Mobile 5.0 ROM, for testing purposes. I intend to keep it WM5.0 for a while and I was wondering if I could keep the neat black Windows Media Player Mobile 10.3 skin of Crossbow.
Unfortunately I came up with this idea at the moment I was back at WM5.0, so I can't check myself.
So my question is: is this even possible (using the files located in de Crossbow \program files\windows media player\ folder)?
If so, could someone please grab the involved skinfiles and post them here?
That would be very very much appreciated!!
Thnx.

Fix to play WMV/WMA on TCPMP (Work around for WMP)

Hi,
For ppl out there who have problem playing WMA and WMV files on Window Mobile Player (WMP) and are unable to play these files on TCPMP, I had found this threat on the forum that may be useful:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=313978&page=2
Download the file attachment on the threat, unzip the file and copy them into the \Windows directory on the Blue Angle. You should be able to play the WMA & WMV properly on TCPMP.
For ppl who want a copy of the TCPMP, here is the link:
http://www.freewareppc.com/multimedia/tcpmp.shtml
Hope this help.
Cheers!

I used Helmi's new kitchen to generate a new ROM and installed it. I added the 2 dll files to coreplayers folder and all now works.
Thanks Motisu for the reply Finally I managed to get the midi ringtones working by installing the Mi_MediaSupportv2.cab file which was in the forum. Also I replaced HTCMIDI.avd file in the windows with a smaller kb.I feel the midi quality is better. I dont know how to post the new HTCMIDI Codec File.

Play Mp4 file on Media Player

Hi Gusys
The operating manual indicates that media player is able to play quite a number of video file formats, including AVI and WMV. However, my just simply dont and come out an error message that it does not recognise the file / format, especially when I tried with AVI. I tried with Mp4 instead and it works.
Anyone know why? Do I need to install any sort of encoder or driver? Or do I need to install other better player?
My choice is CorePlayer v1.1.1. build 1600.
Just need to enable under tools menu many video formats, then most of videos will be playing...
Hi Sas sas
Thank for the advice.
Does the version you recommended the latest one?
I done a search online, seem that latest version is coreplayer ppc v1 2 3 build 4012 cab.full.
Hope they are the same thing we discussed here.
Look forward to your advice.

Does this mean that I can uninstall FP7 and rely on only this? That would be great!!!
Yes, you can. I still didnt found a way to use it on opera or IE, but its working flawlessly on all my apps.
OK, first incompatibility:
I installed WM6.5 on my BA and FEwidgetslite bombs out. Works fine with the OPAL version of 3.1.
Not sure how fewidgets work, but if its similar to throttlehtml it should be as simple as editing the html file it reads to have this code.
(Change the name TESTE and the size 550x400...)

OTOH, I installed this one and installed the old version of FEwidgets (which needed FP7) and it works GREAT!!

Sorry but I didn'tt understand what I have to change the name to and where it should go. Also, why 550X400, the BA is standard QVGA 320X240?
No, I exported that html code from Flash CS4, its the standart code to read flash lite 3 (not sure youll need all that, maybe just the OBJECT area).
You'll "just" need to change all that has the name TESTE.swf to (not sure whats the name you need) FEwidget.swf(?) with the fewidget size 240x295(?) instead of the 550x400 that my html had.
what do i need to do to make this work with opera? do i need to setup anything else other than installing the .cab file?

hi, inspecting the CAB I could not find a COM control on any of the dlls, do you know if this release has the ActiveX necesary for IE/opera? or is it just the player?
thanks a lot.
Nico.
never mind, I got my answer...
Not a plugin

Hi all
According to the Adobe website this distributable packages is in fact a stand alone player, not a web browser plugin. Can anybody confirm this? I can't get it to work with Opera the way the previous versions did.
Cheers
andrew-in-woking
This is the standalone player only, the official wordings state it all (see below). I got it from here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/distributableplayer/
Flash Lite 3.1 Distributable Player.
Flash Lite 3.1 includes the same features as Flash Lite 3.0, such as support for Flash Player compatible video, with some additional enhancements including improved security model for SWF file access. The solution delivers a standalone player for applications, without affecting the Flash Lite browser plug-in or pre-installed standalone player, if present.
The player posted in this thread does not work when you tap the .exe located in \Storage Card\program files\Adobe\FlashLite. You have to use a program to associate .swf with the .exe, then it will open, however from what I've tried so far..everything has been very slow..
I'm disappointed because there is no zoom feature, or quality toggle..there are less options than the previous flash lites.

The Adobe Mobile Packager is also available on this page http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/distributableplayer.html so you can take the .swf and package it yourself to run in Flash Lite 3.1 ...
Thanks, I was hoping for something like that for a long time, but...
Tried it, hated it...
But hey, at least it exists now...
what does "max number of subdirectories exceeded" mean? When I try to compile a flash game I get this error..
I've tried to get this game to work, dice wars:
http://www.gamedesign.jp/flash/dice/dice.html
he is trying to compact all the files and folders he "sees" into a cab file, you need to separate your project with only the files you want in a different folder for him to pack...
I really didnt liked that swf>exe builder...
I'd advice this one:
http://www.bryht.com/flashapp.htm
Its old and only works for qvga/vga, but its so much better to use...

thanks twolf, it worked!, well, compiling it did, but flash 3.1 did not know how to handle the .swf. it says "Error: ActionScript Stuck"
Atleast I can try with other flash games and movies.
I check out the other flash packager as well.
