Apparently not...

I'm currently using PocketX PhotoContacts and it works, but it's not great. I want a program where I can assign a picture I've taken with the camera without having to resize it on my computer first, as you do with CallerID. Maybe they will make that happen in the next version.
http://www.pocketx.net/products/photocontacts_ppc/index.html
Edit: Realized that v1.1 has this.

actually for me, CallerID works well except tt each time I hard-reset (and I do it pretty frequent ) the linkage between all the contacts and the photos are gone.
anyway to restore these information? I notice that each time a assignment is done, there's a file created in the ppc. if anybody knows the content and the structure of the file, I can write some program to backup and restore them!

Photo Contacts not working!

Hey all,
Can anyone tell me if they were able to fix the photo contacs app in imate/xdaII ???
Plus does anybody know about pocketNav for xdaII?
Thx...
this batch should resolve this problem
Hello
this is known issue on i-mate and it's been fixed below find the link if you want to download the fix file
http://www.imate.com/imate/files/gitex_update.cab
just download it and copy it to the PPC on storage directory and apply it within the PPC.
btw this will wipe off all data on your device so it's recommended to backup your data before you apply this batch and when done you need to do hard reset.
best regadrs and have a great day.

re
well I managed to fix any probs I had which pic caller id by moving O2active from the startup menu, Haven't deleted it just didn't want it starting up all the time.
Cleared a few other anomolies up as well.
Cheers, Shire
Sorry to dig up an old thread. I found this by using search.
I have an i-mate XDA2 clone. I installed the patch above and performed a hard reset. OK - caller ID seems to work now. Incoming calls have a name and a picture.
However, when I look at "received calls" it only displays the phone number with no name.
Is there a more recent patch that fixes this?
Since you don't state your ROM version and so on, I think you might be better of upgrading the rom of your device.
I've not read about any problems on that. As soon as the phone picks the Number who is calling, it associates that to the contact and it's photo ID and name. That is then logged onto the call history.
Be sure you look at the correct place, Call history has multiple entries for incoming, outgoing and missed calls, and an option to see them all, maybe you are looking at the wrong list?
Good luck!

How to export import call log / call history

I just want to know how to export my call log from a Qtek 9100 to another HTC Wizard device.
I used Jeyo Mobile Companion. It can export your call history, but cannot import it on another phone due to an error in the program.
Are there other ways to do it ?
Is the call history in a database which can be tranferred by using backup ?
The other way to export is SmartJournal
http://maniac.fschreiner.de/de/smartjournal.htm
I have no info about importing a call log.
This is for smartphones only. Not for PocketPC Phone Edition.
Anyone else a clue ?
I use it with my qtek 9100.
I need a similar application as well.
I want to save the call log from the 9100 to the PC, in any format that MSEXCEL can import in.
unfortunately i dont speak german.... some utility in english?
thanks
All that info is saved in pim.vol. Im not sure what program will let you view it properly though. You can make out the info in a text viewer, but there's alot of jumbled crap too.

any news?
do you only want to import/export? or do want the added feature of viewing it in excel?
I need to import the call log from the wizard to my PC.
of course i need a usable file so he CSV format will be the best
I need this for 2 reasons:
to check my provider's bill
to make an invoice to my customers
What i have understand about the program posted before is the opportunity to have the phone calls on your activities list in Outlook.
Anyway a simple TXT file is better than nothing!
I found this application. I have not tested it so good luck....
of course you might need this..

could you post some screen shoot for the cecalllogmanager.zip ????
Sorry but i dont know how to take a scree shot..... but... anyway the most important thing is that the utility make a CSV file where you get:
caller, phone number, start (date and time), end (date and time), roaming(false or true), incoming (false or tru) outgoing (false or true) missed (false or tru)
That report is little but enough for my uses.
it doesn't work on my Himalaya with WM5
it doesn't see any calls while call history has calls.
i am using Qtek 9100, i am having 2 problems, i think they r on similar lines.
first when i take out the battery, the date resets to the factory settings, which didnt happen before, also i cannot maintain call history of more than 10 days even when i keep the settings of 6 months also, can anyone guide me

Good ringtone manager ?

Whats a good ringtone manager for titan? One that lets you select MP3s or WMA when someone calls or displays a picture when someone calls. Thanks.

*Sends and receives SMS messages through your Google Voice account with DATA.
*Integrates with your Windows Mobile contacts, so that you may dial to your contacts that already exist on your phone.
New Features from website download:

This application works on Windows Mobile 6+ Professional with NETCF3.5 and above phones. The regular version should fit all QVGA-VGA phones, and the square version is pretty self explanatory.
Disclaimer: IT USES THE INTERNET TO DIAL AND SEND SMS, SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE A COMPARABLE DATA PLAN OR WIFI, DON'T USE IT.
The most up to date CAB will be on the OneDialer.com website, and you can get updates on Twitter here, and help on the forum here.Thanks.

It's as safe as anything else you do on the internet. Like I said, I'm not logging any credential info....it just gets passed to to google with SSL.
I noticed a bug, when you manualy dial from the dial pad you can't dial the number 0, when you dial 0 it comes up as a 9

Fixed and re-posted the new cab.
Nice stuff.
My specs are:
Omnia running 6.5 - WQVGA screen. I know some of these problems might be related to that.
First, I love the fact that you now have that SMS history. It kicks serious ass - I can use my keyboard with xt9 in it no problem or shapewriter - so great work.
However, I do have a problem when it comes to loading my contacts... for some reason nothing shows up. Before I was able to. So, now if I need to send an SMS I have to go into voicemail find the contact and then sms there.
How is the notification system going?
Is there a way to integrate the phone contacts with one touch - or visa versa?
Anyhow, Kudos... great work.
Looking forward to future releases.
Relay address?
I would like to use this with my T-Mobile ToGo prepaid service. However, their data service is restricted to certain sites. There is a workaround but I need the IP address of your relay in order to make the mod on my phone. Oh, and I need to be able to change the URL of the relay to something with tmobile in the URL. Basically what I would do is create a dyndns entry of tmobile.dyndns.org (or something) and then link that to your relay IP address.
Is there a way to change the relay URL in the application and can I get the IP address of your relay? I think it may work.
Thanks

You know what, I actually have a problem similar that I just noticed. It only loads mine up to the P's. Before it was a data source, and now it's enumerated. I'll work on that....don't know what it going on just yet.

Not really. What I had before, and what I hope to have again in a little bit is as close as I could get it. I did improve how the contacts worked, but it looks like I broke it too. Hopefully, I'll have the fix out later tonight.

The notification system would make this awesome. I thought that you might have been working on one because I think you said that the other thread. Anyhow, it would be great if a notification system could be implemented somehow.
And I guess as far as features go - I know that you were not paying too much attention to aesthetics, but perhaps you could have a button on the dialpad for the SMS history, contact list, or favorites, or something... that way the dialer would just be the main dialer I always use. This all piggy backing on the hopes that you get the contact list to work.
Anyhow, heres to future builds
::cheers::

I was just messing with you. The notification is already there, I just commented out the messagebox that tells you there's a new message. I did that because I'm trying to figure out how to send the event to the phone instead of a message box, because the MB won't pop up if the app is running in the backround.

if you don't put in any numbers and hit either the dial button or the sms button, the former takes you to your contacts(and I think I know what's wrong with it, fixing it now), and the latter takes you to SMS history.

Not a problem anymore. Fixed the contacts and a couple of other things and posted a new cab.
Great progress on this app (and in such a short time!). Finally just got the latest version installed and am playing around with it.
The buttons appear to be too big - I would guess I can see about a quarter of the icon I'm supposed to be able to see for ech of the numbers and the dial and SMS buttons down below.
When I click over to SMS history I get a "could not retrieve messages." error.
Dialing gets me a "web exception" error.
Im gonna keep playing with it though.
whoops. new build. should work now.
fixed the smsmessage history "error parsing message xml" error. new build posted. also fixed a small contacts error.
Is there a way to add an auto update function?
The screen does not fit properly in SE Xperia X1a. Can you make a version for WVGA?
- TKN
waiting on qvga. would be happy to test.

is it possible ??!!

I have a question maybe someone here knows a solution.
I got the idea when I made the following note. I have a old simcard whit sms and phone numbers but unfortunately I can not figure what the pincode was now I know that there is a sim reader but it makes no sense without the pin code.
Well I thought it is not possible at such a cab to make that a txt file where all incoming and outgoing SMS messages are copied and stored so you can always look back and also your phone numbers are copied.
This invention would be for all people who want to preserve their SMS. having regard to any programs I can write and I thought let me make it here that someone might ask whether this is a good idea to findit would be nice that someone here to find a solution
I like to see your reactions respond
sorry for my bad english
no one ??
I can give a donation for those who can make this
What is the point of this when there are many programs out there already to do this.
PIMBAckup by Dotfred is probably the best known, but we now also have Microsoft MyPhone that can do the same thing

M8, you can just use MyPhone: this will back-up all you SMS messages on-the-air, so every time you are buying a new phone, you just log in to your MyPhone accout and will automatically get all your SMS messages downloaded. Just like that!
It's times better than using any other solution!
Of course, you can view or delete the messages online, by using any browser and logging in to your account!
Hope it helps!

MyPhone comes installed on HD2 devices, or (if not) you can get it from the MarketPlace. If that doesn't work, use google to find an installer. It's a Microsoft app and you can set it to automatically backup all sorts of info from your device. There's a web interface where you can edit or archive things too. It's one of the first things I set up on a new phone.
