hi all
I picked up a O2 XDA a few weeks back which had a bad RSU upgrade performed on it.... I have spent most of my time since I got it browsing over this site and others trying to fix it... I tried all the possible solutions with no luck. So I decided to send it off to the official O2 repairer here in Australia ( www.mpsqld.com )
It took 4 days for them to recieve it, it was entered into their system on friday, monday a tech looked at it, he did the required RSU upgrade fix and then posted it, all the same day... we recieved it friday with a grand total cost of $20.05 AUD , this included a $10.00 postage cost..
so the grand total cost of the repair was $10.05, it took 2 days to fix with 8 days mailing time...
so instead of loosing sleep trying to fix the problem like I did, look into getting it repaired professionally, its alot less stressfull
a very happy

If anybody here works for O2 Online, do you know how long the XDAII is going to be out of stock for !! ????????
I have been trying for like 3 weeks to buy one and all I get told is that they are out of stock and they have no idea when they will be back in !! Great customer service. !
Ta,
Rob.
If the distributor can't tell O2 when they will be back, O2 can't tell you.
Don't blame O2, demand has exceeded expectations, from what I hear, HTC is increasing the production rate.
You will get yours, probably with a better ROM that those of us who bought early.
Regards
Michael
Have you actually ordered one from them, or do you just ring up and ask?
I ordered my upgrade on Friday 20th Feb and had an email that it was out of stock but on the Monday 23rd I had an email to say it was dispatched and it had arrived by the 25th (3 Working Days).
Mind you I paid the full £350 for it , I heard that others have had better deals in the shops about the £200 figure (but I think the shops are having bigger problems getting hold of it with may having huge waiting lists).
Hi,
I have been calling the O2 Online upgrade line to upgrade. Think you might have taken the last one from their stock pile
Just tried them again and they told me to try calling again next wednesday

Hi,
has anyone had any dealings with this joke of a company?
i send my phone back to them the other day since their site said it was still under warranty (when it was 10 days over a year old, so presumed that they had some kind of leyway for slightly over a year old stuff)
after being on hold to them this morning for 45 mins i was told that it had been booked in as "out of warranty". now i've not had any contact about this. i was told to email some manager guy there but have had no response about it.
i've now been on hold for nearly an hour and dont seem to be getting anywhere. i just feel rather concerned that i've sent 500quids worth of phone to them to have them ignore my calls/emails and not even tell me about the findings of looking at my phone.
anyone? someone must have
Hi,
I actually had a problem with my Jasjar as well. I actually rotated the flip on the wrong side .
I have been advised by Clubimate to send it to SBE in the UK. I contacted them via their websystem, had my phone collected the next day by TNT.
After a couple of days, I received an email confirming they received it and another one with the price I had to pay to get it fixed.
I called them, paid by credit card and I finally received my phone back 3 days after.
I am quite disguted with the amount I had to pay, but, hey, that was my mistake...
My experience was obvisouly not happy but not as much as you described....
Did you get it fixed now?
Did you ever get your phone back and how much did they charge?
Hello
I shipped my TYTN to the UK for repair , two monthes ago!!
Those basterds dont even answer phones (all our lines are busy) or emails (no replay)!!
Anybody knows whats going on over there? Any suggestions ?
I am from Israel.
HELP!
How did you ship the phone? I'd hope you used DHL or some other courier which can track the shipment and provide proof of delivery. I'd also hope you bought insurance when it was shipped.
If you haven't had confirmation from HTC that they have the phone then maybe it hasn't arrived yet (stuck in customs?)
If the phone hasn't arrived you need to get on to the courier and try to claim from them or the insurers.
If it has arrived at HTC (provable via a couriers documentation) then write to HTC (recorded delivery), addressed to the Managing Director, and tell him you think that 2 months is an unreasonable time to wait - particularly without any answers, you want the phone repaired and returned and you expect a response within 7 days of him receiving the answer. Tell him that if you do not receive a response within 7 days you will consider that the phone is stolen and you will acy accordingly.
I have no idea what 'accordingly' means in this case because it'll cost you more than the price of the phone to take much further action.
As for HTC UK - I sent my phone to them (via Vodafone) earlier in the year. 3 weeks later (and many lies) they told me it would be at least another 6 weeks for the required parts to arrive. They are probably one of the worst companies it's been my displeasure to deal with.
Good Luck.
I didnt use DHL but rather USPS , as they are cheaper , insurance is 1000$ and i`ve just found out it is unclaimed , this might be the "stuck in customs" situation you were talking about ? I called USPS , they said someone has to claim it and nobody it!!
How do I unstuck it ? (sounds like a bricked TYTN ... brick type 4 ?)
Thanks..
I had given my Galaxy S I9000 to Samsung Service center in Visakhapatnam.
They said there was a component fault it requires minimum of 5 days to get the component and fix it.
i had given it on 6-12-2010.
and still today they were saying we require about 5 more days again.
What should i do?????
Is there any other way to repair my Galaxy????
dont expect to get a quick resolution.... most of the time they take more than 15 days to get things done!!...if u get it back before Jan, count yourself lucky
wat was the problem anyway?
Generally if they take over a month, get there and shout your way to the top guy there. I had a problem with my jet last year, after about 45 days when i got on their nerves, they told me that the spares were being imported from korea which would take another 30 days......................and when i faught hard, they offered to refund my full bill amount.
They take customers on a ride by saying a week............but they almost always end up taking a month.Even a small mic change on my Expore took a month here in hyderabad. If it exceeds a month, be stern and ask for a refund(in their language they call it a 'commercial solution')
Meanwhile you are entitled to have a standby phone from them. Have you got one??
-From Hyderabad
If my reply helps, dont forget to thank me.
I feel for you my friend
I have had problems with samsung electronics service before, so this time when I corrupted the bootloader of my brand new galaxy s, I didnt even think of going to the service center. I made the 3button download gig and got my phone back to working within 24 hours.
I suggest you too go this way, there are enuf competent people here on this forum to help.
Don't forget the amount of phones they have to see each day. India has a huge population

FYI, I sent my GT for repair on 6-8-11 they received it on 6-13-11 was fixed on 6-21-11 ( label printed that day ) still waiting to be shipped back to me as of 6-25-11 still hasn't been shipped back yet.
Samsung claims 5-7 business days to fix it, then 3-5 days to ship it back, guess that means 3-5 days for ups to pick it up then extra time for the actual shipping.
This is what you should expect if you need service.
Hope this helps somebody.
