upgrade ram and radio to last versions

hi all my friends i'm just want to asking you !
whats... RAM , ROM, RADIO SYSTEM AND PROTOKOL functions (with the last versions) ?
where, i can get the sources to upgrade my xdaI ?
now i used O2 xdaI, with spec : - ROM VERSION : 4.00.16 ENG
- RADIO.S VERSION : 3.25.00
- PROTOKOL VERSION : 32S54
with my spesifications ..whats is your suggesting me ?

The RSU you have now is the latest for Qtek ... if it works fine don't upgrade it. For the ROM, there is TMO 4.01.00 but the current EXE file has the RSU part within and actually it starts by RSU upgrade then the ROM.
So, unless you know how to extract the ROM files from this EXE, I would advice you to stick to 4.00.16 or you may try 4.00.21 as well and you can get it from www.yorch.net

It seems you tried an official upgrade file which usually do a version verification. You better try a cooked ROM from www.yorch.net

WWE would bacically be customisation for use in US and other english speaking territories etc, however UK basically would have settings and configurations for use with the UK networks.

I was thinking the same... I updated my i-Mate JAM to the Qtek 1.11 and it has been very stable... However, I would like to get the UK Ext Rom (1.11.179) to give it a whirl...

Well I couldnt wait so I upgraded.. everything in the EXT ROM is the same as the QTEK 1.11 except
1 - the usual KSE FAX v2.09,
2 - Version_WWE_111132.cab
3 - Imatev1.00.1.0.cab
All other MMS, BT Patch, etc.. are exactly the same as the QTEK EXT ROM.
so to summarise, I wouldnt bother upgrading to this ROM if you already have the QTEK 1.11, unless you want the KSE fax or the imate customisation.
The curiousity has just wasted an hour of my work time.. :lol:
now Im back to hexediting the rom for big storage..

Can I use any of those roms, i´m not so good att this and I dont want to kill my s100....

I just bought it last night, But I have read all this forum about upgrading the Rom and everything, Since I'm a new member. What upgrade should I do and do I have to upgrade my MDA Compact?

well you should get the 1.11 rom if you dont have it now. and if you do just do the kksbigstarage 27 mb hack found on this forum. I did the origional anansky big storage hack and I love it. but that one has the qteck rom. I have an Imate Jam, and I really like the qteck rom. but if you want to keep your origional rom then do the kks.
oh and if you didnt know what those rom upgrades do they clear out your extended rom allowing you to use it for writable flash storage.

You ROM version 1.06.00. I would recommend upgrading to 1.11.00 WWE (World Wide English). If you upgrade, your EXT ROM and RADIO will be updated too.
Use the 'search' facility in this forum to get all the details on upgrading your ROM. If you need further info just ask. Someone here will always be available to help you. If you're not experienced with this stuff, and have any doubts about something ask first ;-)

I have tried to update my Radio version from 1.05.00 to 1.11.00 but failed due to ERROR COUNTRY CODE..
This is the software that I used:

i was fallowing this thread when I upgraded from the imate jam 1.06 (sucked) to the qteck 1.11 (great) and after that I upgraded to the anansky 1.11big storage. read through the thread for instructions it is easy

Did you get your MDA compact in the UK? because all your ROM versions are already higher than mine and t-mobile told me they'd email me if any new versions came out? So if you've got uk t-mobile with higher ROM versions im gona *****slap those gits and get them to send me new versions.

Everything seems much quicker compared to the K-jam rom I had previously. Used to hang quit a bit.

The first shipment Qtek WWE Rom has size ~45mb.
This brand new shipment Qtek WWE Rom has size ~52mb.
Why there is this difference between sizes?

I've upgraded my Swedish Qtek with that ROM, no problem whatsoever.
You just need to unlock your device first with lokiwiz utility: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33796
It is English ROM so if you would like to continue to use Swedish OS, don't use it. If yes, you need to install Default_Prodigy_Nordic_keyboard_1102.sa.CAB package to change the hardware keyboard layout back to nordic. You will find this package from this zip file ftp://xda:[email protected]/ExtRom_1030712_121_10410_Qtek_NOR_Ship.rar. To get Swedish keyboard on your screen you should install Skandinavisk tastatur for PocketPC which you will find at http://www.epocket.no/tastatur/

Original ROM was 1.3.7.13 SVE but I had already upgraded to 1.6.2.4 WWE (T-Mobile version).
Your device is most definitely locked - it's not SIM locked, but country locked. Try to run ROM upgrade and you will find out.

Speed of BA w/WM2003?

By virtue of my 2 x XDAII's failing for whatever reasons (abuse, long-life, etc.), I had to shift to one of my XDAII's (BA) with base OS:

I have found that this phone is WAY SLOWER than the XDAII - it's really incredibly slow! (And I had my XDAII with less RAM available!)
I have had problems connecting in Mumbai (India) with Vodafone (this happens with other units (EDGE modem/XDAII) too, but this is *extreme*!
I have to shut off the radio (put into flight mode) then back on, in order to connect to GPRS, or it simply will not connect!
I have tried flashing the ROM for the radio to 1.15, but I have to edit the file on the unit, else I get the error - it's really very time-consuming!
I'm afraid that all my time that I put into this unit will go to waste if I do not have a stable unit that I can rely on....
Any feedback on this?

Try the T-Mobile's rom or PDA2K's rom in Blue Angel Upgrading section.
The O2 rom bugs me too much.
Also install O2 Asia upgrade (I guess u r running a non asian one thats why BA isnt showing compatibility with ur network. Try upgrading to WM5/6 and see if u have luck on GSM/GPRS since majority of asian networks phail with BA WM5/6/6.1/6.5

Yes, it's the O2 ROM - not sure if this one was the one I bought in SIN or in the UK...any ideas, or way to tell?
Both were O2 branded....

Which is the best upgrade (simplest) to do, stable, with almost no bugs, with a similar to original config/options?

well first of all if you want less bugs do not install the OEM crapware (the extrom software) you may even resize the extrom partition to 128 k to use the space as storage
http://alevri.atspace.com/ - updated Shipped roms list and mirrors which i will keep online
My advice is to flash the latest t-mobile 1.42 rom delete radio and extrom update files and flash rom only

So, how does one delete the radio files?
I unzipped and extracted, then ran the .exe file, which started the RUU update.

explode... i have 02 XDAIIs, what your advice for ROM on my IIs? and btw i cant expand my extrom to 128K using tools on XDA-DEV (extrom_unlocker.cab and Repart_doc.exe) had any idea?

Why can't you? Keep in mind that you can only do this only in 2003. So, from what I have read in your other posts you are either in 6.1 or in 6.5 (going back to 6.1). You have to use the Repart_doc and the ExtRom Unlocker tools in order to do so.
Aside from everything, I have been using xplode's version of 6.5 and I am pretty happy with it (both stability and usability)-wise.
If you are absolutely disgusted by it, you should try sun_dream's 20578. Best 6.1 that I have had...

@egzthunder1: did back to original rom wm2003 02XDAIIs and other cooked rom in wm2003, but it failed due to physical logic reason when im runnig repart_doc.exe. but when im expand my SX66 its work!! weird thing.
