Hi, I'm having some trouble with my phone. Whenever i start it up it goes into the 3 color mode(I accidentally deleted the software from it) and I can't connect it to my computer through usb(it doesn't see the phone). How can i restore my phone? Can i flash a rom to it with the SD card? If so, how would i go about doing that? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
if it runs in to tri colour bootloader, tell us the bootloader version...
or just terminated the activesync (wcescomm.exe) process frm task manager..
run mtty and do the reflashing again (in case U already downgraded ur bootloader

Teach me how to boot from SD card?
I've made something wrong during reinstalling OS on my T-mobile SDA smartphone. There is no any way to enter into boot loader, just blank white screen. So what I want to try is to boot OS from SD card.
Can anybody give me instructions which file to put on SD card and how to boot it again?
I will apreciate any kind of help.
Hi all,
my EU HD2 has some strange issues:
a) it doesnt boot anymore at all. just shows a blank white screen (Stock ROM 1.72 from O2 DE)
b) HSPL2.08 is installed, but I can't install another or original SPL. HSPL tool says "its done" but next boot its again 2.08HSPL
c) RUU doesn't work, simply hangs at 0%.
d) ROM flash by sdcard doesn't work; took the O2 1.72 RUU_signed.nbh, put it onto a 2GB SD Card, but nothing happens when I load the bootloader. Doesn't matter if card is FAT,FAT32 or exFAT.
e) screen has a broken flatcable, colors look like on LSD, which is why I wanna go for warranty. obviously I can't with the HSPL still installed and no way to show staff the weird colors.
Anyone got an idea what the f*** is wrong here?
Thanks,
Marco
edit:
- tried different machine and 2 different SD cards, no change for a)-e) :/
I bought T mobile HTC HD2 it was displaying Stick together whenever switched on. Just once it booted normal after a long time but then again it was just displaying Stick together.
I decided to upgared the ROM. It has SPL-2.08.0000
I downloaded the latest ROM from T Mobile 2.13.531.1 and went into boot loader connected USB it dispayed USB (i.e changed from Serial). I started after it was done 8 pct it stopped.
I also tried putting NBH directly into the sd card with leoimg.nbh but it is just displaying "upgrade rom error code"
Please help as what should I do next.
Many thanks

almost did everything
well i have been trying continuously since 8 hours but nothing seems to work. I have HSPL3 and when ever I try to flash any rom (have downloaded tons of roms - lol)
it some time just stucks in begining, some times it stsrts and losses communication with the phone from boot loaded. I even tried butting the RUU_signed.nbh to sd card by naming in LEOimage stuff as it is said in the posts and then did vol down pluspower but it seems like it is not even reading from the sd card.
I am not sure what else can I try. I am able to do task 29 from boot loader. I see tri color screen soI am getting into boot loader but I do not know what the h... is wrong with this device.
If some expert can give me directions from here I will highly appreciate. Thanks

You try flashing it without the microSD card in there just for kicks?
Lready tried. With Micro SD without MicroSD with SIM without SIM. One strange thing is when the RUU is gathering data from Device before starting the flash and where it tells you the old rom and the new rom ver. I do not see any old rom version. Could it be something serious.?
come on experts I have tried what ever i could getting the info from the net. Should I give up on this HTC HD2 and consider by purchase a loss.
The RUU not showing anything for the old ROM version doesn't mean anything. And I would call up HTC and see what they say about warranty status at this point.
Need Nand Flash Dump for HTC HD2 TMOUS
After a lot of time I have contacted a repair shop (after bricking my phone of course). He jtagged and he is also not able to flash into the phone. He advised if we can get hold of a TMOUS (the one which I have and is faulty, 16GB card) nand flash dump then he can try to flash the nand via that dump.
So any one who can give me the nand flash dumpfor tmous htc hd2 16gb mem card.
my email is [email protected]
I will be grateful, as I am not in US so warranty is kinda difficult. Some one sold me this phone over ebay.
Okay do what now? You need a NAND dump of a TMO US HD2? As, a stock 2.13 ROM HD2? What's this about the memory card about?
i have same problem. can not flash.
but will try task29 first.
plz help.

I had this same problem and it is a very easy fix. I rolled back to and original rom. Download the Rom to your Then right click the rom and extract the RUU file.
copy it to your SD card. I couldn't get my 16gb card that came with my HD2 to work doing this so i used my wife's 2gb-4 card. Format the card to fat 32. Rename the extracted RUU file to LEOIMG.nbh my you can download winzip for free to extract the file. The problem is that the phone is set up for fast connection. However you cant change that if the phone wont boot.
let me clean this up a little
1) Download and install winzip
2) Download T-mobile HTC latest update
3) right click update and select extract RUU file
4) rename file to LEOIMG.nbh
5) Format SD card to Fat 32
6) Copy LEOIMG.nbh to SD (I couldnt get my 16gb card to do this)
7) Install in phone and boot
You may notice that i only have a few posts. thats because i an a Noob.
If you search the HD2 ROM development forum for Flashing your First GSM Noobs guide it has almost all the answer and if it doesn't the answers are linked in there somewhere.
Again Im just a noob so if you follow my directions and trash your phone sorry.
Im just trying to help.

Thanks
Ok. I have a HTC HD2 t-mobile. Someone gave it to me to see if I can fix it. So I have NO clue how it got to the point it is at now. All I know is that you power on and its a white screen. No HTC logo. Just white.
Enter boot loader: Red/Green/Blue/Black/White.... Its says:
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.10.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
SERIAL
Thats it. It doesnt connect to the computer.
What can I do? I tried:
CLEAN INSTALL
It’s a pretty long process, however, it takes a shorter time than the Installation of NAND Android. It takes me about 15minutes. It should take you about half an hour but no more than half an hour.

Wipe phone memory completely.
Install DFT MAGLDR.
Install ClockworkMod Recovery.
Create EXT3 Partition with ClockworkMod Recovery. (This step will wipe everything on our SD Card.)
Transfer ROM(zip file) to SD Card with ClockworkMod Recovery.
Install ROM from SD Card with ClockworkMod Recovery.
Details will be provided for each of the 6 steps.
But the phone and computer cant communicate. I have tried a hard reset. So thats where I am at now.

Ok. So I tried to flash the stock ROM from the SD card. It didnt complete. It says that it failed. It says at the top

I can not get HSLP on my phone. I have tried versions 2,3 and 4... Is the phone done???
So I know I am a pain. But I have searched and read just about everything I can. I have tried to flash the stock ROM, I get an error of Radio Fail. I can not flash any other ROMS because I can not install HSLP.... I can connect via USB. But Windows Mobile Device center does not acknowledge the phone. I have ran the Task29... well tried... it says image is corrupted. I have even stuck the dang thing in the freezer like I have seen in random posts. Nothing but a really cold phone.
When I try and install HSPL3 I get an option to choose 2.08.HSPL or 2.08.0000 I have tried both. I get the critical error... Error code 16 description unknown.
I have tried following every set of directions I can locate in xda... Nothing has worked at all.

Hi to the experts!
I have a very similar problem, maybe "almost" identical...
My HD2 (Australian Telstra, stock in almost every way), and it has been reliable for 2 years from new.
Then last Saturday night it started "failing to load HTC Sense", but all the WinMo 6.5 stuff was still fine. This lasted for 2 days and I thought it was stable like this so I would have time to look for a new phone, but last night I turned it off and on again, and all I have is the white screen. Mine has the green htc on it, but the only way to make it go away is to take out the battery.
I tried the volume down / power ON and I get the RGB+W screen, and when I plugged it in via USB to my new laptop it loaded drivers and initiated Windows mobile device center - but it won't recognise that there is a device there.
Now my very strong desire is to somehow boot it to allow recovery of my contacts directory - I have just started a new job and have probably 40 or so new people in there since my last backup.
What are my options? Is there anyway to boot from SD card without erasing the whole of system memory??
Failing that, how do I flash back to stock?
thanks (in hope)
..Neil
Stock WM
Try installing stock WM 6.5. There are many links available for the same, google it.
Do this without the memory card.
Enter Bootloader by pressing volume down and power on button together.
Then run the WM ROM file on your computer. You must see the progress bar on your phone. Let it settle down.
Hope that helps..!!
I`m writing this after almost a full day of searching and testing with no luck.
I have friend who tried to upgrade Rom into his Touch HD and failed.
Right now all the phone does is to start in tricolor menu. I have tried several Roms but when trying to flash they get stuck at 0% and after a while it ends up with error 262. Same thing happens when trying to upgrade to HSPL also (i do not have a working Rom on this phone, just a tricolor menu which starts automatically when phone started ). I have tried to flash rom with SD card (2Gb), and with Ruu with Win7 and XP.
Info :
Blac100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) V6
How can i recover this phone? Can anyone pls help me ?
I have attached a Print screen of my folder dedicated to this phone. Everything there i have tried.
oh my god...you tried to flash a ROM without SPL!? are zou crazy? first you have to flash HSPL, search for the latest spl 1.56 olinex and when you get the (.nbh) file, name it to Blacimg.nbh and put on SD card (on root!) then it will appear a confirming message to install the .nbh, and you confirm.
note: not having HSPL is pratically the same thing has having a locked bootloader...

Yes i know... not me was the one who tried... i have received it like this, and trying to recover it. The idea is when trying to install HSPL it get stuck at 0%, and the alternate method implies booting into system... but i do not have a system on device. I have also tried to download the official rom from HTC website.... and after 1% it says "invalid vender ID".
Flash SPL from sd card. Name the file as BLACimg.nbh and put on sd root. Then enter Tricolor screen (If it doesnt go automatically) and confirm the flashing. Then SEE If you get the htc logo and a empty shell ( black screen) . If you do good, now normally Flash a ROM ( you can use sd method or throug pc

If it doesnt work try another sd
This what i`m trying, but it get stuck to "loading" . I have downloaded "HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex" , started "HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe" , nbh file apeared in same folder, copied to SD (formated to Fat32, default alocation unit) started phone, gone in tricolor then "loading" message on screen and nothing else (for 10 minutes already).
hmmm... keep waiting
finaly solved
I have finaly solved it. First you need Windows XP on PC. Download USPL 2.5 and open a CMD window. Start utility to upgrade to HSPL OLINEX and after presing update , and progres bar apears on phone execute fast the uspl in cmd window (otherwise it will say it cannot open USB port). After this you phone will reboot in tricolor but instead of SPL you will se USPL 1.14. Disconect usb from phone and reconect it, now it should say is connected to USB. Relaunch the HSPL update utility and wait to get to 100%. When done phone will reboot into system (if you have any).
its a way, but you could simply flash hspl trough sd (use other sd if that doesnt work, I needed to cange too!)

Believe me ! i have tried with four different SD cards, one of them indeed did not worked (a 4Gb). I do not know exactly what happened to the phone but it was impossible to flash anything to that phone (except some shipped roms witch would fail after 1% with invalid vender ID on pc and some 28008 error via card) . As i said one post earlier, the only way was via USPL, witch needed a workaround method (because it too failed with "could not access usb port" error). And the USPL worked only on Win XP and had a very narrow time window to execute the file (to have the USB port accessible ). After changing to SPL 1.56 Olinex phone booted with the old WM 6.1 stock. But i have changed 3 other roms after that, finally settling to energy Rom. With Olinex i had no problem at all flashing the Roms. I have even flashed a new radio, with absolutely no problem. Don't know what was the problem exactly, but the old SPL 1.54 had some serious issues !
I`m just glad i have revived this phone (witch btw, is not even mine)....
the old SPL, was locked lol. It's the stock SPL straight from HTC. But doesnt matter, good thing you solved your problem
10x
Wow, thanks alot for this post. I've done the same thing as you and crashed my HTC. Problem solved with Win XP, but more simple. Just executed USPL.exe and, job done. I think in Win7 was the problem with certified drivers. Think that can be solved in a fresh instalation of Win7 but not with certified microsoft drivers or HTC Sync installed. Anyways thanks alot. You've been a lifesaver.
