Hey,
Please could someone tell me how to reset the call timers under start -> settings -> device information -> call information
You cant as far as I know.
It is the same things as car travel meter
can you do that :?:
If i look under there on my XDA II, it says 'Unknown' for both outgoing and incoming. :?
How odd :!:

That's the odd thing....my phone isn't off. I've checked it straight after making and recieving a call. I think I must have done something to disable it accidentally.
try rebooting your device, after the reboot it should show the call durations

Hi,
I have an XDA2, is it possible to rest the call timers at all?
I have recieved a "new" XDA2 from eBay, but the current incoming call duraction is 1193046hr. 27 minutes  while outgoing is 0.
Craig.
That is funny... A quick math reveals your phone has been used continuously for more than 136 years...
But to offer some help, go to the Phone application, go to Call history, and then on the command bar, select the menu Tools -> Call Timers
-edit- and press the Reset button
Once you have received and made your first call the timers will begin to register correctly.
Cheers for the quick replies, but i have a little problem, i cannot find what you are talking about!
Could you give me some simple steps if possible, Start> Settings> etc etc
Cheers,
Craig.
Oh,
I have found what you were on about, but the timers there were at 0. I hit the reset button anyway and made a quick call, but i still have that massive call duration in the "device information".
Craig.
I too had the same HUGE call duration figure but, as cruisin-thru said, once I made & received a couple of calls, the timers reset themselves & now show the correct usage times.
Guess its just an issue with the phone software, as I purchased mine from O2 as an upgrade.
Ah, i have just recieved a phone call, and the timers have reset.
Very strange.
Hi,
So I have a major problem with my Exec and wanted some advice before doing a full reset. When I get an incoming call I hear it ring once at most and then it seems to hang and push the call through to voicemail. Is this a known bug ?
Also when the phone was working I could never answer a call when the phone was closed - when I open it and click on answer 100% of the time the caller had be pushed through to voicemail.
Thoughts?

@monkeyleader,
which mode are you using? I use Corporate mode and I have not had any problems (did have problems with the phone on my JJ however).
Also, make sure you don't kill the "phone" process with the o2 task manager in the non-Corporate modes.
Its in corporate mode as far as I know - this was working, and indeed it does ring, Im just unable to answer the dam thing

@monkey
I assume you've tried the SIM in another phone to check that there are no problems with the SIM
@jah
either in Corporate, basic, personal, if u kill the phone.exe proces it will do those problems, but his problem si probably the SIM card

HI all
Hoeping some one can help me,,, If my xda exec is switched on and an incoming call comes in it starts ringing stright away as you would expect. However if the xda exec is in standby mode, it takes 3 or 4 rings before the xda wakes up and starting to make the ring tone sound. Is this a "design feature" or is there somthing i can do to resolve it, As most people seem to hang up after 6 rings and my xda only rings after 4 I am missing lots of calls.
Hope you can help
Paul
You can try and install the Radio Upgrade 1.06.00. It doesnt require a hard reset (loss of all data), and appears to fix up that problem from everyone who has tried it.

You can alter the duration the phone will ring for before it goes to voice mail or divert (depending on how your set-up is arranged) Go to Settings/ Phone, select the "Services" tab, highlight Call Forwarding, then press get settings, the phone will retrieve the data, in the midle of the screen is "Forward after" and a drop down box set this to "30 Seconds" - you might find it rings for longer now as the default is 10 seconds I think - Mike
Thanks for your replys, I have already put the 1.06 radio upgrade onto the device..
I will change the voicemail pickup time that should help thanks
I have found that if i turn of the power management settings so that the device does not go to sleep after 3 minutes then this problem is fixed, Calls come though to the xda within 1 ring,,, However I dont know if this is going to cause the battery to drain to quick, as the screen is on still (although backlight goes out)
isnt there a registry hack for this?
Hi,
Can someone tell me how a can redirect a incomming call to the mailbox when I don't want to answer that call?
I only can decline the call and then the caller gets a busy tone and know that a pushed the call away....
Settings>Phone>Call Forwarding>Get Settings...
Make sure "No Answer" is ticked and diverts to your mailbox number.

Thanx for your help, but that one I know...
What I want is to stop the phone ringing and push it to the voicemailbox!
Now I have to wait 30 sec before the call is redirect to the mailbox...
In conjunction to "elyl's" suggestion, if you don't want to hear the phone ring, then turn the volume off. Otherwise you need a 3rd party software like Phone Alarm.

but sometimes you just don't wanna talk to a person that is calling you... and I don't mean because I'm busy or something just push it away to the voicemail.
I use Phonealarm but it didn't give me the option when the phone rings (with a certain person I don't wana talk to) push it to voicemail!
So now I leave it ringing and then it goes to the mailbox at last.
I've just tried it on my Magician. If you press the red/end button right after it ring then the call is redirected to the voice mail.
hmmm, when I push the red button it gives a busy tone to the caller...
Thanx for trying
do you have the other call divert (when busy, when out of range, etc.) functions active?
Must be an operator-dependent thing then, cos when I reject a call it gets sent to the mailbox. Dial into your mailbox and see if you can change the settings.

Yes when I don't pick up or when the phone is off it go's to the mailbox.
this is for you......good luck trying to get it to work....i didn't have much time (spend about 1hr trying to get it to work)
http://www.winmobileapps.com/device/pocketpc/csb/csb.aspx
Finaly it is working!!
I just re enterd the voicemailbox number and send it again to the telecom provider.... :?
Thanx again for your help and testing...
great to know that you have it finally working
One day I learned (by accident), that if you use the hardware volume button while the phone rings, it will mute the ring tone. That way, you can let it "ring" in silence for the duration of the 30 seconds before it forwards to your voice mail.
I use the vol down in these situations, but I think it also mutes on vol up.
Lately I have had people telleing me they have called. But the phone showes no missed calls. Sometimes I also have calls from friend Ihave as contacts, but the sreen only keep showing Home-screen or just the locked screen.
Anyone with a similar problem and suggestions? I still run the 1.48.40.1 ROM - have had no reason for upgrade, until now??
Johan
Are you sure you have signal when they call, If there is no signal your phone wont show anything.
If you are having this problem when you have signal then I would suggest possibly a hard reset and see if that works.
You are right about the signal.
Problem is, to-day I had a call I didn't catch soon enough. It was ringing normally, but when finsihed, the phone showed no missed call, which it should have. So I had a clear "evidence" of some malfunction. But maybe I try a hard reset befor upgrading if no one else has other suggestions - seems a less fearful procedure...
do you have any mods installed like s2u2 or cht? or something similar that deals with calls or shows information on missed calls?
btw a hard reset will delete all your data so backup ( but dont use backups between rom versions)
not sure if this will help...but is your missed call notification disabled?
you can check in many ways, but the easiest is to go to the "Settings" tab in Sense...then choose "Sound & Display", then go into "Notification Sounds" under "Ring and Notifications" and make sure the "Missed call" option is set to "On".
Thanks a lot for the effort. Unfortunately, it was ON.. And it must be, if it does not turn itself on and off, then every other missed call does show up telling me so...
