Is there a way to reset the MMS database or remove it and force reinstallation?
My MMS database is corrupt after a hard reset, i restored SMS and their database works perfectly, however, despite the fact i didn't restore the MMS database in sprite backup the mms database is corrupted. If i create a message and save it in the drafts folder i cannot access it afterwards. and the draft counter shows 1.
please help
thanks in advance

I got the new version of sprite that fixes the SMS problem for restoring. I have restored my image and now my activesync mail is broke. No problem cause it will redownload the mail, I just have to resetup the parameters right??? WRONG.....When I try to reselect the inbox to sync, I get an error that it couldn't delete the old mail so it won't proceed. Does anyone know where those mail files are stored for activesync mail so that I can manually try to delete them?
Confirming that you had mail in your Pocket ActiveSync Inbox prior
to doing the backup? If so delete it now then do another backup and restore, that should fix it!
Do u still get this problems with the current 3.0 version of the back-up software?
anyone know if there is a program out there that lets you recover lost or deleted text?
I've searched around and haven't found any information. Is there a way to save your SMS and MMS files from the phone? Any tools? I am interested in upgrading to WM6, but do not want to lose my SMS and MMS messages.
An aside, if there is a way to get the messages off with full information such as who sent and when would be great.
Thank you in advance for the help,
Brent
If You want to backup your messages and contacts from your phone use Jeyo Mobile Companion 2.0 and backup to the PC or Jeyo SMS backup to backup directly from your phone
Hi,
I made a backup via ActiveSync. Later, when i restored my device, after the restoring process, the ActiveSync have reported an error, said that some of the files could not be restored since they where in use by another process or program (something like that), and the files which where listed were regarding to messaging application.
Now, everything work fine (as far as i could noticed) but when i enter the Messaging application (Text messages), i have a lot of messages which does not have an icon, and which i cannot see on click nor delete/move. In the Windows\Messaging folder, when i delete all files, the messages are still visible in the Messaging program, and again, i cannot do anything with them.
Could be some other folder i could delete to delete this messages too?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Igor
Just installed this and, after some frustrated attempts to backup and restore SMS messages, I finally got it to work.
Here's the key... backing-up PIM data does NOT backup SMS messages on the HD2. You MUST select the option to backup e-mails when running a custom backup if you want your SMS messages backed-up!
Hope this helps someone.
