Hi,
I have an Wizard phone (9100) and recently I update this ROM with WM6 following some tutorials at this forum.
Before flash ROM I did a full backup using Wizard Service Tool (Read ROM/ALL (at once)).
Now I need to restore my phone using this backup because I lost all my contacts list, I found all my contacts intacts inside WST_????-120_UA.fls file but restore manually or reading this file is a hard work.
I don't find any tool to restore the user area, not even Wizard Service Tool has this feature.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Danilo Pimentel
i want to upgrade it too.tell me if you faced other problems pls
Wizard Service Tool UA file
I too have tried to access the User Area file with no luck. I saw a thread to try winimage but I just get a blank image. Can anyone help?
Try opening the fls file with a desktop program called PSPad. It handles a lot of odd formats, including hexadecimal formats, and will be the easiest way to extract your contact info.
There is no known tool to extract and insert this data for you. I'm afraid you're being taught a tough but valuable lesson: always back up your PIM Data with a PIM Data Tool (such as DotFred's PIMBackup) before doing anything to memory.
Hey guys,
I'm glad to discover you!
I have a friend of mine has a Motorola MB525 and her kid made her a Christmas present early this year: factory reset.
The problem is that she didn't create a google account, so the contacts were not synced with google. And no backup to the external SD was made, unfortunately.
I don't use android devices so this is a bit new for me, and I don't want to make any mistakes.
There must be a way to recover it. I mean, a factory reset deletes the data, as a (quick) format does on a hard disk, but there are applications like get data back for NTFS or FAT to recover it (and R-STUDIO - there are a lot).
Now I have the welcome/first set-up screen. I didn't go with the set-up process, so I won't override any data.
How can I get those contacts back? Should I go woth the set-up process, install a file explorer and search the device for the files? Are they still there? Any ideas? PLEASE there were 900+ contacts and she can't get them back.
Don't get me as a noob, I work in IT, so I can do it with just a hint, but as I told you, android is a foreign OS for me, so I don't want to make any wrong step. Those contacts are crucial!
Thank you so much in advance!
Merry Christmas! Or Happy Holidays!
Best Regards,
Andrei
i don´t know any method that can help you, i really don´t know what is the precess that the phone follow to reset, but if is a format your posibilities to recover your data are so little
possibility?
Maybe if I create an entire image of the system? A .img, .imc or .vim so I can bring it to a data recovery software such as getdataback?
Any idea how to create this image file of the system?
Thanks in advance!

L.E.: Guys!
I found some apps that REALLY get data back if it is recently deleted and not over written. Now I just need to mount the system partition so I can access it from windows or to clone it to PC or SD card and access the Card.
How can I do that please? I need to CLONE it not to copy the files, because the copy and paste will only copy the visible files. The clone or mount will give access to the deleted files also.
L.E.2: Can this help? h ttp:/ / w ww.softpanorama. o rg/Tools/DD/recovery_of_lost_files_using_dd.sh t ml
Thanks!

Hi all,
On my phone the text messages and photos are accidentally deleted.
I need help in recovering them. I tried the trial versions of some software I found on the internet and none of them are working.
Is there anyway, I can access the file system and run a scan? The phone is appearing as a device on the PC. May be, if I can put t as an external drive, I can use good software I think.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi, everybody. A friend of mine is stuck with no wifi, so no mac address registered and no imei.
I need somone to check for if the file containing this info is nv_data.bin or .nv_data or anything like this because I can't any file close to this one. I found a method to restore from nothing but I need I think a file called nv.qcn. And I could manualy editing the file to add my own imei and mac address.
Can someone help me?
Nobody has qcn backup? Pleeeease!
You need to be careful with files like those. Have you tried a factory reset? Using MifFlash doesn't wipe data, if that's what you're worried about. It will probably be a good idea to backup to PC or microSD card, though.
After resetting and still no IMEI, I'll suggest this guide. It helped me restore mine when it accidentally got wiped a while back.
