uncheck 'Showing on screen....'
Sorry for stupid question it was so simple
can not find this menu point?!
You can find this settings in "Einstellungen" (Startmeü) > "Sounds & Benachrichtigungen" > change to "Benachrichtigungen" (bottom of screen) > then select "Ereignis: Mesaging: neue SMS". There you can uncheck the checkbox "Nachricht anzeigen".

You can assign a ringtone to a contact through "Contacts -> [Contact Name] -> Ringtone" (no need for any 3rd party software)
You can assign a ring-image to a contact through "Contacts -> [Contact Name] -> Picture" (works much better than IA's PhotoContacts / CallerIDs)
You can always stay connected with GPRS (even if u lost connection, it will reconnect) by changing registry value of HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{Your Connection Class}\Connections\[Your Connection Name]\AlwaysOn = 1
You can restart your radio in a more faster way through "Wireless Modem -> Serial -> Start -> [wait for 'com open error'] -> [your radio led shall stop to blink] -> Now 'Turn off flight mode'"
Restarting of radio is needed when u can't connect to GPRS (remote modem disconnected) OR when u need to switch to another sim
You can stay connected with GPRS after placing/receiving a call by:
1) connecting with GPRS
2) turning off your device
3) placing a call but cancelling it without having a conversation
Now you can place/receive calls without disconnecting the GPRS
My Orange SPV M1000 has never had a problem like this. I can be on the internet using Tesco payg sim and make or recive calls without interrupting gprs internet..
Operator version: 3.66.1.230
Rom version: 1.66.00WWE
Rom dare: 02/20/04
Radio version: 1.10.00
Protocol version: 1337.18
ExtRom: 1.66.230
yeah, as far as I'm aware i've never had problems with gprs disconnecting over phone calls..

Do you know if this is saved in Desktop Outlook after the synchronization?
It displays only the default ringtones.
How can I assign other ringtone that I have previously copied to Windows folder (with a white space before the dot extension filename)?
Thanks!

The ringtone place is under "Mobile number".
But it doesn't wync with MS outlook.
Is there something that can be changed in the registry to disable the "sending mms" and "downloading mms" notifications?

Event: Messaging: MMS downloaded/MMS sent/New MMS

Nope, there are also alerts for downloadING and sendING.
no idea then.. tried searching for "media message" (which seems to be the string actually used); no luck spotting anything. It seems as though the notification itself is given by the ArcSoft MMS software itself, at least.
I have just switched to T-Mobile in the UK from O2 and am using my Universal. I have no T-Mobile settings on the Universal so cant send SMS/MMS nor get online. Can anybody tell me where I can find these settings?
Thanks

For voicemail & text messages try this.
On your phone go to settings then select phone.
On the second tab is sevices, select this.
Scoll down the list and select 'Voice Mail and Text Messages'.
click on the 'Get Settings' button.
It then reads settings from network.
Hope this works.

Settings -> Menu -> All Settings -> Bluetooth
There is the 'gears' icon section (left tab)
Go to Advanced -> File Transfer and tick
"Allow Incoming File Transfer connections"
Press 'Done'
Then:
Press 'Object Exchange'
and tick "Allow this device to receive objects"
Press Next, then Done.
