How can I add my own words to the default dictionnary to improve typing messages in Phone Pad via T9 ?

When using the predictive text options, I noted that the words that weren't in the dictionary weren't being picked up by the imate. Is that normal or do I need to change any settings to get the imate to put these words in its databank? Thanks.

I have been looking for a while and can't find any answer. I use a English ROM and do most of my work in English but sometimes need to send emails or SMS in French but the XT9 is always set to the english and changing the keyboard layout doesn't change the dictionary.
Any way to have this kind of function?

I use predictive text for my SMS and was wondering if there is a way to edit the dictionary to remove misspellings that I sometimes accidentally add to it?
On Froyo:
Settings > Language & Keyboard > Touch Input > User Dictionary
Hello guys, I've got HTC 3G Dash (Snap) and managed to fit in Cyrillic characters by modifying the eT9.Maple.wwe.kmap file, so by holding any key I type the phonetic equivalent of Cyrillic, using the qwerty keyboard. I'm able to create Word docs, reminders or browse the net using Cyrillic, but sending SMS or e-mails, the characters which recipient gets are: ????? . Is there any specific font or Unicode for Cyrillic I could use so the Cyrillic letters could be read by the recipient? Thanks a lot!
