I have uninstalled Netremote from my PPC and now whenever I turn it on I get an error: "Cannot execute \Program Files\Netremote\Netremote.exe".
Clearly it cannot find the file because I have uninstalled.
How do I stop it looking to execute it?
TIA

Hello,
Are there any (preferably free) tools available which will delete temporary files, explorer cache, etc. from de XDAII?
I manually delete all entries in /temp directory, but if things can be automated....

If your profile is correct, you have XDA II works with WM2003 which has .NET CF by default, what was the need to install another .NET ???
I just got my first PDA Wednesday, HTC 8525. But this question would be more directed to anyone using Windows Mobile 5. I installed a program thats called "slide to unlock" cool little program, but i tried to erase it but everything erased but one file called Ilock.
Well when i try to erase it it give a message saying:
"Cannot delete ilock: there has been a sharing file violation
The source or destination may be in use"
Thanks in advance to whoever helps.
by the way i did a quick search and didn't find anything. So please no, "use the search button" comments.
Found the problem, it was linked to the program iphone...thank anyways
i understand how it is to be new to this so here you go-
you must always completely terminate a program for it to be completely uninstalled. this can be done in a variety of ways: first is to terminate the program through its own exit command within the program. second, if the program does not have an exit command you can manually terminate the program using 3rd party apps like memmaid and sktools. third would be to check the \windows\startup directory if the program is started upon device startup or soft reset. if the program contains a shortcut or an exe file in the windows startup folder, then manually delete this then do a soft reset.
after all these you should be able to already completely uninstall the app. in the case of iLock, it is said in the program's readme text that tapping on the iLock.exe file once runs the program then tapping it a second time closes the iLock app and shows a windows saying so.
I changed registry file per exe file.Word "exefile" I changed with "jpgpicture".My telefone now is blocked !Active sync no work! How change again registry?
Thanks! My telephone is htc s 310.
Why did you do this???
If activesync is not working (did you try soft reset?) you must have changed more than just a file reference.
In any case you can try this:
Download PHM Registry Editor as cab installation
Copy to SD/mini/micro using card reader.
Install to device and use the program to change registry back.
If tis does not work your only choice is hard reset but you will loose all your data.
I have install regedit in my mobile.
I did this because not could download file with extension wich not have program for open this,
For example... no could download file zip if not have unzip program install in my mobile!
How do soft reset? Because when push button(taste) frontale for shown my mobile show:
"There is no application associated with "fexplore".Run the application first and then open this file inside the application"
Or when push Start taste shown:
"There is no application associated with "appman".Run the application first and then open this file inside the application"
Or when push button for camera, mobile shown:
"There is no application associated with "Camera".Run the application first and then open this file inside the application"
And sometimes shown "Cannot execute repplog.exe"
Thanks and forgive for my bad language!
Again thanks!
There should be a hardware button combination to preform hard reset.
Unfortunately I don't know what it is for your device. I recommend you check the manual or look in the WiKi.
Make sure you repost your q to http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=341 . I'm not moving the thread because there may be other S310 users lurking here too.
Recently I installed an executable file and it didn't install properly . Everytime I restart my phone I found an error message which says "xxxxx.exe couldn't start...". I tried uninstalling the application, but nothing happens, the message still appears.
How can I disable the service or something to look for this file? It is not in the startup folder. I tried with MemAid cleaning the bad uninstalls, but still nothing. I look for this exe in the registry, and it doesn't appear...
I guess some service is trying to load this exe, how can I find it?
Thankx.
I try to connect to pc and i got this notification error: Cannot execute repllog.exe. I checked my device/windows/ and couldnt find repllog.exe.
Can somebody uploud for my this file. Or maybe is it posible to reinstall activesync in device?
