Hello,
I'm trying to write some telephone application that would answer incoming data calls (on Telefonica MoviStar TSM500 == Andes). But for some reasons built-in telephone application doesn't recognize if it's a data or voice call. In this case I cannot answer call on my application because popup hint covers my app. Does anybody knows how to either dissable telephone app or configure it to "wake up" only on voice calls?
Thanks in advance,
Albert

I wonder if anyone can suggest how to block incoming "unknown" calls. In other words how to allow calls only from my address book. (or at least allow calls that are not "hiden")
Thank you in advance
Hi,
just search for "call blocker" or "smartfilter" here in this forum...

Hey, as we all know, WM doesn't have a real and stable built-in voicemail program, due to hardware restrictions. I know you can't record the incoming sound (unless its on speaker), but I'm looking for a program that will do the following:
1. If I don't do anything when a call is received, I want the program to do nothing, meaning the call would go to the regular voicemail.
2. When I get a incoming call, I want to have 2 options: Answer or Filter. If I press filter, the program would answer the phone call, and automatically play a message (same as voicemail). Now I can't record the incoming voice, but I can listen to the caller and decide if I want to answer or not. This would give me the big advantage of a built-in voicemail and bypass the hardware restrictions.
So, to sum up, if I can't answer a call and can't listen to it at the moment, I won't lose anything, but if I want to filter my incoming calls, its a great way to do that.
What do u think, is there a program like that already? Is it possible to create one?
Hello friends. I have an HTC HD2 and am looking for a voice program to warn me about sms or phone calls. Can you give me any tips? Thanks.
Has anyone been able to successfully make outgoing calls through Google voice on their Sony Ericsson Arc?
I've done some searches on Google and this forum and it appears others are experiencing the same issue but there isn't a workaround yet.
Thanks in advanced!
Yes, I have been able to make calls with the Voice Search function. It works very well, similar to Vlingo.
Simply say CALL 'contact name'. If the 'contact name' has multiple phone numbers(work, home, cell, etc) it brings up a pop up box and you select the one you want and it dials.
Or you can simply say CALL 'contact name' HOME and it will find the home number and dial it direct.
Now for my question in the Google Voice search. It has to do with sending an SMS message. I am using the stock SMS app. If you say TEXT "contact name" MESSAGE "how are you?" it will send a text message to your contact with the message "how are you?"
Your contact gets the message but a copy of what you sent is not in SMS for that contact. I tested this a couple of three ways. My contact gets my message just fine and I can get their response in SMS like a normal message but I can not see what I sent them. The only exception to this is if you are already in SMS and in the text box and using a keyboard (such as Swype) that has a microphone button, if you speak your message while in the text box it will save a copy of what you sent in the SMS.
Otherwise if you are outside of the SMS program and use the Voice Search to send a text message your contact gets the message but you do not get a copy of the text that was actually sent.
Anyone else try this yet?
Using voice control to start a call is not the same as using Google Voice to make a call - Google Voice is Google's VOIP service which can be integrated into Android handsets.
Incoming telephone calls disrupts my skype calls. Is there a way to stop it on temporary basis? Airplane mode is an option, but I loose the option of 3G connectivity. Tried few call blocker apps, none of them really helped. Please share your ideas. Thanks.

My provider has call forwarding feature and I have tried it. That just solved my problem. Playstore has an app "Simple Call Forwarding" which is a one click option.
