Does somebody know how I can change that? I tried to copy the folder "Lockscreen" in windows into My storagecard und put it there again after My backup but it didn't change anything.
SO help me Please.

If you restored a backup from another ROM you will likely have many more problems than just that, depending on the differences in the builds.
It is never a good idea to restore system files from a different build, even though the backup program will say it can do it, it can- just not correctly.
PIM restorals can also hose up Manila
**Also, this post belongs in the general section or your ROM's thread as it is not related to ROM development.**
But how can I corrext that?
Which file(s) Must I correct?
Help please..

I would like to create a theme for htc desire, my idea is just to change the colors of the background applications and change the color of the keyboard, I would have everything with black background and white text.
you can extract the original files and edit them android on htc desire?
you can then apply a skin on the original release of android, I would not installing any ROM.
There are themes for htc original unmodified desire?
My HTC is ROOTED.

You would need to change
system/app/HTC_IME.apk
system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk
system/framework/framework-res.apk
I don't know how to change the colour of font though, but changing the images is easy, they are all in res/ in the apk
And that's if modifying the original rom is possible
Thanks..
If I can extract them from the phone, this apk files, can I change it with the framework sdk and then install the new apk as a simple application or should I create an update file for use in recovery mode?

Make an update file for use in recovery or push them using adb, they won't install like normal apps
I have take the apk files from HTC, now how can i edit it? If I open apk as if they were zip archive, the files are corrupt, if I open XML files do not see them properly, but they have garbled characters! how can I do?
After opening the apk, go to res/drawable-hdpi folder where you can find all the images/icons.
perfect, I read your fantastic tutorial for images and icons.
But I would change the colors, the background and the text, the size of the text.
I know that these settings are written in XML files, but they are encrypted in the file that I take from my phone or files on any apk.
you have an idea how can I do?
i have this question too...the xml files are all with special characters not readable....i tried utf-8 and ANSI
Fantastic!
I found this tool on the net, the name is android-apktool at http://code.google.com/p/android-apktool/ .I tried it and it works, now I see the XML file! Incredible!
Let me know if you know it and if it is reliable.
hi, im rooted and running cm7 but wanting to flash this kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036996
but from what i've read this has a custom boot screen,
can someone please link me or upload the zip with the standard nexus s bootanimation so i can go back to that?
thanks
Idk if you still need it, but here you go:
http://www.mediafire.com/?7vm63bexn95u5z1
Do you need help flashing it? Cause it wont work if you just try flashing from the SD card. You need to move it to the media folder first and flash from there. OR if you wanted to use a third party software try: Boot Animation Changer LITE. Download it from market, open, allow super-user permission, select Advanced Settings, select backup animation, close. Mount USB and place bootanimation in "BootanimStock" folder, it should then ask if you want overwrite, yes. Unmount USB, enter BAC app, advanced settings, restore stock animation. And that should do it. Remember ALLWAYS Backup!!!
lol I know it seems kinda counter intuitive but its the only way i could get the free app to work correctly.
**Note I haven't tried this bootanimation myself yet, so sorry if its the incorrect one
I'm going to swap my phone for the black version tomorrow but I dont want to have to reflash the whole firmware so im going to trick them by putting the default boot animation back on it, can anyone help me by uploading this for me thanks, it;ll be found in /system/media/bootanimation.zip
No it isn't, the default is a .qmg file. So just delete the .zip file and it should revert to using the default.
Also remember to wipe the phone of all your personal data.
I found the bootanimation zip file but i cant delete it. Why is that so hard????
Install Darky OTA from Market and you have option to back to default boot animation (and some other good stuffs)

Hi, all
I have a problem with the lockscreen.
It happened when I replacing the files of "bootsamsung.qmg" , "bootsamsungloop.qmg" , "bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg" of /system/media to change the bootanimation using the Root Explorer, and then this problem started, I can not lock the screen, but I can turn off the cell phone, it's a thing of function button. When I turn on the cell phone, the bootanimation is in black, that is to say, I don't get the bootanimation.
I tried to go settings>>personalization>>lockscreen to change the settings of active screen and it don't work.
I tried to restore factory settings and wipe data, and it don't work.
I used the downloaded bootanimation with archives that contain "bootsamsung.qmg" and "bootsamsungloop.qmg" and copied to change his names "bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg", the download of this bootanimation is in <<http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2587092>> , the link is "BiosBootAnimation(Made_BY_NimaGL2).zip".
Can someone help me, please?

Try to set the boot animation all over again and follow every step (don't hurry or panic). Also take a look on the links posted by The dev of the boot animation. If it still didn't work please try to flash the stock boot animation via recovery. At last if everything didn't work put the rom on your sd card backup data and efs (titanium backup 4 example) and do wipe data and cache in recovery. Good luck

Did you reset the permission and ownership of each of the files?

Try it should work
I found where is the problem, is in the permissions of files that have copied, I changed to rw-r--r--, and before when I had the problem was rwxrwx---, was a detail, and wherefore the lockscreen didn't let me that lock the screen.
Thanks, all, now works perfectly.

Older thread but wanted to ask what specifically these two files do?
bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg
*I know bootsamsung.qmg (plays first at boot after Samsung logo)
*bootsamsungloop.qmg (plays second at boot)
*shutdown.qmg (plays when phone turns off)
But what do the other two do and are they needed??
bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg
Thanks,
